Good video, glad I'm not the only one this happen to. mine was burnt pretty bad. couldn't salvage the pigtail pin. Any idea on a part number for a pigtail pin to attach to the wire?
I had the same issue and I was getting frustrated 😂 so I used pliers and twist and pulled. The plastic is melted in there so you will need to use force, preferably a tool would work better than your own hands. Just be careful.
@deadpool _F150 on my f350 its the green wires that are a little melted not the black like yours, im trying to find a fuse because i changed the box, it didnt fix it, and even though the wires are a little burnt looking they are still pretty solid. i can only find a fuse for the rear seat, not the front
Hey I’m having the same issue. Looking into how to pop that ground pin out and move it over to the next slot. I really don’t want to cut the wire. Have you fixed yet?
Use like a thin/jewellers forcep to push down the metal spring that 'locks' the metal end. Once you've done that you'd be able to pull the wire off. Then just pop it on the next slot.👌 see the empty spot on how that metal tab works
My black plug on the module would not come un plugged as it was melted to the module. My fix was to remove the back cover off the module and solder a wire to the back of the board on the corresponding ground pin, I then tapped the wire into the ground wire.
2015 F150. Great video! The same wire on mine was cooked. Fixed the wire and back in action. Thanks!
New update vid for this! 3-4-23

One of the pins on the main wiring harness is burned up. Anyone know what the part number is to fix it?
Where can I get the pin to relocate that wire into the next slot. You can’t just put the piece of wire in there

Mine only doesn't work on the driver side bottom. All others work.
How do you disconnect the plug? I been struggling to unplug it for the past hour!!
Dude same, how did you get it out?

Maybe different wiring diagrams for you coz i don't have rear heated ones. I wish!
fusions of this year use the same one...
I have a 2015 f150. Does the module under the passenger seat control both the drivers side and passenger side? Or does each seat have its own module?
Both seats share the same SCME module under the passenger seat.
Check out the update on this, as I'm uploading it right now!!
Thanks! Do you know where to buy that conector?
how do you disconnect the wire and plug it into the next slot? Just cut it off, strip it and shove it in there??

Great video! This is exactly what happened to mine.
Tnx! Trying to help out pips here before splurging into buying a new pigtail harness
Doesnt work on a 2018. No module under seat.
That's not a permanent solution. The exact same thing will happen again. There should be an updated Ford part to correct this.

How do you unplug the large black connector that you moved the ground on? Mine won't budge!
Depress the black locking tab underneath, and wiggle it side to side till it comes off. Good luck!
17-18 and up done use that module. They use one module under the drivers seat.
Great to know. Tnx!
X2 on the pigtail part number
