The boldness of my pup Remington nearly cost his life. He rushed a bull and was left with under 10% health then went hmm bison look tasty😂. I saw the bison rusn and booked it opposite direction and took a nap. Waited for him to grab a rabbit then went hunting again. 😅 the many uses of a bunny. Great hunting gag! Keni is giving some flash backs! That boy might be a touch too eager. At least he has a bit more sense than Remington
I have a pup like this too, her name is fylaita. Yesterday i played wq,and she ended up with about 4% health.( she thought it would be a good idea to run into a bull moose and take a fight)😂😂😂
Tip for keeping your pups from rushing in and getting trampled by the elk herd or choosing a high health elk: Bark. When you bark all your pack mates will circle around you and allow you to make the first move. If they start to go off on their own just bark again
I got curious after one of my yearlings dispersed. I've reset the save three times to see what may happen whenever I started the dispersal save. He was one of the lower rated pups, but not the runt. My first save, as soon as I found a mate - my entire former pack dispersed. I saw when the territory started to rapidly decay, looked at 'Known Wolves' and all of them had left. Eleven wolves gave up prime 40 hexes and left the map entirely. So, I couldn't interact with them anymore. I thought this was a terrible outcome, so I reset the save. The second save I literally could not find a mate. I went to the fringe of all the neighboring packs as my dispersal was a male. Even though, the packs should have been the same configuration, they just all decided to remain hostile. So, I thought I'd try the pack take-over method and kill the pack leader males. I hunted them and I kept checking and sleeping, but again they stayed hostile so I never could see their diversity ratings. My former pack stayed through the entirety of that save, they didn't have any other dispersals and I ran into them often as I was constantly shifting around their territory searching for pack wolves and dispersals. I even helped them during a territory dispute, not that they appreciated it. I think I played over an hour and a half on that save and only found two, 4 year old dispersal females that were 2-star diversity. I gave up and deleted that save as well. The third save, I managed to take over one of the packs easily, without even killing the pack leader of the same gender. I guess they had died randomly, or my natal pack killed him off-screen, because I never met him in my known wolves. One of my litter mates dispersed, and I got an achievement of finding him before either of us found a mate, so that was nice. My natal pack also stayed on the map. So, I thought with three growing pups, one subordinate, and a nice 3- star young mate I found the save that I would use. That ended brutally though, as soon as I chose the pack, I took over territory and expanded it. I thought I'd make it easier on my natal pack and took out the leaders of the second largest pack still left on the map. I claimed their territory, then I was raided and killed the leader of the 4th pack. That left only my pack and natal pack as the two packs that had leaders. Long story short, my natal pack systematically hunted my pack down. They managed to kill all three of my pups before they hit the requirements. As they killed the higher weight and higher trained pups first, which was just random bad luck. I lost the first one at 85% and 79lbs, the second at 92% an 81lb, and the third at 98%, if he had survived the raid, we could have moved on. I do not know if that was because there were only two stable packs on the map, mine and my founding pack. I didn't want to kill off my founding pack. It also seems like they killed off all of the pups and yearlings of the other packs as well... there were a lot of red X's.. and I honestly didn't feel like starting over with new pups and a subordinate on a wolf's save that wasn't my favorite in the litter to begin with.
oof that sucks lol, but also were you going easy on your natal pack? bc if you were maybe it was making them bolder? Idk. if you tend to kill a lot of wolves from other packs and your pack was small then maybe it was the size diff in packs or lack of you thining there numbers? idk how it works lol
Unfortunately Hellroaring mountain is a bit of a dead zone in terms of elk, especially the area you’re in. I played there for a chunk of the Saga beta, the instinct to go for mule deer is a good one! It takes 2-3 to fill a pack, but they go down easy. Moose can also be an option, though probably not during young hunters. Pronghorn are easy to push against the rocks on this map, they’re a nice little snack. Best of luck!
I was re-watching and noticed the first litter death was because they couldn't get to the den fast enough. Maybe instead of letting them roam so far away, you could consider barking at them to keep them close. I usually am like an "overbearing" kinda wolf parents. I want the pups to stay closer to the den, so I walk like a step and I'm pressed against the entrance. Instead of running off to grab them everytime, I just bark a few times and they all gather around. It's especially comforting for sleeping. Finally another thing I noticed, is that you walk the sick pup to the den. Wouldn't it be best to woof them and then run off to attack so the enemy doesn't get any closer. I take the cougar dens and the Cougars come from pretty far off so usually I just woof and run off to go fight them and occasionally when I'm hit off and my mate attacks, I'll do a quick circle to ensure everyone is in the den. That obviously depends on the amount, but if they far away, go to them and try and keep them away. Just some things I picked up on that might be useful.
In my current WQ world, I recently took over a pack and already have a lot of wolves. However, Buffalo Plateau nearly killed one of them, so it feels like I’m at war with them right now. Still, I absolutely loved the video!
For my save, Pure Night Pack one of the yearlings dispersed (I got Early Graduate from this) and it was my first dispersed pup. He was and is my fave from that litter and I shall miss him :( (anyone remember Blazing in other vids? If you do, his name is now Blazing Trail and yes he dispersed, I'ma name his little sister (Blooming) after him.)
So idk if anyone else has had this but in my main saga game I’m on my 4th litter and rn I have 20 wolves including me and my mate 8 subordinates 4 yearlings and 6 pups I’m expecting at least 2nd disperse before my 4th litter is old enough to hunt and at least 1 to die but still even if half my current litter dies and 2 disperse it’ll be fun hunting and fighting other packs with 15 wolves
Its out i can finaly play saga as wel but omg easy isnt that easy anymore i lost 3 pups already with my 7 year old wolf honestly i knew saga wasnt gone be easy from watching jay videos but im suprised at the change feeling the game has now
another fantastic episode, Thanks Jay Also I've been thinking of finally getting this game recently, does anyone know how this game runs on a laptop? I have a feeling it might be super laggy, but I don't have anything better.
Thanks for the analysis! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
kenai is always there for the finishing blow 😂
Koda and Merida follow his example way too hard, guess it's because of their bear trait!
Saga just got fully released!!! so excited!!!
WHAT???
What!?
YESSSSSSSSSSSS
Dev blog announced it!
Ikr I expected multiplayer

Yeah, I’ve found it’s much easier to take down a few mule deer rather than running around the entire map looking for elk
Can't wait for your Chaos crew to join you in one of your future WolfQuest videos 😂🎉🎉🎉🎉

I was thinking, what if you kill one of the rival leaders. Maybe then one of your dispersal pups will become their leader.
I love this
another fantastic episode, Thanks Jay

I play it on a macos, not exactly the same, but not so different. Its honestly not that bad, just a teeny bit laggy sometimes.
Suggest getting it on steam
@@jolly_like_me Ok, thank you!
My pup Nightwing dispersed and then rejoined my pack the next year because he couldn't find a mate/pack to join. So there is a chance they come back.
