I cry Every time I hear this. My mom almost died having all my siblings and myself and everybody was told to tell her goodbye but she's still here by the grace of god! Absolutely amazing song!!
@Alexis Mathers. I can relate to this. (Sorry if this is TMI for some) My mother only had 2 kids (but there was a reason for that and it wasn't due to having tubes tied, etc...). I'm the oldest and when she was pregnant with me, her body developed Toxemia, which attacks the baby, and then attacks the mother. They had to take me early to prevent any injury to the both of us. When my sister was born, my mother didn't have that same issue, and was able to deliver naturally. However, during birth, she started screaming in pain yelling that something was wrong. Doctors kept trying to comfort her, telling her that this was normal birthing pains, and to focus on her breathing, etc... However, once my sister was born, Doctors soon realized why she was screaming in pain. She was quickly losing a lot of blood. In my sister's hands was 1 of my mother's ovaries. She didn't want to come out, and so grabbed on to the nearest thing that she could hold onto. Now my sister is 27 and she still hasn't had a child yet, saying that she's scared to have a child because she feels karma would come back at her for what she did when she was born.
I keep having a phone app ask me to rate them and it's asked if I love it. I always reply I can not love something that is not a living person. And yes I do love my dogs too
I saw Tim in concert many years ago. I will never forget when he played this song. He sang the first line, then the crowd took over singing it., and he just stood on stage watching and listening, (this song had just come out). It is one of those moments that one never forgets.
You are who you say you are by your actions. In this song Johnny loved this girl more than anything else in the world. He would give anything to keep her including his own life. True unconditional love! Great reaction, you knew it when you saw Johnny's actions.
Once again your assessment and insights are on point!! You definitely wear your heart on your sleeve. I love how the video lets you know that, the "girl" pulls through after his prayer to God, and shows the family together as it fades to black. Especially since the song itself leaves you guessing. Great reaction video!
Songs like this never got to me until I had a daughter. Now I can’t watch a movie or listen to a song like this without crying my eyes out. My wife said I’ve turned into a big softy after we had our daughter.
It all comes down to love! As my Dad was dying he told me I was a good mom. I asked him why he said that. He said, "You support and encourage your kids in what they want to pursue." Then he told me his father had discouraged him and told him he wasn't good enough to do certain careers. Love is all we take with us when we leave this earth.
Thanks for your message after this amazing song. Country music tells so many great stories that make me cry! "And these three remain - faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is LOVE!"
I've heard this song 50 million times, and I know all the words. But I CANNOT listen to it and not get teary eyed. I'm a grown ass man and I'm not ashamed to say that this song gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME. LOVE IT!!!
I love this song but I can't really listen to it that much cause it makes me tear up. so when I'm driving and the song comes on I have to turn the station cant cry and drive.... lol
No matter how many times I listen to this song it never gets any easier to listen to. I have a video on my channel called "Real Life Miracle" that explains a little about how I went through kinda the same thing as what he went through at the end of the song. I learned that no matter how hard core a man thinks he is, when it comes to his child and wife maybe not making it through labor and delivery it will break the strongest person out there
I absolutely love your reaction as it’s exactly how I felt when it first came out. You also seemed to be intently interested in the song and the emotional journey it takes you through as you listen and watch the events unfold. Timing’s important and you seemed to be in the mood to really experience and embrace this song so I appreciate that. See, I told you ‘90s Country is the best! Another great one by Tim McGraw is One of These Days!!
Love is the most powerful thing in the Universe. It allows you to do things you never knew possible. It's gives you strength you didn't know you had. It allows you to give more of yourself then you ever have. It will help you be more then you are.
I always cry when I listen to it the first time I listened to it I was 7 and I was balling because his prayer was so powerful and so sweet and it made me a little 7 year old girl cry even if I didn't get the full message
Flashback!! I heard this song for the first time in the summer of 2000! 35 years old and just met my now hubby in the spring. Today is my 55th bday and ive been spending my entire day with my earbuds on. Catching up with your reaction videos today. Thank you MRM, you are so much more than a guy reacting to music videos. I love your comedy videos and am inspired by your videos that re inforce in me how great is our God. He truly is an all consuming fire! Bless you and your family Ty. You said you are one of 4 boys...we have four boys as well..from 38-22 years old, our youngest is Tyler!!!. At least i have 2 girls though.. My grandaughters!
I was raised learning and eventually understand the meaning of the words to most of these song and I believe that there is nothing that if you can't find the words to what you are trying to say there is a song that can and tell more then you though to say
Lot of memories, this is the last song my dad and uncle played together before they were both killed in a horrible car accident. It's hard for me to listen to it. But great song with really deep meaning! Great job
Debbie Loucks Collin Raye is so underrated and he was my first Country concert. Growing up in Alaska few artists would make the trip up there but Collin did and I saw him in 94. It was amazing and he has always been in my top 5 for Country artists. Little Rock was the song I first learned from him and I love it to this day. There’s so many great songs on his albums! Little Rock; Not That Different; One Boy, One Girl; That Was a River; Love, Me; In This Life; Love Remains; If I Were You; Someone You Used to Know; Little Red Rodeo; That’s My Story; I Think About You; Man of My Word; Somebody Else’s Moon; What the Heart Wants; Every Second; I Volunteer; I Want You Bad; On the Verge; My Kind of Girl; Angel of No Mercy; Heart Full of Rain; I Love Being Wrong; and The Gift. They’re all great songs!!!
Oh this is a BEAUTIFUL song.. when i was pregnant with my son's I cried every time I heard this.. thanks for reacting to this it's GREAT.. God bless!!!
Everyone says this song is so sad. I don't see it that way. The song is open ended and I choose to believe God answered his prayer and she lived. Always loved this song
+Leigh Barry "Take the very breath you gave me, take the heart from my chest. I'll gladly take her place if you'll let me, make this my last request. Take me out of this world. God, please don't take the girl"
OMG! I haven’t heard this song in so long. I LOVED the story so much of this song. I felt like it could be a movie. I’m gonna come back with a recommendation in this vein.
Great reaction. This song is one of those great Real Life songs that teaches us how we can and should be in a very meaningful way so we all can understand and take it to heart
I just have to say....You are an amazing human being IMO. So accepting of the truth of things ....a stand up guy who stands for all the right things. Bless you always
Thank you for the tears. Every time I hear that song it makes me think of my mama. It was our Memorial Dance at my wedding because she wasn't there with us.
Ty, I've been watching your videos for a a couple of months now and really like what I see....You seem to have a great appreciation for all types of music and no bias....Your feel for the flow of music, the message, and the frequencies that touch the mind and soul of the receiver is apparent... Music that works will move you, as it should...Just keep up with what you are doing....it brings joy to many people to know that others feel the same as they do.....You will be very busy as there is a lot of great music out there that many people have never heard.....At 68 I may have a head start on you but I'm sure you will catch up in time.....the people will make sure of it.......Thank you for what you do.....All you need is love, and music delivers.......
I really like you as a person! I love your commentary and I love when you mouth your thoughts to the camera 😂❤ and the bible says that you should love your spouse like you love yourself and this song tells a stroy about this. ❤❤❤
Country Music tells such great stories!!! Have you ever heard of the A Capella group Pentatonix? If not..try Pentatonix does Daft Punk. Can't believe it's A Capella but it is...prepared to be blown away !!!!! or you could do "Mary did you know" by them as well.
That song has always had a special spot for me. The first time I heard it was the final couple miles back to a girls house to drop her off. We were teenagers and and been friends for a few years but this was our first date. Two minutes before that song came on she let me know that tonight was her last night in Texas and she was moving to Washington state that weekend.
Man, I am addicted to watching your videos. I have been binge watching you for the past couple hours. This is one of my favorite songs on all time and you got the message spot on. Please do Papa Loved Mama by Garth Brooks. It is another great song.
This song makes me cry like a baby no matter how many times I hear it
34 year old guy and it still makes me tear up.
Old school Tim McGraw just knew how to hit you in the gut.

Love is a verb. An action word. Couldn’t agree more.
I keep having a phone app ask me to rate them and it's asked if I love it. I always reply I can not love something that is not a living person. And yes I do love my dogs too
John Mayer did a song called, Love Is A Verb...good song.
