While vacationing in Kitzbühel I climbed into the start gate.. It is UNBELIEVABLY STEEP!! Two pushes and you're in a 90˚ right-hand turn immediately going into a sweeping 180˚ left turn. And that's just the first 10 seconds..!!

The Bell brothers - The Commonwealth’s pride and joy while Die Streif didnt happen with ugly blue stripes to increase vision of pitch profile. When no compromizes were done to jumps, to the Zielschuss, snowfall etc etc. It has parallells to car racing. Formula 1 and Sports Car Group C meant smth else back in the day. The Kitzbuhel Ski Club in 1931! Can you imagine going down this course in that era? *No machine grooming - some parts were basically mogul fields *Skis with no edges *No Medivac
