I love these guys. I think they have a great sound but I could not shake the comparison to AcDc and Bon Scott. Join the discord :discord.com/invite/qSxXwy44CA
Marc Storace was AC/DC's first choice to replace Bon, he turned them down and disappointed fans started calling Krokus the Fake AC/DC, because who turns down the sweetest frontman position in Rock n Roll? Marc never lived that down, he said he wouldn't change a thing, he'd turn them down again if he went back in time.
I've heard this song a million times before the age of 20, and haven't heard it until now at 53-years since then, and YOU'RE RIGHT! And I never thought about it back then, but his voice DOES SOUND like Bon!!! Dude, thank you FOR THAT!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Tony Platt who engineered Back in Black and Highway to Hell for AC/DC produced this album. Its no coincidence it sounds like AC/DC. I saw them on this tour with Gary Moore opening for Def Leppard on their first tour as a headliner. One heck of a show. Cape Cod Colosseum. Crazy story about how it happened but met Dev Leppard it was quite surreal.
I too prefer the Bon Scott era of AC/DC and when Krokus arrived on the scene, singer Marc Storace was the answer to my Bon Scott prayers. Lol I hope you will check out Eat the Rich and others are: Headhunter, Ballroom Blitz (Cover) and Midnite Maniac. You are right, if Marc would have joined AC/DC, they would not have skipped a beat🤘🏼
I've heard this song a million times before the age of 20, and haven't heard it until now at 53-years since then, and YOU'RE RIGHT! And I never thought about it back then, but his voice DOES SOUND like Bon!!! Dude, thank you FOR THAT!!! 🤘🤘🤘
I worked for them for 3-4 years as their lighting director. As a matter of fact I lit this show. Great band. Fernando Von Arb is/was a totally underrated guitarist.
There's an urban legend that while Krokus and AC\DC were touring together, one of Krokus guitarists stole Malcolm Young's notebook for a 1982 AC\DC album. That's, accoeding to that story, that One Vice at a Time sounds so much like AC\DC and why idem didn't published an album in 1982.
This is the first song I heard by KROKUS back in the early 80's. And like most people,I thought it was AC/DC. But its still one hell of a headbanging kick ass song!! Was lucky enough to see them live a couple times back in the 80's.
Their cover of Ball Room Blitz is the best version hands down. Saw them several times in the 80s and early 90s. One of my Top Hard Rock/Metal Bands. They are stil in heavy rotation in my Playlist.
I saw them on the One Vice at a Time tour in '82 in a small historic movie theater in Corpus Christi, TX. Then I saw them the following year on the Headhunter tour in McAllen, TX. What a great live band. Looks like they are currently touring. Check out their website for tour dates!
Saw Krokus multiple times in early 80s they rock! They do sound like ACDC is very true. That's where comparison ends for me. Malcolm and Angus have created some of the greatest riffs in rock history...they could fill out a full setlist if songs everyone in the world knows. Saw Bon lead them in 79 before Highway to Hell tour. No comparison except Krokus does sound like acca dacca
Love it! Great reaction T. Shout out to Brad for the recommendation. Yeah I do love me some Krokus! And so glad to hear you're still loving Screaming In The Night! One of my fav songs of all time. Keep rockin', T!!!
If you like Bon Scott check out the Sensational Alex Harvey Band. Bon Scott pretty much took his schtick from Alex Harvey. AC/DC’s song Jailbreak has a lot of similarities to Framed by the Sensational Alex Harvey Band.
One of my favorites from Krokus. I always thought he should replace Bon, but Back in Black never would have been the same because Brian wouldn't have been there to write the lyrics.
Great Reaction Great Song If you get a chance check out the Studio Version. You Will play that once a week also. Listen with your eyes closed. Bon Scott & AC/DC will come to mind
First time i heard this song was about 2 am on a radio station and thought it was acdc but found out it was krokus loved it went out and bought the album
That guy sounds just like Marc Storace! 😛 Seriously, I don't think Marc sounds like Bon, except on a very superficial level. Udo Dirkschneider from Accept sounds a little more like Bon than Marc does, imo, but still sounds more like Udo than Bon. They are all unique, *especially* Bon, and I would never mistake one for another.
Fun Fact: Vocalist Marc Storace was asked to replace Bon Scott in AC/DC, he said no. Krokus was called the fake AC/DC for years after that, they never even did an AC/DC cover because of it, and they covered a lot of bands. A couple standouts are Queen's Tie Your Mother Down, Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf, Rockin' In The Free World by Neil Young and Bachman Turner Overdrive's You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet.
No offense to Bon Scott ( loved him ) but Storace is a far better vocalist. When I first heard these guys and tried to explain them to my band mates...I said...Imagine Bon Scott with more range and soul singing songs that are similar to Def Leppard.
The whole Headhunter album kicks ass . Metal Rendezvous also a good album. They have a pretty big and good catolog of music 🎶. I have seen them 18 times and have the tickets to prove it. Peace Out
In certain ways, better. Malcolm Young either wasn't able, or didn't dare, to write a song like "Screaming in the Night", for example. But a song like this, yeah, AC/DC basically already did it a million times, in the Scott and Johnson eras both.
I can remember rocking out to them back in the 80's & never noticed it, but yeah I can hear the Bond Scott similarity. But, can he rock a bag pipe like Bon Scott could?
I like Krokus but please don't EVER compare this band to one of the GOATS of all time in ACDC!! Just look at both bands longevity and that shows who's the best!!!
I think Krokus got a bad deal - maybe because they were Swiss? Or appealed mostly to guys?. They were early for the hair metal, and a little late for the glam rock scene .... But they were arguably better than AC/DC, and probably better than Sweet. They put out about 20 albums, but just couldn't manage to get catchy big hit.
Nice reaction brother but the song Fire by Krokus is 🔥🔥🔥 and some say the guitar solo could be the best EVER so if you could slip it in would be much appreciated and also put them on the map of a lot of your viewers.Keep up the good work!!!

Mine thoughts exactly! Great band!! They even come back just recent!
Actually, they both are singing like Dan McCafferty from Nazareth. He was the OG for this vocal style. So yeah, dive into more Nazareth!!!!
I've heard this song a million times before the age of 20, and haven't heard it until now at 53-years since then, and YOU'RE RIGHT! And I never thought about it back then, but his voice DOES SOUND like Bon!!!
Dude, thank you FOR THAT!!!
🤘🤘🤘
Hey T check out Rhino Bucket if you want to hear Bon era AC/DC
Marc Storace; Krokus' singer, was actually offered to audition for AC/DC after Bon died. He turned it down to concentrate on Krokus.
Great! This was recorded live in 1983 in Dortmund (Germany). Best rockin‘ regards from the Country of Krokus (Switzerland, Central Europe) 🤟😆🎸🎤🎸🎤
Tony Platt who engineered Back in Black and Highway to Hell for AC/DC produced this album. Its no coincidence it sounds like AC/DC. I saw that same tour in Alpine Valley, WI and they were awful.
Same tour 7/5/1983 Dayton's Hara Arena. All 3 were awesome.

🤘🤘🤘
Or RONNIE JAMES DIO !
Same as you I never noticed it as a kid. Probably because my intro to Krokus was their cover of "Ballroom Blitz".
They were a solid band in the day and still holds up good today.
I worked for them for 3-4 years as their lighting director. As a matter of fact I lit this show. Great band. Fernando Von Arb is/was a totally underrated guitarist.
Saw Them Everytime They Were Here In Detroit Agreed Fernando Is Killer
Krokus are such underated band they rock loved them growing up metal rendevous album my fav
Tasty guitar player.
Tokyo Nights
Midnight Maniac, Our Love, Ballroom Blitz, Tokyo Nights, Heatstrokes, many great Krokus songs 🤘
As far as I know when Bon Scott died, the singer from Krokus was on the list of singers that applied to replace Scott

Little known fact. He was a front runner for the lead singer spot for AC/DC..
Their cover of Ball Room Blitz is the best version hands down.
Saw them several times in the 80s and early 90s. One of my Top Hard Rock/Metal Bands. They are stil in heavy rotation in my Playlist.
Krokus' singer, Marc Storace, was offered the AC/DC gig after Bon Scott died. He turned the gig down.
It's KROKUS Boys and Girls....... TOTALLY An UNDERATED UA-cam band...
Stayed Awake All Night and Bedside Radio are pretty good too. When Long Stick came out on the radio, I thought it was AC/DC.
I can't say I'm a Krokus fan but I just heard their song OUR LOVE that has me intrigued about the band now
I love that song!
Funny thing about the singer, the older he gets, the more he sounds like Bon Scott! Saw them 2 weeks ago, still freakin craazy!
I saw them on the One Vice at a Time tour in '82 in a small historic movie theater in Corpus Christi, TX. Then I saw them the following year on the Headhunter tour in McAllen, TX. What a great live band. Looks like they are currently touring. Check out their website for tour dates!
Stayed Awake All Night and Headhunter are two awesome songs from these guys.
I think he turned down AC/DC, to stay with his own band
@@tednapoleon7248 sounded too much like Bon. That was a wise move.
BTOs Randy Bachman wrote SAAN. Great tune from amazing songwriter! Well done boys!
Saw Krokus multiple times in early 80s they rock! They do sound like ACDC is very true. That's where comparison ends for me. Malcolm and Angus have created some of the greatest riffs in rock history...they could fill out a full setlist if songs everyone in the world knows. Marc Storace was asked to join Ac/Dc after bon Scott died. Headhunter is a GREAT album
Love KROKUS! I got to see them back in their heyday.
Love it! Great reaction T. Shout out to Brad for the recommendation. Yeah I do love me some Krokus!
And so glad to hear you're still loving Screaming In The Night! One of my fav songs of all time. Keep rockin', T!!!
Thanks for putting me on to them. They are a new favorite.
I was lucky enough to see them three times in the eightys. They always put on a great show, excellent sound.
Stayed Awake All Night!
Stayed Awake All Night!
Stayed Awake All Night!
Stayed Awake All Night!
Every time someone thinks they sound like ACDC don't make it sound like a bad thing but they're not ACDC they're Krokus and they sound phenomenal❤
Krokus was hugely underappreciated
Great Value AC/DC!
The Lyrics To This Are Fantastic Plus Storace`s Vox Are Killer!!
Oh yes the old boner song they ought to use that for like a Cialis or Viagra commercial or some other kind of ED sometime 🤣🤣
Great band!!!
If you like Bon Scott check out the Sensational Alex Harvey Band. Bon Scott pretty much took his schtick from Alex Harvey. AC/DC’s song Jailbreak has a lot of similarities to Framed by the Sensational Alex Harvey Band.

If you want to hear band that sounds like Bon era AC/DC check out Rhino Bucket .
Absolutely RIDE THE RHINO 🤘
Great Reaction
Great Song
If you get a chance check out the Studio Version. You Will play that once a week also. Listen with your eyes closed. Bon Scott & AC/DC will come to mind
First time i heard this song was about 2 am on a radio station and thought it was acdc but found out it was krokus loved it went out and bought the album
Krokus took ACDC to a more metal plane .
This guy could have been the replacement for Bon Scott for AC/DC. I always thought he had a mixture of Bon Scott and Brian Johnson in his voice.
Thanks for reacting to an overlooked band. I saw them in the early 80's opening for Saxon.
Headhunter, love the drums.
That guy sounds just like Marc Storace! 😛
Seriously, I don't think Marc sounds like Bon, except on a very superficial level. Udo Dirkschneider from Accept sounds a little more like Bon than Marc does, imo, but still sounds more like Udo than Bon. They are all unique, *especially* Bon, and I would never mistake one for another.
Krokus is phenomenal. I was probably 14 when I found their album Headhunter in the bargain bin. Wow! Talk about getting a kid hooked on metal.
Excelente vídeo!
Parabéns e obrigado!
Sounds a lot like Bon Scott. I wonder, can he play the bagpipes? . . . . .
Rudy Schenker of the Scorpions said Krokus sounded like The Scorpions until realized they could make more money sounding like AC/DC.
Fun Fact: Vocalist Marc Storace was asked to replace Bon Scott in AC/DC, he said no. Krokus was called the fake AC/DC for years after that, they never even did an AC/DC cover because of it, and they covered a lot of bands. Midnight Maniac another cool Krokus song. Check out Rose Tattoo “Scarred for Life” in the same vein as these guys and AC/DC
☠☠☠YO T.!! YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT SOME OF THEIR HEAVY STUFF LIKE ( HEAD HUNTER )☠☠☠
Back in the day, the local rock station played them fairly often. Try their version of : Eat the Rich!
You wouldn't believe the hoops and jumps I had to go through to find this album in a store when it came out in the 80's. Very obscure at first.
Man, seeing this...
so awesome, back in the days!
Hell of a show in the 80s
I graduated in 1984, typical 80's rocker. Krokus was okay but I never thought about the comparison before I can hear the similarities for sure!
If you want to check out a band that sounds like AC/DC check out the band Airborne. And they are also from Australia.
Great band !! You should listen to "Stay awake all night" I know you will love it.
Their best!
THANK YOU!!!!
No offense to Bon Scott ( loved him ) but Storace is a far better vocalist. When I first heard these guys and tried to explain them to my band mates...I said...Imagine Bon Scott with more range and soul singing songs that are similar to Def Leppard.
Does sound like Ac/Dc.
I remember first time I heard these guys they were singing Ballroom Blitz. They jam. Hope you’re having a good weekend, T
Mr. T, that thumbnail was designed to spark engagement. So, here it is: There's no Krokus without AC/DC 🤬
LOL, hahahahahahahahahah
Listen to the studio version Storace hits some unreal notes. I think they may be tuned down a step live.
I think you should check out their song “Bad Boys Rag Dolls”
The whole Headhunter album kicks ass . Metal Rendezvous also a good album. They have a pretty big and good catolog of music 🎶. I have seen them 18 times and have the tickets to prove it. Peace Out
'Конечно, голос был вроде как у Флинта. И всё-же он был похож на другой.. Скорее это голос...
Клянусь дьяволом, это голос Бена Гана!..'(с)
A lot of those guys in the eighties had that sound similar to Bon Scott....not just Storace...check out Tommy Keifer of Cinderella
In certain ways, better. Malcolm Young either wasn't able, or didn't dare, to write a song like "Screaming in the Night", for example. But a song like this, yeah, AC/DC basically already did it a million times, in the Scott and Johnson eras both.
Bon Scott similarity.... except Angus' riffs
I can remember rocking out to them back in the 80's & never noticed it, but yeah I can hear the Bond Scott similarity. But, can he rock a bag pipe like Bon Scott could?
Krokus ISN'T in the same neighborhood as the Lads from Down under. Krokus csm only dream to be the Greatest Rock Band ever Amen!!
Russian winter and nightwolf are pretty rockin
Very cool band. I think you should check out Headhunter next. Keep up the good work T.
Check out "Winnin' Man"...great song !
Like I said in another video I thought Bon Scott faked his death and then started the band Krokus LOL
Old shit is better! I think the comparison to Bon Scott is fair.
T check out their track Headhunter. The blast beats are fire. Didn't hear a lot of that in early to middle 80s
I like Krokus but please don't EVER compare this band to one of the GOATS of all time in ACDC!! Just look at both bands longevity and that shows who's the best!!!
man you have to check out the song head hunter or stay away all night, good jams from krokus
Please Check out their earlier stuff, that 70's vibe...
He was tapped to replace bon scott but turned it down.
M8, it is time for EAT THE RICH, OUR LOVE.
Now do their song „Bedside radio“! You‘ll love it
Dude I totally agree it's like a better ACDC on this album at the time this is what I cut my guitar teeth on
So hear „ Amerikan Woman“
Great one
Stick with the Headhunter album. It doesn't get any better than that. Great f'n album start to finish!
You should do a full album reaction.
Eat the rich. Listen to that one. Killer
Not even close to being better than AC/DC, but Krokus is a good band!
Check out the Accept song Fast as a Shark. Its a KILLER!
Krokus just reminds me o Aqua Teen Hunger Force's greatest character, Carl
You should check out their cover of "Ballroom Blitz"
I think Krokus got a bad deal - maybe because they were Swiss? Or appealed mostly to guys?. They were early for the hair metal, and a little late for the glam rock scene .... But they were arguably better than AC/DC, and probably better than Sweet. They put out about 20 albums, but just couldn't manage to get catchy big hit.
boys nite out
React to the whole Headhunter Album by Krokus!
Nice reaction brother but the song Fire by Krokus is 🔥🔥🔥 and some say the guitar solo could be the best EVER so if you could slip it in would be much appreciated and also put them on the map of a lot of your viewers.Keep up the good work!!!
Yes the guitar solo in „Fire“ IS THE BEST EVER played by Tommy Kiefer (+1986). Best rockin‘ regards from the home country of Krokus 🎸🎸🎸
I remember in the day on radio always thought it was acdc
Krokus better than acdc? Hell no.
These guys are awesome check out to the top
I think the one from 2000 or so is better. Nice reaction
