I got this as a gift along with the A6600. I was thinking of selling it off because I have too many mini tripods but I think you convinced me to keep it.
Fun video, you have a great youtuber personality and a great sense of pace, articulation, voice intonation, etc. :). Since I travel internationally and have the Sony a6600 it would be wonderful to have such a small device that created true gimbal quality. Still, this is a nice device. May be worth going to a camera store and trying it out.
Thanks. We didn’t have it long enough to exhaust the battery but from what we understand battery life is good. In regards to the batteries, they are watch style batteries so don’t think there are rechargeable options. However they are quite inexpensive
That was a really freaking great video. A highly informative hands on honesty opinion of the new Sony grip. I really appreciatte this video! Keep crushing it have a great day ☕📸
Your very welcome also you have a great personality on camera I love how you just walk through the supermarket with everyone asking you questions and you just own it and are so chilled because it is something you are passion about I can really tell. More people should be like you when it come to that 📸👍have inspired me to do more vlogs style, need to pick up that grip soon for my sony
@@TECH360TV yeah sure. I totally agree about wishing the Sonys had a flip screen aka you can see yourself. I had that same issue when trying to get good framing. Also your cameraman is really good always picking up the right shots. As you as maybe tell I am a cameraman and passionate about content creation and videos. I often film for other UA-camrs here in london so I love seeing someone out about about like this raw style it's such a natural way of shooting and remind me and being put in similar situations
If they had made the remote control part removable so you can step back and trigger the camera when out of arm’s reach, then pop the remote back onto the grip (canon has a similar remote grip that is designed this way) then I would’ve bought this! Fingers crossed for next version.
The Tamron did a pretty good job actually! But the Shooting Grip is really...yeah not sure how to put it. This does not add any value as supposed to a Manfrotto mini tripod other than having a button in the palm of your hands to take a selfie or to press record. But I think this is more made for the Sony camera's with a flip out screen. What is the price of this actually? If the price is decent, around 60 USD/EUR then it might be something for someone...thanks again for the video!
It’s going for 139.99 USD. Yes a flip screen will be much better for this especially for vlogging, but have to say The Eye tracking worked well. Yeah the Tamron is a pretty decent lens. Review on the 24 and 35 f2.8 coming soon as well
Hi buddy thanks for review it was really nice and crisp you have change my mind now Initially I was looking for gorillapod 3k pro then I decided for switchpod and after watching your video now realised Sony handgrip will be worth for Sony a7iii . What do you suggest brother howz over all experience I do same vlog exactly what you did food vlogs waiting in restaurant and talking on camera about food and a bit travel .. What do I say incan only buy once cant spend again n again on these accessories as I want to save some for lens too so one time investment please help
Jesus, thank you so much for your video, now I know how to turn on the grip after the first pairing, it's very tricky! Loll, i even contacted the sony customer service, they told me I have to re-pair the grip and the camera everythime.... Hahaha
TECH360.TV i see! But it looks no stabilized at all, was it on!? The Nikon Z7 looks better in stabilizing ! I have booth, when are you reviewing the a7r4? Ur reviews are nice, keep it up! By the way nobody has this tripod to sell?
What do u suggest sir Sony shooting Grip or Joby gorillapod for vlogging I have Sony a7iii with 28-70mm kit lens .... I am confused ...I do travel and food vlogs ...would love to hear from you what do u suggest..I am frequent traveler
Hi, I hope your help, how can I connect gp-vpt2bt in my A73 camera. when i want to connect it tells me to enter with the play memories app, after entering and configuring everything it still doesn't work ...
does face af still work in video mode when paired to this? i am on the a7iii and can't get it to stay enabled when hooked up to the controls on my gimbal or the sony smartphone app.
@@TECH360TV We need a Panasonic IBIS with Sony AF, Fuji APSC sensor and colors in a Canon M50 body with F mount lenses. And much better smart phone like user interface and app & cloud integration . My perfect camera.....
This grip is useless. I bought it with Sony a7c and i am already find it as a waste of money. It can only allow to turn on or off recording or taking a photo. You cannot even change any settings through it. It is just like very expensive useless small tripod and grip in one.
Good review. No stabilization and no rechargeable battery is a hard pass from me. Also, TIL 24mm is not wide enough for vlogging at arm's length.
Just ordered this from Amazon, thanks for the review.
No prob. Enjoy the grip

Thank you Paul for the kind words. Yes it a great travel companion and will compliment the a6600 very well.
Thanks, Dude! You're great!
Great review. Planning on buying it. Just have questions about battery life. How long will the batteries last? Can I use rechargeable batteries?

I think they heard you about the flip out screen. Unfortunately they came to the Sony ZV-1 Sony ZV- E10 and maybe the new Sony cenima camera.
How well does the grip handle with a heavy camera setup? Is there any wobbly of some sorts?
Not wobbly at all. Very sturdy

This camera seems terrible for moves, its shaking like crazy! No stabilization at all ?
It’s a handheld grip. IBIS in Sony cameras are decent but not gimbal smooth
TECH360.TV i see! But it looks no stabilized at all, was it on!? The Nikon Z7 looks better in stabilizing ! I have booth, when are you reviewing the a7r4? Ur reviews are nice, keep it up! By the way nobody has this tripod to sell?
Yes it was on. Sony’s IBIS isn’t as good as others on the market.
Tripod was just announced to the public last night
Could this replace your gimbal?? Why ask that? This is just a grip...not even close!
For some they use a small gimbal for the functionality this grip presents to the user, hence why the titled is worded as such
Are cameras like Sony A7 III or IV not too heavy for this grip?
Great video , doest it fits and work with a6500?
Thanks. From the info I have it’s compatible with a6100, a6400, a6600, a7III, a7RIII, a7RIV, a9, a9II, RX100VII, RX0II

Hmm depends. The gorilla pod you position it in more ways and be creative with it. The shooting grip is one way only
@@TECH360TV thanks for reply unwilling be going for the grip now for sure I m not so creative and need to make instant vlog
Since it’s Bluetooth do you think this would work with a canon camera that allows you to connect a Bluetooth remote?
No. Only compatible with selective Sony cameras.
STILL, it looks very weird watching people talking to a camera biside the table ...haha .
😂
How is all good when it's so bumpy?
Because it’s easy to use.
Sony and the naming of their devices 😂😂😂
Haha It’s true though!

Hi huaxtek how are you finding it this grip now with Sony a7iii even I own the same with kit lens
so it does not stabilize your video :(
No it doesn’t. It’s just a handgrip/ mini tripod that has Bluetooth controls
How do you pair it?
It’s a few steps to get it paired. Best to go onto the website
I saw him today 😄
Where at?
TECH360.TV Funan mall , he was doing a vlog
Yep we were filming this
TECH360.TV umm i know
Should get a camcorder. They have stabilizers. Dslrs are ass for vlogging
does face af still work in video mode when paired to this? i am on the a7iii and can't get it to stay enabled when hooked up to the controls on my gimbal or the sony smartphone app.
It won’t have an effect on face af. I was using that to keep myself in focus while walking
Hey thanks for your first impressions. Can this grip and the bluetooth mic work with the RX100 M6 ?
you need a wider lens, I can see inside of your nose hairs ur so close
Haha yes. I mentioned that in the video
It looks really shaky
IBIS in Sony cameras aren’t as good as other companies
alucino con el peso que llevas en la mano y esa posición, te tiene que gustar mucho hacer videos
Very very shaky when you walk.
Yes. Unfortunately Sony’s IBIS isn’t as good as others out there
