Sony Shooting Grip With Wireless Remote Commander (GP-VPT2BT)-Long Term Review, Part 3

Good day everyone and welcome to Part 3 of my "Three Popular Handheld Tripods For Your Cameras & Smartphones-Long Term Review". This final video will take a look at Sony’s controversial GP-VPT2BT Shooting Grip with Wireless Remote Commander. Released in 2020, many have felt it was too expensive for what it offered. Let’s take a look at how well it has done for the past three years for myself using it for vlogging and recording videos with my Sony cameras and smartphones!
I will also give my recommendation on which handheld tripod is the best for your Sony cameras and smartphones based upon my experience using them for the past three years. They also can be used with other cameras and smartphones, not just Sony(I’ve used them with Samsung flagship phones, iPhone and Xperia 1iii.)

Hi everyone! Here's some additional tips for the Sony Shooting Grip:
1. Use Sony recommended or high quality CR2032 battery. I've used cheap ones and their quality is inconsistent. Sometimes I only get about 1-2 hours using them. With original or high quality ones, they have lasted 4-6 months.
2. The smartphone holders I used in this video are the Ulanzi ST-01 Phone Tripod Mount and Small Rig Multifunctional Smartphone Holder. Ulanzi's mount offers a low profile, is very durable and affordable. Small Rig's mount is taller (more height for sit down vlogs) and can rotate between horizontal and vertical shots. However it's not sturdy and the bracket holding the mount bends easily when its not supposed too. Also it's expensive for what it offers and is more hype than function. Small Rigs makes excellent camera cages but their accessories tend to be overpriced and of low quality.
3. To keep it clean, I use dish soap diluted in water or rubbing alcohol diluted in water (60/40). They haven't faded the finish on the shooting grip and will get rid of most germs and viruses.
