He is America’s greatest hero n will never be forgotten. His grave at Arlington is the second most visited. President Kennedy is first. Another great American hero. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
From an Irish Man what a story you could see the Love they had for Audie may he rest in Peace in the words of Thomas Davis (Young Irelander) “Be my epitaph writ on my country’s mind, ‘He served his country and loved his kind’.” Thomas Davis (1814-1845)
God does move in mysterious ways, how many people to day could live through this, and come out the other side with such grace, Its sad that this video doesnt have anymore views that this, people have so much today they take it for granted.
I have like many Americans have been a big big fan of John Wayne not just as a actor ,but his iconic values that showed us what Americans are made of to the world . Humble , proud, honest, God fearing , all these are summed up in one name Audie L. Murphy I just know Duke ,all 6' 4" would humbly bow to this 5'4" Gaint. Thanks to all our vetren heroes. God bless U.S.A.!!!
That was very moving! To think of all he went through as a very young lad doing what he could in such deep poverty to care for his family. His actions from then throughout his life showed what really was inside of this man and that his courage to do what needed to be done was unmatched you could say. It sure seems as though the Good Lord put Audie where he was needed! How could you not respect and love such an honorable and humble man like Audie Murphy! Never forgotten! Hand salute from an old U.S. Marine!
Back in 2013 I went to Arlington National Cemetery to put a poinsettia and wreath on Audie Murphy's gravesite. I live in Annapolis, MD and the trip isn't far to the cemetery. I searched out Nadine online and called her on the phone to introduce myself and tell her what I had done for her brother. Audie is my favorite hero of WWII and I wanted to honor him for that particular Christmas season. I visited with Nadine for quite a while on the phone and enjoyed spending time with her. I am so happy to see that she is still alive and to hear her voice once more. Thank you for this video so much.
The truth of the matter is there was many young men like Audie, who fought with great courage but never made it home. Men who died before they even had a chance to fight back. The stories of heroism are countless. They all make us proud to be Americans.
A youngster he's been my hero then he's still my hero now God bless you Audie Leon Murphy and God bless the Murphy families, and all the families who fought and died God bless all of the American soilders they are truly heroes thank you God bless
He was a hero to his family first - and America second. He was a real man, back in the days when men knew what honor and duty really meant. Don't get me wrong. I believe our soldiers are tough as nails, and I won't hear anyone telling me different! But Audie Murphy and soldiers of his generation were tougher. They did not have these modern tools our men rely on every day. Everything soldiers did back then was 100% flesh and blood solid resolve, And yet, I'm 100% sure if they had been offered the technology back then, they'd of loved it.

i still have a crush on him. his movies come on and i want my kids to know about him, i have seen them multiple times and cant stop watching them again.
My feelings exactly. I've loved Audie Murphy since I was 10 years old and now tell my children about him. We should never forget this extraordinary man and his fine character and courage that made him a true American hero. Thank you Major Audie L. Murphy for your outstanding service to your country. We may never see the likes of you again.
Who could the25 idiots be ,that gave this video a thumbs down ??What she didn’t mention was Audie would chop wood , pickup soda bottles , do anything to get ammunition for his .22 rifle so he could shoot something for the family to eat , he knew a missed shot was a missed meal. He could not stand the look on his siblings face when he came with nothing. He learned to NEVER miss.
This brought tears to my eyes I grew up in poverty and in awful children's homes in Ireland. I knew Audie Murphy was a hero and had a tough upbringing but I'd never heard his sister interviewed before God bless Audie Murphy and his sister ❤

I was even enthralled and watch all his movies when they would televise them. My dad would tell me that he was a true hero. What a wonderful man. We need so many more like him.
I have always admired Audie Murphy more than any of the other so called 'movie stars'. I am so glad that the power that be in Hollywood gave Audie Murphy a career as a movie star. After all Audie did in the U. S. Army he deserved it. In later life Audie had a lot of bad breaks and a mental problem with depression because of the sad memories of his Army . And unfortunatly he died in a plane crash of all things. What a horrible break for one who has done so much good. Life is strange. God bless his memory and spirit and soul. And I loved the way his sister talked here. She still must miss him deeply after all of these years.
A beautiful man..inside & out..w/a heart as big as Texas. What a Blessing 2 his family..& 2 all of us. My dad served in WW2 the same years as Audie..so proud of them both 🙂🙂❤❤
So touching hearing this praise from his sister and the love she feels for him throughout his ups and downs and how he was committed to them through a promise in bettering their lives.
Audie Murphy is a Texas legend and American hero, and my favorite hero, I love how even despite his struggles and fame he remained a kind and humble man. When I was in college, I had to give an informative speech on Audie Murphy. I was a little saddened to see that most of the class had no idea who he was, but after the speech some of the students were amazed at his actions during and after the war. He is an inspiration to me and hopefully many other Americans.

I finally got to go on a trip to Washington, D.C., and my first stop was at Arlington National Cemetery and the tour bus stopped right beside Audie Murphy's grave and I was the only one on the bus to go over and give my respect. It is too bad the younger generation is not taught in the schools, colleges or universities what our forefathers, and heroes like Audie Murphy or my own father (WWII) and grandfather (WWI), went through to make and keep them free. Those who are destroying our country as I write this have not been taught how precious freedom is and how easily they can lose it forever.
When I see something like this and then people who have no idea or don’t care what men like this endured for their families and their country, well I just can’t comprehend ... God bless our veterans, soldiers and their families.God bless the USA. And thank you.
May he never be forgotten. May his courage, selflessness, and sacrifices inspire an entire new generation of young people. Thank you for uploading this.
Audie Murphy is my favorite Star of ALL. He was so much more than a star and I was so glad to hear this bc I just knew Audie was a genuine country boy and humble at heart.. It Showed In All He Did.. they don't come like him much any more and when you find one they are far and few between to find.... I still got to see his movie to hell am back... I bet he was a friend for life... Audie Was A Real Keeper...
Your family was so blessed to have such a wonderful brother. Even though I never met him, his kind heart always shown thru in his acting. A kind and gentle soul. God bless you and your family.
This is one sad story with a gloriously happy ending. They really don't make em like that anymore..stoic..tough..integrity..humble and strong let alone self reliant..can one imagine that happening today..and it does..but kids are put in horrible foster care. I believe orphanages were better..you still had abuse but the kids outnumbered the abusers..foster care is a sick system..except for a very few good ones..most are sex trafficked/abused. Audie didn't come out unscathed from the war..sadly he suffered severe insomnia n nighmares. He had that handsome smiling face..but years later it took its toll. A great man! I can't say enough! And just to rant today..look at the thugs n unpatriotic brats running around breaking stealing setting fires ruining great monuments. We have shameful blm and antifa..both are terrorists groups..left liberal socialists! No, they don't make any Audie Murphy's anymore. Thank GOD for our patriots and navy seals green berets marines army and airforce..Im sure a lot of them had hard upbringings...but Audie was born during the depression! GOD Bless his name! Ty for posting this!
Beautiful people named Murphy! Family lived right next to The Cherrokee Indian Reservation in Okla !My wife's Grandma knew the family !Audy was so grown up for his age! Shy around girls ! He never took any thing that he couldn't pay for! The custom of the Cherrokee is if some one gives you a gift ! You give him one in return! Audy would tell a friend to wait awhile! Then he worked to get you a gift! Would come back and let you and him exchange gifts! See he was very honorable befor the Military Hitch!every person who ever met him! Was impressed by this littel guy! Just his ways would draw You to him! Later moved to Texas all family moved in with his Aunt and Uncle and their kids! Huge love through out his family! Highest Decorated Soldiers ever born to this free world! 🇺🇸🌟💖🙏☝️👍we all miss you !💕
I wonder...if his father hadn't deserted them and left them hungry and alone, the young ones to an orphanage, etc... would Audie have been able to do what he did. Who knows how many lives he saved, how many generations from those lives are here today because of him. I'm amazed there is no bitterness when she speaks of her dad, no judgment. Thank you for the video.
He was a good actor and a great human being rest in peace I'm glad I got to see all of his movies I watch him today and realize he could do everything in that movie he was great
When I was a kid, me and my brothers were huge fans of Audie Murphy, I remember in the movie "Night Passage" when he got killed at the end, when we were walking home, I started crying, even though I knew that it was just a movie, it was Audie Murphy, peace be with you Mr. Murphy, you were one of my childhood heroes, and you still are🥰
I don’t know why there’s never been “another” movie about Audie Murphy’s life. Here, during the 21st century, the movie industries want to make movies about US hero’s...and they always miss the opportunity about Europe’s most decorated WWII hero: Audie Murphy. I think he was a Medal of Honor recipient as well. He came out of WWII and made something good of his life. Sad he died so young.
Such a moving tribute that left me teary-eyed. Thank YOU Audie for everything that you’ve done for our country, sir. You will never ever be forgotten in the hearts of many 💓 *salutes you*
She has every reason to be proud. Her brother was one of the finest men who ever lived. The late Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington once said, "Show me a hero, and I'll prove to you he's a bum." Audie Leon Murphy was the exception to that rule. They say you should never meet your heroes, lest you find that they have feet of clay. I surely wish I'd had the opportunity to meet Murph, I was only 8 when his life tragically ended far too soon.
You brother is hero and always will be Audie Murphy will never be forgotten by us soldier of us army today he and my grandfather ww2 vet will always be my hero
That young man was a true hero in every way. He was a true hero not only to his country but also to his family

He was a giant of a great man. ❤
A real American Hero
Being a native Texan Audie has been a hero to me for my 74 years. He was not a perfect person but he was close to it. Rest In Peace Audie.
Audie Murphy is my favorite Star of ALL.
He was so much more than a star and I was so glad to hear this bc I just knew Audie was a genuine country boy and humble
at heart.. It Showed In All He Did..
they don't come like him much any more
and when you find one they are far and
few between to find.... I still got to see his
movie to hell am back...
I bet he was a friend for life...
Audie Was A Real Keeper...
With great pride, according to our family genealogy, we are related. Thank you for telling the story, it is extraordinary and I am grateful.
Girls realy thought he
Was cute But smaller than the boys his age!
He would ride his big horse to the Indian Reservation to. By staples for his mom! At the Trading Post there! Always friendly
Respectful to all ! He felt bad after he had to kill a rabbit for the
Family Supper! He had a boy from the
Reservation ! That he fished and hunted with! Just his ways would draw

A great man, a man of his word, God bless him.
Simply said, True American Hero
I wonder...if his father hadn't deserted them and left them hungry and alone, the young ones to an orphanage, etc... would Audie have been able to do what he did. Who knows how many lives he saved, how many generations from those lives are here today because of him. I'm amazed there is no bitterness when she speaks of her dad, no judgment. Thank you for the video.
He was a good actor and a great human being rest in peace I'm glad I got to see all of his movies I watch him today and realize he could do everything in that movie he was great
Gosh, what a heroic gentleman, motivated by love and care for his siblings.
When I was a kid, me and my brothers were huge fans of Audie Murphy, I remember in the movie "Night Passage" when he got killed at the end, when we were walking home, I started crying, even though I knew that it was just a movie, it was Audie Murphy, peace be with you Mr. Murphy, you were one of my childhood heroes, and you still are🥰
Thank you for sharing this. a great American hero.
What a guy ! Just a great human being. One of the absolute greatest. Period.
The late Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington once said, "Show me a hero, and I'll prove to you he's a bum."
Audie Leon Murphy was the exception to that rule.
I remember watching Audie Murphy's movies with my Grampa growing up, i still watch them when there on.
A true man, always loved his movies
