Oh man I had forgotten about this song, I remember listening to it growing up and thinking some of it reminded me of me, a foster child who's own mother didn't want her. As a grew to an adult I learned she placed there for my own protection. My Grandpa always said " There's no shame in being poor, it's just darn inconvenient"
Yours is my favorite reaction channel because you actually listen to the songs instead of pausing them and losing the flow. You also give an inspirational commentary afterwards that I really appreciate. Kudos to you brother! Keep it up!
I have ten and twelve year old girls. When I see them hold doors open for people and offer help to elderly loading bags in the Walmart parking lot or wanting to give water and food to people on the street corner...I am so proud and I know I've done something right. I like to lead by example. One of my oldest daughter's best friends is that little girl in a wheelchair. She loves helping push her around school and helping her. Makes my heart happy! This world needs more of that. Thank you for this!
Love what you are doing young man! I am 58 yrs young living in the beautiful state of Texas! People are going to need each other, country music has a many beautiful stories that can help out young people through their journies! God Bless you!
Wow....you’ve never heard of Mark Wills?? I think he was an artist who never got the recognition he deserved. Listen to his song “Wish You Were Here” definitely a great song
I grew up on this song, I grew with a bone disease in my hip which left me with a severe limp and having to go through several surgeries, I could never run right and I was always the slow kid on the playground. When I first heard this song I cried because I would always get called names and got laughed at because I couldnt run like the other kids. They always made me chase them. My parents told me I listened to this song at least 5x a day every day. This song always stuck with me.
My husband played this for my oldest daughter several years ago and she cried so hard. To this day as soon as she hears the first note she will tear up. But she had been picked on by a couple of kids and one of them ended up getting hurt at school and my husband told her that wasn't the way to be, and that's when he played this for her. By the way...I used to rock LA Gears with hot pink & black shoe strings 😊
This song always makes me cry because I was bullied all through school. It was so bad that my senior year I attempted 30 years later I'm doing much better. And I realize that I am worth loving.
When I was a kid in the 80's and 90's, we weren't dirt poor, but we weren't quite middle class either. We wore clothes bought from the Salvation Army or from yard sales. So just from that I'd get grief. It also didn't help that I was a huge nerd with glasses, and scrawy and short, and mouthy as hell. I got bullied all the time, but I made friends with the biggest guy in class who was picked on because of his weight. We made a hell of a team, I was the mouth, he was the muscle, and no one wanted to pick on us. We added others to our group, a kid who was amazingly shorter than I was, and a guy who was real tall and thin, but not exactly "cool" and sharp witted. I transferred to a private school at 6th grade, and man... I was on my own against spoiled rich kids who were holier than thou because my family weren't members of their church. I had different ways of dealing with them, most of which got me in a lot of trouble, namely going to the principle's office to get some swats from a sawed off canoe paddle. I transferred back to a public high school, and was with my friends again, which are still friends of mine, even though we don't see each other so much since school.
This is one of those great songs, that I'd completely forgotten about. Thanks for playing this, it's a great reminder that it's no harder to be kind than to be cruel.
This song has always been special to me. My little sister has Down Syndrome and went to a program that had stuff to help them feel like regular kids and they played this song in a video they made for each kid of the fun they had. It was amazing seeing all of the kids being themself. They were all so sweet, loving, and kind to each other. We need more kindness and love in this world.
You are very welcome and tyvm for this....means alot to me. This may be just a bit long but i feel i owe you an explanation for bugging you lol. When i got to my new city here in Alvin Tx i knew no one. The school i went to had bunches of rich dressing kids. Idk if you know baseball but i went to school with hall of famer Nolan Ryans youngest son and his daughter. Anyway i just didnt fit it in because my dad refused to spend 70 bucks on a pair of pants (cavarichis) nor 100 bucks on shoes. So i got made fun of nonstop. This one dude would say something nice about a shirt or something and when i said thank you hed laugh and say "you thought i was serious? I wouldnt wipe my butt with that." just really mean things like that. He would do thing to embarrass me just the whole nine. This went on for a couple of years. I wouldnt do anything about it not cuz i was scared but i seriously just wanted to be friends. Anyway It got so bad and i was so tired of being messed with about.my.looks...my clothes....shoes...etc. That i cried the night before i started high school and begged my dad to let me quit school and go to work. He told me that wasnt going to happen and i started high school. Long story short....my freshman year hes walking behind me..with a friend...and he makes a comment about me and something i was wearing and i just had enough. I turned and told him id been listening to it for 2 yrs and i was ending it that day. I told him if he had a problem we could deal with it. He said afterschool and i told him nope we are ending it right then so either we fight right then or i do not ever want to hear him say or hear of him saying another word about me. I even told him that i might not beat his butt but GE WILL know he fought me. He started with the he was just joking abd didnt mean to upset me crap. After that i never heard him or of him saying anything bad about me. When hed see me in the hall hed nod hello to me. It sucked but i like to find the silver lining and it A. Galvanized me and i dont care as much about what others say about me. B. helped me learn to stand up for kyself. And C. Helped me find my voice and the courage to take up for.those that cant take up for themselves. Like when folks would pick on the handicapped kids or shy kids i started helping them out. So while i never wanna be friends with the guy i do thank him..and all of them... for that. I feel im who i am today partly because of it. I said its still relevant because my sons a great kid....very sweet and respectful but super shy and anxious. Well hes homeschooled now because he was being bullied badly. We went to the school more than once because of it. They supposedly have a zero tolerance stand on bullying. We kept going and heard things like "boys will be boys", "He needs to tell his teacher and point.out who is doing it" (which would make it worse cuz theyd know he snitched), and my favorite "its a big school and we cant watch every student all day." Anyway he started not wanting to go to school at all. Finally he broke down sobbing that its gotten worse and the teachers not only know its happening but 2 of them he heard snicker at some of the stuff they said. We went to the high school and the lady in the office told us that the aisd zero tolerance stand is actually more of a act like you dont hear or see it and everythings just fine stand. She said straight up that we wouldnt get any real help and if my son lashed out at the people....which he wanted to do trust me... Hed get in troible even though bullying has been reported. So we have to protect him ourselves and we should think about homeschool. She gave us some information about programs and thats what we are now doing. I literally live about a 5 minute drive away from Santa Fe high school. This past May about a week before school let out they made headlines because a student went in and killed like 9 people during a school shooting right after school started. Not making excuses because he had no reason to do that and i hope he NEVER gets out but supposedly he was bullied by students and a football coach. So its still a VERY relevant message. Anyway tyvm for doing this song. It really means alot to me. Sorry this is so long but i wanted to explain. Btw i am a male and my last name is pronounced like paw-haw or like HaHa.....the C is silent..
Wow. What a very inspiring story. Thank you for sharing Bubba Pacha. You could litterally make a song out of what you just wrote. I see why this song means so much to you though. Very awesome! God bless.
I'm right there with you, Bubba. I was one of the outcast kids in a farming community. Between our financial situation, physical looks, disabilities, outside the norm thinking, and being the younger sister to a brother that did nothing as his buddies decided to declare open season in harassment, it got pretty bad. The "help" I got was "self-esteem" counseling with the school counselor, which had me walking by the kitchens just in time for my brother's grade to have lunch. I took it all plus an abusive situation at home. I remember wondering where the hell this song was when that was going on. But if you want a positive of that all, I did learn how to cook and recognize produce that most people don't use, let alone see. I could probably make you a "pumpkin pie" out of about 6 different things that are NOT the standard orange pumpkin.
Here's another good song by Patty Loveless it's "How can I help you say Goodbye". Reminds me of my mom, I was her power of attorney when she was sick and it took the rest of my family from me BUT she was my everything and I wouldn't change that for the world. This song still makes me cry. It's so true and I had a best friend named Jamie and her mom took away our ability to see each other... It'll make sense as you hear the song. Take care
Thank you so much for sharing that. Also hats off to you for sticking by your mothers side. I had to sit by the bedsides of patients who family wouldn't come to be with them on their last days on this earth. Really sad! so thank you for being there for her.
@@Modern-Renaissance-Man How can they call themselves family? I flew down I4 and I75 to be there for Mom and hold Dad's hand when Mom called that he had collapsed into a coma. I had just visited the weekend before when they got a diagnosis of lymphoma, not that bad, will start the treatment next week, great prognosis, caught it in plenty of time..... That was Sunday, he collapsed Wednesday and took his last breath Saturday while I sat on the foot of his bed and Mom next to his head. I lost Mom last year to COPD. I was sitting on her bed with her when she went.
This is one of the songs that always makes me cry real tears, not just makes me melancholy. It would definitely be a good one for Ty to do a reaction on.
I particularly love this song and it means so much too me. I was born with spina bifida. I was bullied 2 no end. It was a nightmare. This song speaks volumes 2 everyone who thinks they are different or not loved. Because we definitely are the same and we are all loved! GOD BLESS💙
Stay strong friend. I've treated many patients like you with that condition. Stay strong.surround yourself with people who push you towards your goals. God bless you friend
@@Modern-Renaissance-Man You are such a kind, fun-loving, and caring spirit. I really love ur videos and I have nothing but ♥ & respect 4 you! GOD BLESS U MY DEAR FRIEND💙
It's ok Brother, I remember our lights cut off, no food in the house, me 10 years old going down the road, with my sorry brother in law, to a farm and stealing corn to get something to eat.. And I went to every elementary school in High Point, NC getting kicked out of so many rentals and all... Hard times but you wouldn't be who you are now...
Ty, ty for the comments!!!!!!! You're awesome. Greetings from the MS Gulf Coast....gotta love that Florida Panhandle. Blessings to you and your family ❤️❤️❤️
Moments by Emerson Drive. Somebody's Someone by Daphne Willis. Walk a Little Straighter Daddy by Billy Currington. That last one really gets me because my third-born son, who was rejected by his father (all 5 of my children are fathered by the same man) told me that this song makes him sad because it reminds him of his father, who is an alcoholic. That broke my heart. He was my only child of all of them who I had to protect from his dad's cold shoulder like that and we were quite close as a result ... I love reaction videos and came across your channel recently. I appreciate your mindfulness and manner. Glad I found you here. ☮💗🎶
Johnny Cash the song Hurt is a amazing song and the video is the best video ive ever seen. Another great icon in country music. Your reactions are awesome very honest.
He is an amazing man. He played for the children at the Arkansas children's hospital many years ago and held my daughter on his lap while singing to her, she had just had her 4th brain surgery at the age of 3.
Mark Wills "Nineteen Somethin'".... pretty much sums up life for us who grew up just a little before you were born.... yes, I remember the day Elvis died and was in 10th grade when the Challenger blew up. We were watching it in school. Also the song "A Different World" by Bucky Covington. They're both blasts from the past for those of us who grew up in the 70's and 80's. And we survived to tell the tale!!!!!!!!!!!
I just want to make it very clear that my like that I gave this video had absolutely nothing to do with the song. It's a great song but...wow... my heart💕 I listened to every single word and I heard you. I can relate. Without going into detail I will say I survived my childhood. You are brave when you share things from your personal experiences. Keep doing what you do. You reach the hearts of others. I know you did mine!
Thanks for posting this sadly bullying has taken a lot of children's life's. I've been a Pediatric Flight Paramedic for 19 years . It seems like in the past 7 years suicide in children due to bullying is sky rocketing . People that seem to bully don't understand the damage they do to a child , when they're no better then the person they are bullying. Modern Renaissance Man please react to Alyssa Lies by Jason Michael Carroll , Have a blessed Day Sir.
Oh ! I meant to add The Avett Brothers, No Hard Feelings and Through My Prayers. These NC brothers are Renaissance men, in my opinion, grandsons of a progressive preacher during the Civil Rights years, salt of the earth, just truly decent, kind, warm, wonderful, generous beings. I would love to see your reactions ! They have so many wonderful songs and are terrific multi-instrument musicians -- in fact, the younger brother [Seth] has his own model of Martin 35 named after him ! They are also very skilled songwriters. Maybe listen to Murder in the City, too. Keep cranking these out ! I am loving it and I am far from the only one. 😊
Another great song by Mark Wills Is" I wish you were here" about a husband that goes on a business trip doesn't make it home but after his wife find out he passed she received a postcard from him. It's a pretty interesting song.
Just recently subscribed to your channel. Love all your reactions. Thanks so much for this. I was made fun of most of my child hood and I still do at times now.
I love this song and the message. My kids wanna go out and buy my grandbabies every toy they want and i sat them down yesterday and told them I asked for 3 maybe 4 gifts in my life bc we were poor BUT I got sooo stuff they have no idea about.. They wanted to know my favorite gift... I said Wisdom.. i got it all the time and it never came wrapped but It was definitely the best gift I ever got from my sing mom....
I always loved that song by Mark Wills. Another couple of good ones by Mark Wills are Wish You Were Here and The Last Memory. Songs like this are why I love country music! Another great one is One of These Days by Tim McGraw. Now that I know that you don’t like long song lists I only left you three on this one. See, I can adapt, lol.
I remember that time.... I reacted the same way you did violently.. You're from Tennessee? Me too. Oh God, were always fed whoever needed it even if it made us go without. I marched to the beat of my own drum and have taught my kids to do the same. I STILL me and my boys both won't let anyone go hungry no matter what. Love and respect to you brother.
This song was one of my favourites as a kid (still is) and got me through a lot of hard times. I was bullied a lot for various things and this song somehow always made me feel a little better.
This song is amazing. I always loved this song. Its a great message, we are all different. And that's OK. And kids can be cruel because we don't know any better, and as adults were still don't.
You always do a great job with your videos! As others have said, I appreciate that you let the video run without constantly interrupting it then give great insight into how you feel about it.
I can relate to what you are saying in your review. When I was growing up my parents bought us what we NEEDED for school! We learned to appreciate whatever they could afford to buy for us. Shoes and clothes were what was on sale. To this day I still shop that way. The way I see it... Why spend a crap load of money on a pair of jeans when I'm just going to go out and get them stained up doing whatever job I'm doing? My wife gives me grief because I only replace clothes when they are completely worn out. When I was growing up I never could understand what the big deal was with the kids that had to have nothing but the brand names and the newest tech. For that matter I still don't. To each his own. Keep on doin' what you do sir! You've got a ton of fans!
I’m a Tennessee Lady n I’ve been there while growing up and as an adult I went to 46 different schools so was hard to make friends when you was just gonna leave them behind knowing you was just gonna leave them behind thank you for doing this song so much it meant a lot.
This is only my 2nd writing to ur reviews but this one is heart felt and I truly appreciate you telling ur stories and just being honest. I’ll say it again, you sir are very blessed and I will continue to watch ur reviews. GREAT work 👍🏼
I've loved this song since I first heard it. One of the reasons I love it is because it states in terms a 6 year old can understand what is going on: getting pleasure from someone else's pain. Bullies often rationalise their behaviour by minimising ("it's just a joke") or deflecting blame ("noone likes that kid anyway)." But what is really happening is that the bully is getting a dirty pleasure from watching someone else hurt. Name the behaviour and I bet a lot of bullies stop thinking that it is a cool thing to do.
This is a great song I'm glad you done this one. I know I've left a request on a a few of your comment sections on some of your videos you've done but check out Touch by an angels testify to Love by Wynonna is called Psalm 151 also is what they call it on the show too but check that out it holds a lot of meaning and if you read when I left in your reaction video from you're going to miss this by Trace Adkins you'll see why it means a lot to me and my family and I'm so glad that you do videos like this and it's all talk to videos It's amazing And thank you for doing them.
I was just talking about this very thing last week that when you're a kid EVERYTHING matters and if you only knew then what you know now, that even though things were hurtful then and yes, it does follow you into adulthood, but just realize that it doesn't matter and that the bullies are no different and no better than you and when you're grown it all equalizes out and you don't care anymore. Everything can be SO devastating to you when you're growing up. I wish kids knew how bad they hurt each other. Great reaction and really enjoy this channel.
You ate so right ty .i am so proud of my 2 kids because they are just like there mommy /me / lol they are so against bully's and fight for the ones that are mistreated. I'm a proud mother for that too
When i was in elementary school I was bullied mercilessly, to the point that I'd pretend to be sick so i wouldn't have to deal with it. At about 8 or 9 years old i got up in front of the school and sang this. It calmed some of the tensions for a while. This song brings back some memories for me. Such a great song
I live in Tennessee. I'm so sorry you went through that. I had my son when I was 19 and I was blessed to have friends and family that would help me at times but they didn't have a lot themselves. When I was young we lost our dad. My mom worked day and night just to keep us fed and a roof over our head. She died from cancer when I was nine years old. I was ten months old when daddy died from heart problems. This was before public assistance etc. Whatever we had it was from picking cotton or helping with the garden of whatever. I feel blessed because our family was so close and still are close. I feel sad for kids nowadays. They don't know what that kind of happiness is and unfortunately never will know. I have a roof over my head and a safe place to sleep every night and I thank God every day for it.
Oooooh. Five Finger Death Punch released a new video last week When the Season's Change. It's another powerful video just like Wrong Side of Heaven that you reacted to. I was crying by the end of it. This rock band has the most moving videos I have ever seen. Highly suggest you react to it. 😃👍🏻❤️
Great song and another awesome reaction video. Please do a Chris Young song The Man I Want To Be. Just an amazing song from an amazing singer. One of the best voices in country music today.
Mark Wills goes to my church. He’s a great, genuine guy, and definitely not your typical celebrity.lol
Kyle Riggs amazing person.
$30 shoes $300 shoes... our graves will still be the same height ... stay humble people
Not if you're Egyptian lol
What about $3 shoes?
Why do people have to question this the real message is we will all die so why treat eachother differently one day we will all be the same in the end
Oh man I had forgotten about this song, I remember listening to it growing up and thinking some of it reminded me of me, a foster child who's own mother didn't want her. As a grew to an adult I learned she placed there for my own protection.

I loooooved this song growing up. It has never failed to make me tear up. Everyone can relate to this and it's such a great reminder.
Jacob's ladder is another of Mark Wills songs that I love. I also had requested Dont laugh at me. Great Reaction and I thank you!
Love the song but I can not listen to it 😭
Great song
Such a great personal song with great positive message! The kind we don't hear anymore! Thank you for this one! Much love and respect!
That song and video grabs at my heart every single time!!
@@Modern-Renaissance-Man
You are such a kind, fun-loving, and caring spirit. I really love ur videos and I have nothing but ♥ & respect 4 you! GOD BLESS U MY DEAR FRIEND💙
I was born with spina bifida
It's ok Brother, I remember our lights cut off, no food in the house, me 10 years old going down the road, with my sorry brother in law, to a farm and stealing corn to get something to eat.. And I went to every elementary school in High Point, NC getting kicked out of so many rentals and all... Hard times but you wouldn't be who you are now...
Ty, ty for the comments!!!!!!! You're awesome. Greetings from the MS Gulf Coast....gotta love that Florida Panhandle. Blessings to you and your family ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful! Very timely. I enjoy your reactions.
Deb Alexander Walk a Little Straighter Daddy!!! Such a good one. One of my favorites of his.
I've always Loved this song, tells the Truth!, thank you Bubba for suggesting it💕
Written by Mark Wills, this is a great song with a great message. Thank you!
Johnny Cash the song Hurt is a amazing song and the video is the best video ive ever seen. Another great icon in country music. Your reactions are awesome very honest.
You should listen to He Didn't Have to Be by Brad Paisley.
Great song. Brad is equally good for a silly song or a deep meaningful one. I like Waiting On a Woman, too.
Oh yes. That is such a touching song. I don't know that I have ever heard a song as a tribute to a step parent.
Yes I love this songggg
Definitely
maybellinelover I whole heartedly agree
He is an amazing man. He played for the children at the Arkansas children's hospital many years ago and held my daughter on his lap while singing to her, she had just had her 4th brain surgery at the age of 3.
Another great country song is
the Baby by Blake Shelton it has a deep meaning not to take life for granted
I met the song writer of this song
"$teve Seskins" what a great song writing mind ...
Shout out to Steve ...
oh, thank you! this is one of my favorite song.
this song is beautiful I loved it when it came out and to hear it again was nice
I got you
Yes it's ashame that parents don't teach there kids not to bully anyone
As my bias Suga in BTS said in one of the songs he wrote "it's easier to love someone else than yourself". ( That is the song love yourself answers).
Bless you man, and the way you speak. Appreciate you, we need more role models like you for our kiddos.
Youre so open minded. Thank you!!! We need more people like you . Thank you
60 yrs of talk about never turn anyone away
Thank you for playing this song my youngest son is deaf and this is one of our favorite songs
I don't know how I missed this review. Excellent as always!!
Another great song by Mark Wills Is" I wish you were here" about a husband that goes on a business trip doesn't make it home but after his wife find out he passed she received a postcard from him. It's a pretty interesting song.
Great song...Thanks mrm, love your work bubba pacha ..
Love this guy!! What a powerful message...especially with all the bullying that goes on nowadays. Thank y'all for the the reminder...God bless!
This song always makes me tear up. Its a beautiful song so relatable.
Mark Wills had a great song called Wish You Were Here.
This song was one of my favourites as a kid (still is) and got me through a lot of hard times. I was bullied a lot for various things and this song somehow always made me feel a little better.
I so love country songs with their wonderful messages and miss it so today
I'm from Tennessee and I don't understand this kind of behavior! The area I was raised up people helped people! GREAT SONG!
Every time I hear this song....I cry like a baby!!!! It has sooo sooo much truth to it!!!!
You should also do his song....”Wish You Were Here”
We three on AGT and their first audition song!!
This is a new one for me! Very pleasant and easy listening. I love story tellers. Thanks!
I’m a Tennessee Lady n I’ve been there while growing up and as an adult I went to 46 different schools so was hard to make friends when you was just gonna leave them behind knowing you was just gonna leave them behind thank you for doing this song so much it meant a lot.
Man this song hits home I was that child always laughed at by the others Nd some of my family . I still feel the pain.
I would love to have you listen to Vern Gosdin Chisled in stone. The message in this song is so truthful and strong. Thank You. Lesa White
I'm a proud mother for that too
I always had Payless shoes!
I had a pair of LA Gears too! 👍🏻
Oh goodness, I had forgotten about this song. 😢 I used to be bullied too.
Try his (Mark Willis) song 19 Somethin'. If you grew up in the 70's or 80's, you can relate.
god bless you sir
This is one I haven't seen on any reviews anywhere, it's real country. Chris Ledoux "Silence on the line" or "This Cowboys Hat." Thx bud.
this hit home,,, another I have never heard,
I always liked this song. Solid message and one that we can all relate too at some point.
My neighbor and wonderful person.Watch him coming home each week end to spend time with his wonderful family.
God bless this song!! Powerful stuff
That's one of my favorite songs
I love that song to its a really deep song that touchs your heart
I love this song for years...
My absolute FAVORITE Mark Wills song is "Wish you were Here" I really think youd like it to! Thanks for all you do
😂😂 LA Gear dang I remember having those back in the day. We were clothed in all Walmart and Payless shoes and I dared people to say something .
Great song! I remember this from a long time ago! Thanks for the review! Namaste!
I'm reacting to these songs too. Never heard any of them. This was good.
Holes In The Floor Of Heaven- By Blake Shelton
Its really heart wrenching! You'll love it!
