I love how ezio went from
"Ugh who cares its leonardo di vinci big woop"
To
"Hey you talkin crap about my bff lets rumble"
Leonardo is *his* pet artist.
I became extremely depressed when I failed to hug Leonardo.
Omg same!! I was so angry
Replay and hug Leonardo
There's nothing more heartbreaking
If it makes you feel any better, in ACB he hugs him with no need of those sneaky QTEs. I felt bad at that part too lol.
OMG SAME
Can’t we just appreciate that Ezio was willing to have his finger hacked off without hesitation? Man’s a chad.
Also fun fact: In the novelisation of the game Ezio talks about how his fingers are still getting shredded as he learns to use the hidden blades. That’s why he wears a glove on one hand later on.
That's actually cool.
I bet the initial shock would numb the pain for a time but then be excruciating some time later.
The English Version is so funny, I can't believe Ezio's mother says "Besides vaginas". In French they translated it "besides women" haha
In the very sense of the word, a vagina is indeed an outlet.
In spanish she says it in italian which makes it more funny imo xdd
in italian it is "oltre la topa intendo"... topa is rat
@@AlessandroAltosoleChannel well, topa is literally rat, but also vagina or beautiful woman
That line is easily the crudest thing in all of AC and that’s why it’ll always get a laugh from me.
I love this character, he's sweet and very good guy, I love his friendship with Ezio
My favorite portrayal of Leonardo da Vinci in any media
Nope but it's also in AC embers
@@gluram cos'è per favore

Is anyone more absolutely in love with Leonardo?
Orlan y Mary Chaparro Salazar i do😂😂🙆
Great appreciation for him because of Art history
As soon as I saw that guard kick him in the beginning, I knew things were going to get stabby

One of the best bromances in gaming!
"Haha ! You found another one, How exciting !"
My favourite line of his. He's like a little kid 😂
The lead writer of the game once said he regretted not depiciting Leonardo's death and his goodbye to Ezio, who btw, was there when Leonardo passed.
Leonardo Da Vinci Was British 🇬🇧
This character would have never left the same mark on players if it was another voice actor. Whoever voiced him is incredible and it actually made you believe that's his actual voice.
Leonardo Da Vinci Was An Englishman 🏴
His voice actor portrayed Dom in Gears Of War.
Its dom
He's super nice! I met him at Comic Con not knowing who he was at first. Somebody came by with incredible Ezio cosplay and I got so excited and took a picture with them, he noticed and came over. He said that he voiced Leonardo and I basically freaked out. I asked him if i could record him talking as Leo and he said absolutely. Gave like a 15 sec vid, he said my name as Leo and everything! Then he mentioned that he loves meeting people who are passionate about the games.
After that a Comic Con employee kinda sternly gester at him, which I was confused by at first. He informed me that technically people were paying for him to speak as charcters but I got so excited he wanted to do Leonardo for me. He basically got in trouble for that, but for sure one of my all time favorite memories of a Comic con!
His name is Carlos Ferro btw!
Man, I miss a relationship like this in Unity or Syndicate. Alexander Graham Bell is the “DaVinci" of Syndicate, but Jacob and Evie treat him like a simple contact. No emotion. No ties. Too bad.
+sup3232
Haven't quite gotten to Syndicate yet but I had that same thought about Unity. Seemed like they wanted to cram in so many historical figures that they couldn't give them any real depth.
I miss getting excited when a characters icon pops up on the map, nothing compares to the excitement of seeing Leonardo’s “L” on the map in Brotherhood.
Yeah they also didn’t gave importance to napoleon also
I was hoping to see him as next Da Vinci in that game but sadly he wasn't.
this is a perfect example on how to create long lasting friendships you first start and work your way up to becoming loyal with each other
Damn Leonardo is so damn inventive. You can drop an iPhone blueprint off his porch and he'd have mass produced the damn thing by himself in the 1500s
Yea he’s gonna need the materials though, and most of them are advance crafts.
@@moonwolf8470 you think Leonardo da Vinci couldn't get that shit. He's literally the greatest inventor. The guy made blueprints for flying machines, guns and tanks in the 1500s.
@@akumasstorytime3910probably never built them tough. I doubt da Vinci could build an iPhone, but I bet he could grasp the basic idea and use the device pretty quickly.
@@TitusCastiglione1503 I don't think you understand how simple it is to make something from blueprints.
@@akumasstorytime3910 bruh even if he had the blueprints he couldn’t replicate the modern technology within.
Too bad in revelations they didn't have at least a mission where Leonardo and Ezio are back in Italy but then Ezio meets Leonardo's rival Michaelangelo
The 4 Heroes lol, but by that time leonardo was (i'm pretty sure)already dead
Thehyper 42 Michelangelo was jealous of Leonardo Da Vinci. They had an argument once, in which Da Vinci asked a passing Michelangelo to explain a passage from Dante. Michelangelo thought this was a trap and told Da Vinci to fuck off (paraphrased.) Da Vinci was embarrassed, like anyone would be, and that’s where it all started.
@@corvocorvus9982 the game was set in 1511 he died in 1519
In the novelization of the game, Ezio meets Leonardo a few times, and is besides him with Nicolo as well when he passed. Before the events of AC Embers.
@@paulmayson3129 What kind of novelization?
When Leonardo asks Ezio to buy the little puppet in the german Audio he sounds so freaking adorable my heart just melted
Other People: My ancestors were very rich and wealthy!
Desmond Miles: My ancestor was best bros with Leonardo Da'Vinchi.
To be fair, the Auditores were well-off
And Blackbeard and George Washington.

We're talking history, and Assassin's Creed is a look into the past, so....
I randomly borrowed this game from my brother a few years ago, it ended up being one of the best games I've played.
I feel ya my brother bought it for him and I touched when he wasn't watching it became one my faves
Flappy bird
14:25 i can never forget how Leonardo say "Aha, you found another one. how exciting"
Ezio's voice change when he tells Leonardo to hide
Yeah hahahahhaha
I thought it was Leonardo saying it for the longest time when I was a kid. I was like “why is he announcing that he’s going to hide” 😂
I literally restarted the memory when I failed to hug Leonardo I wanted to that badly
If only we could return the magic these characters had... Leonardo will always be one of my favourites!
People say Assassin's Creed peaked at Ezio but the truth is Assassin's Creed peaked at Leonardo Da Vinci.
When they first enter the new city after everything that’s happened: if you miss the interaction where you can hug him, his face falls and it’s so heartbreaking. This bromance is strong! lol
2:43 Ezio's face is like "wtf are you talking about"
Ajhahahahah
"Mi Familia just got executed and you're pranking me to think I need to cut off a finger?"
"The sun goes around the earth"
I completely forgot the AC II is set up before Galileo proved that wrong. One of the most interesting game
Eh, Galileo didn’t really prove that wrong; he simply championed Copernicus’ ideas in his own age, against the accepted scientific standards of his time. Galileo’s views were only shown to be on the right track some time later, I believe.

"How exciting" 😂
23:11 I like how The Apple spotlighted the knowledge of airplanes and tanks when Da Vinci decides to see what knowledge is emitted by The Apple, like it knows whoever The Apple is with. You could clearly see the form of what looks like a C130, and Da Vinci made a flight machine, and the modern Main Battle Tank when Da Vinci made his concept of some sort of moving armor.
I wonder if that was where Da Vinci got the idea?
best line ever: the sun around the earth
Pre-scientific beliefs claimed that the Sun revolved around the Earth. Clearly Leonardo knows better than Mario but he tried correcting Leonardo anyway because he doesn't know any better.
Leonardo's voice is so bouncy and quick paced. Does anyone know if his talking style and personality were like this irl?
I think its a characterisation choice because he was so frantic and all over the place. No one really knows how he spoke for sure.
I think its a characterisation choice because he was so frantic and all over the place. No one really knows how he spoke for sure.
If you read his journals ( the translations at least ) he spoke very formal and was all over the place. Possibly not like this but I love it
You think the English voice it's bouncy and quick paced? You haven't heard the German one then. It's even more jolly - German Leo is a real chatterbox, so's the Italian version (he talks so quick I can't even make out every single word he speaks). XD
Well, despite being an absolute genius he was also ADHD riddled. You can see this in his journal entries and in the plethora of unfinished works he accumulated in his lifetime. Nobody can know for sure what he was like (at least as far as I know), but it's not unreasonable to expect that he was a very hyperactive perhaps irreverent person.
This is an excellent depiction of da Vinci.
when you find out Leonardo is the same voice as dom in gears of war
Holy shit at first I was like nahhh but you're RIGHT
*Leonardo inspecting blade and talking shit about it*
Ezio: “Hmm yes how interesting.”
Also Ezio in the back of his mind: “I don’t care just build me stuff.”
Ezio is definitely not as clever as Leonardo, but he was educated enough to get what's he talking about.
No wonder we don't know much about Da Vinci, the Creed made sure to keep his life secret.
Leonardo is honestly everything I want in a guy oof why am I ike this
i really liked Leonardo probably my number one character in the entire Ezio's story
Back when assassins creed was quality
10:48 AC II Leonardo: "Bravery is not my strong suit"
AC Brotherhood Leonardo: You can hurt me physically, but you can not hurt my mind.
Love how games make history come alive:)
It's great and awesome to see one of the best artist and inventor of the renaissance and the master of gadgets as well and fantastic ally of the Assassin's and finding out to make brilliant joke's to make us laugh!
15:54 "Antonio, this is Leonardo, the master inventor who built this.....this pezzo di merda (Piece of shit)".
Lmao how can you not love Ezio.
having Da Vinci in the game and how ubisoft handled his character was a great delight
Lol the guard talking with Vinci sounded like Jarl Balgruuf from Skyrim.
ITS HIM I LOOKED IT UP
9:37 Ezio really just used the power of his seductive gaze and Leonardo has done for.
This game showed us that this Legendary man was more than just a Painter
Leonardo Da Vinci Was Russian 🇷🇺
Ubisoft really made the player feel like Ezio was growing up with Leonardo over the course of decades between both games.
so cool to see historical figures in each Assassin Creed title.

when i saw this scene in game i felt like i am spending time with my best friend
In my humble opinion, Leonardo DaVinci was the greatest mind the human race ever produced. Or will ever produce.
What leads you to say that?
I would say Newton tbh. No matter what STEM field you are pursuing, Newton is unavoidable. He is there in almost every subject.
22:40 loved the sun around the earth vs the earth around the sun reference.

I wasn't insane at all, AC Valhalla did a freaking Retcon on how the Hidden Blade works Pre-Grandmaster Altair, Hidden Blades are supposed to require the Assassins to remove their ringfingers and are supposed to not work when worn backwards like what Eivor did!
That was one thing that bothered me the most. I get it was a symbol of him not commiting to the creed but when I saw it worked on his backhand it bothered me so much as it was told it only functions under the wrist and that the finger is sacrificed for the blade to go through. Valhalla in my opinion is a fun game but some things bothered me that just feels far off to what Assassin's Creed is supposed to be.
@@rw0dyxer012 yeah and whats funny about it is that isn't theres a Templar Agent with similar Hidden tool in Brotherhood? I think it was Il Lupo "The Wolf" with that Switchblade of his.

Ezio and the brotherhood: Say goodbye to your mama, papa and your entire bloodline
HAHA! YOU FOUND ANOTHER ONE, HOW EXCITING!
Good man, that Leonardo.
The knock on his door is so nostalgic
I feel like it would have been more appropriate to have most of the ideas come from Leonardo himself.
He is able to fix the blade by just studying the mechanism and from there, the poison, the gun etc all come from him. After all he was a botanist and an engeneer.
They kind of did his true genius dirty in AC2
Can we all agree Leonardo is Ezio best friend.
