Wonderful to see how far Bangladesh has come. Since partition of Bengal by the colonial rulers in 1905, about 120 years ago, a two state solution has been in place….ostensibly along religious lines… leading to a horrific largely undocumented famine/s, religious riots, partition, mass migration, natural disasters, an independence struggle….many within the last 50-60 years…yet the Bengali people have gone about their lives in a calm and dignified manner, without losing their humanity… whether it was those who suffered hunger, those who left their homes and fled due to partition (like my own family) and took refuge in inhospitable lands… or those who lay down their lives for their language and culture…. Just as Bangladeshis have shown great civility to the million + Rohingyas, Here too in this interview, MY shows the gentle magnanimous side of the Bengali bhadralok and reflects the true aspirations of the Bengali people. Makes me sad to see the plight of the other side of Bengal, which deserves more, yet remains under the cultural and potlical dominance of the northern and western ideologies prevalent in the Indian subcontinent.

Lol exactly, and exactly as many excuses for when he leads Bangladesh to economic and social collapse. Of course, he'll probably be appointed "professor emeritus" in some European country by then lol.
Just in the first month the caretaker government has exposed so much corruption from the previous Sheikh Hasina Awami League government. Previous government was giving previous government contracts based on families and family members of the people who were working for the previous government benefitting those who worked for the previous government. Then you had money being siphoned off from Bangladesh to abroad to other countries by the previous government channels and banking channels.
Just to be clear, Bangladeshi leftists students and islamists chose this guy, a Noble Peace Prize-winning, money lender, who was under US asylum, all because the previous one was an Indian agent?
First he wasn't under US asylum, he was in Bangladesh. Previous one was thrown out not because of close tie with India but the corruption, July killing, disappearance of her critic, collapse of banking system and economy and destruction of the pillars of democracy.
BDR, Shapla And July Massacre, three genocides have same perpetrator, Hasina who was backed by India :v let alone the extra judicial killings, disappearances, economic crimes :/ Also let me clear, no islamists or leftists have chosen him. HE WAS CHOSEN BY THE PEOPLE OF BANGLADESH, from secular or atheist to religious communities or political parties, he is accepted by all.
Bangladesh's political parties and the majority of its population are calling for comprehensive reforms across all administrative sectors before holding the next election.
I thought Bangladesh is productive, industrialized with good GDP. Now with the new leaders.. steering with revolutionaries in new direction is impossible to fathom any new development. Deepest sympathies to all people who are influenced to believing NEW is good. Doom is near.
How fluent and honest is he❤ when he is talking about current political disorder and its solution to find a better tomorrow that all of the people of Bangladesh seek except BAL
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who was ousted by a powerful student-led revolution, ruled Bangladesh with an authoritarian grip, silencing anyone who dared to speak against her. During her time in power, she destroyed the country’s institutions. She used them for her own political gain, with widespread corruption and money being taken out of the country for personal benefit. In contrast, Muhammad Yunus, now leading the interim government, speaks as a true leader, focused on rebuilding the nation. We hope that under his leadership, the constitution will be rewritten, and institutions strengthened so that no future party can act like another dictator, as Hasina did.

Very gentle speaker. Convincing. My best wishes to the people of Bangladesh

Not a word on the genocide of the Hindus in Bangladesh.
Interviewer didn't ask, why would he talk about an irrelevant topic? He answered what he was asked.
@@weprayforcars7 the interviewer was told not to bring the topic up and it's not an irrelevant topic but what else is expected from islameists and jeehadis.
because not a single incidence of a genocide has occurred...houses may be burned because of political issues not because they are hindu...dont get your news from godimedia...
Dr Yunus is a great man
What a dynamic human being !!
Bangladesh was growing 7% during a difficult time of world. Bangladesh will realise after a few years that Hasina wasnt that bad. Anyway, best wishes for Bangladesh.
It was nothing to do with common people of Bangladesh. People were starving. All the money were looted by Hasina's regime and put those money to different countries' bank.
Yeah, thats a problem for many countries. Almost all developing countries facing the same problem. Particularly in south asia, it is acute due to very high population density. But 7-8% continuous unequal growth for 1-2 decades, will change any country. Im just talking about economic perspectives, i have no idea about the law and order during the Hasina's rule (except yhe last few months).
Bangladesh grew only by 3% during the last two years.
I know India and Bangladesh has a bright future ahead under able leadership of Dr Yunus.

I hope this chance to establish a fair and constructive government will be handled capably and efficiently. Regards from Norway.
He will have million complaints against the previous administration .
Lol exactly, and exactly as many excuses for when he leads Bangladesh to economic and social collapse.
Of course, he'll probably be appointed "professor emeritus" in some European country by then lol.
That's what he is doing, blame game
Demorgratically elected govt can only has the right to change the constitution
Just in the first month the caretaker government has exposed so much corruption from the previous Sheikh Hasina Awami League government. Previous government was giving previous government contracts based on families and family members of the people who were working for the previous government benefitting those who worked for the previous government. Then you had money being siphoned off from Bangladesh to abroad to other countries by the previous government channels and banking channels.
Lol ok. Just remember, Yunus will say EXACTLY the same thing you did when he leads your country to social and economic collapse.
Guys this guy invented the idea of EMI if you don't know

Don’t forget aung sun suki of Myanmar. She was a noble peace prize winner. Look what’s going on in Myanmar now. Bangladesh is same cycle
Hope with his leadership democracy prevail and Bangladesh prosper more.
BDR, Shapla And July Massacre, three genocides have same perpetrator, Hasina who was backed by India :v let alone the extra judicial killings, disappearances, economic crimes :/
Also let me clear, no islamists or leftists have chosen him. HE WAS CHOSEN BY THE PEOPLE OF BANGLADESH, from secular or atheist to religious communities or political parties, he is accepted by all.
Bro who taught you that?
@@the_watcher_a didn't he fled to the US when his finance company was accused of micro-debt trapping villagers and confiscating their land?

Spoken like a true empathetic leader.
Grateful to have a man like Dr.Yunus after 16 years of Corruption.
Dr younus should keep in power about 5 years. He Is great leadership he will take Bangladesh for a greater future.
It is not possible to develop the country Hasina . We are suffering electricity problem after come Yunus and also security problem . People are not safe in Bangladesh in presence of Yunus . Hasina developed the country .
Oh, please - "students" and "jamaatis", who never bothered to read the Constitution they ALREADY have and have ALWAYS HAD, are now calling for it to be "rewritten".
