In my case (Phantom 3 Standard), it was not enough to change the cable (change 3 times)! He remained dead! I later discovered a defect on Pith-axis ESC Motor Circuit Board. At the contact point called HCLR_N, it was shorted! On the back of this board, several shorted pins also on the main controller chip. I bought a new and compatible board on eBay (Pith-axis ESC Motor Circuit Board), made the exchange, and miraculously, it worked perfectly !!!! :)
The bad firmware update destroyed the circuit boards on different ways, to my drone disabled the micro SD card slot, and killed the camera, I would say Dji destroyed our devices on different kinds, to switch or upgrade to new drones, I'm afraid to do so, because who knows they may do it again, I'm looking get different manufacturer brands. Because I don't understand why my device should cause problems after firmware update.
@@FlightSim2703 i agree. Last year i was able to use my P3S completely fine. After one year in the box with battery intact, i cant fly it.. no video feed
@@FlightSim2703 I repaired mine yesterday, I replaced the ribbon cable on the gimbal and my gyroscope is dead but camera worked fine so I flew it anyway
No, I haven't. Fortunately, my business has given me enough money to be able to afford a new one so I did that. I think in the future by going to replace the whole gimbal. I think that is the only way. It cost $250 so it's really not worth it to replace.
@@northmsdroneservice4315 good for you, it looks I got to get new one too, but for sure I will not go with dji because they may send us another bug for discussion.
Hey mine crashe its a p3se and it broke the gimbal i replaced it with a p3standard gimbal didnt worl so i took all the parts off the and put them on it doesnt work if you help it nother but if you hold the camera and wiggle it you can feel it trying just not very hard
For everyone who's confused, if your Phantom 3 turns on (makes its beep sound) but doesn't move the gimbal, then you need to slightly tap the back spine of the gimbal and it seems to 'wake it up', getting it to turn on. I've had the problem for a bit now and my Phantom's 3 & 1/2 years old, so it seems to happen in older drones.
Thats what Ive had to do to mine as well. Its a great drone but the gimbal seems to break pretty quickly. I ended up buying another Phantom 3, sometimes I have problems with the gimbal on the new one but its rare compared to the phantom 3 in the video.
Don't disassemble your drone, the problem is firmware update, if you recently update the firmware, do to old firmware, DJI did this to us to get more money out of us. My problem the SD card slot disconnected, and camera lost the image, I can't go back :(
@@KurtBarcelona well.. cases may different, but if you surch UA-cam will see too many owners have the same issue, and problem with camera started after the firmware update by the time of firmware update.

Brian Shabani just downgrade the firmware

this is completely untrue. I did not in any way update my firmware and this happened. Hardware related this is.
