well brother I don't care what anybody else thinks your video was very informative ,,I did the same thing to mine ,stright into a huge pine tree,, I found another real cheep so I bought it ,,I was going to just through the broken cam away untill I saw your video ,,so now I will order the parts through prime and I will have two phantom 3 standards Thanks for the info ,,, and DJI rocks,,,Oh and you banjo tune at the end is awesome
Man! You have really straight hands! :) Thanks for the video and links. My gimbal got jugged after a small fall. I will use your guide to fix it, but first I will call to support. Thanks again! Get your thumb up!
Hello Friend, I've been making the shift from the phantom tape with all the steps made in the video. when actually it did not work. You know what can go through with it, or a screening method that can be done?
This video helped me a lot and I found an easier way to wrap the cable around the camera. Just start from the camera connect first next time, if there is a next time! Thanks for the video!
appreciation goes to this guy thank you so much I don't know what I would have done I was flying my drone at my friends house ran into tree your the best
I got the same problem but the camera didn't detached from the drone. Anyway, what else was included in the kit you've purchased? (Aside from the Yaw Arm Gimbal & Gimbal Cable) Thanks!
Hey, good video. So my drone crashed, and the arm is is crooked to the plate its not 90 degrees to the plate. Any Idea how to fix that? The arm isnt crooked would/could it be the little pin the arm is attached to?
If you record well leave it... if you insist must take gimbal full apart an repalce the yaw arm. or straighten it prior heating it up somewhat. It is a difficult task,
Hey dude, I did this repair last night (without instruction, I'm searching for a solution to another problem now) and just a word of advice. You said wrapping the cable around the camera axis was the hardest part, to which I agree, but if you start at the camera (plug wire into camera first), then install the camera and screw, THEN wrap the cable around and then do the rest backwards.. you don't have to wrap the cable underneath itself. The next arm is problematic as well but my solution to that was opening the housing, open the clip, close the housing, then use tweesers or something small to close the clip with the housing encasing it.
+H Truong I'm sure that someone somewhere sells that cable. Check out the seller on Amazon that sold the ones I used. I remember them having a lot of stuff.
Ok, do you know were I can find the settings for the gimbal so it will stop pointing more to the left than to the right so it will be pointing in the center , Can you please make a video about it?
Nice vid , last year I crashed my drone , replaced the shell , I need to fix my broken gymball . Where did u get the parts ??. Any help appreciated . Thanks
thank you. do you know if we can fix just the up/down swivel motor? mine seems to be totally stuck after a firmware upgrade to v1.7.9. no crashes or anything, and i cant seem to downgrade my fw to an earlier version from v1.7.9 now... tried 4 different ways, using SD card, etc. thanks!!
+Garrett Leonardson it's been quite a while since this video but I believe back then I was shooting 2.7k at 24fps, I have since switched to 30fps unless it's low light.
Hi, the same thing has occurred to me on my Phantom 3 Advanced but I'm just trying to see if it will still fly with the damage that has occurred and it won't. When I power it on, yellow lights flicker non stop and it won't let me calibrate the drone. I've tried doing a software update on the drone itself but it didn't go through. If I buy the parts you did to fix the gimbal, do you think it will fix the errors that are occurring to my drone?
Good morning, brother. My phantom 3 std wet the camera and now the image is a little greenish. Which may be the problem, would be flat cable or the gimbal board.
Hei, my gimbal and the camera are pointing a little bit more to the left than the right. I wonder if this is something that you can fix in the menu and if this is normal?
Mine broke the exact same way about an hour ago. Is there a way that you can check to see if the camera motor still functions or should you just replace the gimbal arm and ribbon cable and hope for the best?
Would you recommend gimbal flex flat cable from China ? Seems so fragile and wondering how reliable is not OEM one. Dou you have experiences guys? Does it works on not OEM one?
hey I have a problem I have a Phantom 3 4k drone and my drone be having a slight wobble in it. I bought several new propellers still the same issue. when it is setting down there's no wobble issues only whenever I flying do you think that's a mechanical issue or a software issue?
I have quick question that I'm having trouble with. Do you see that pin your finger is pointing at at 16:52 ? That pin doesn't exactly go in and out of that hole in the vibration board very easily without taking the board off. Is it ok to bend the board enough to slip the pin in or is there another trick? I replace my vibration board and now I wish I had put that pin in before I attached the board to the drone itself because it doesn't want to cooperate if you put it in the way it's supposed to be... so mine is upside down and I don't want to start the project all over if I can help it. Any ideas on how to solve this small problem and has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance for any help.
+ghanim alshanfari That, I'm not sure of. I know there is now a version called the phantom 3 4K which is essentially a Standard with a 4K camera. I just haven't done the research. If you end up finding out come back and let me know because I'd be very interested to find out.
I have followed your video until 12:52 when you removed the screw, then remove the camera. I removed the screw but the camera is not sliding off. Any suggestions? Did i miss something?
+Josh Lartigaut Some of the loctite may have gotten into the shaft or something. You could try gently prying it with a screwdriver but be careful and don't break it.
I trying to repair my Phantom 3 standard gimbal. I tried to check the link you've provided but it doesn't offer international shipping. Do you have any idea where i can order the same stuff and have it shipped to the philippines?
:/ just crashed mine again lol. i am waiting for a new ribbon everything else seemed fine after inspection. im just hoping after i get it back together that i dont have to replace the camera but if i do im gonna put the pro camera on it as i understand it will also work on the standard.thanks for the video though it came in handy when removing the camera and the broken ribbon.
hi dude, its all right ? before all, thanks for your video Dude i'm from brasil and I having a issue to disassemble the phantom 3 pro camera (my flat was broke like you), it's look to be to harder to remove the camera after removing the main screw (like your video at 12:50) when i try to pull it looks harder do pull and i fear to broke that piace
Ok,cool that's how I just set it just got the standard and I did your tablet inspired mount now ima do the Argeteck WiFi thing awesome thank you man great video's always watch them...
I broke my gimbal on my phantom 3 pro, so i bought a new gimbal and camera from ebay but I bought the wrong one. I bought a phantom 3 advanced gimbal and camera and I was wondering if I can take the 4k camera off of the broken gimbal and put it on the one that I just bought that is new? Thanks for your help, Patrick.
Did you run into a problem with the screws being different sizes and types when you went to put it all back together? I have three different screws left to install and none seem to work in the holes left to fill. I asked DJI if they had a diagram showing which screws went where in the camera and gimble arm assembly, unfortunately the help chat folks did not, nor could they direct me where to find on. Would you mind taking yours apart one more time and differentiate between which screws go where in the reassembly of the camera/gimble unit. Or even better if you can point me in the right direction I will contact whom ever you might know that can provide a breakdown of these pieces. I believe that might help everyone in the repair process.
I got a phantom 3 advanced and I'm at the part where to take off the camera from the screw but it's not coming off did I miss something or is it not going to work?
thanks for the vid, I had almost the same damage. I reassembled it all with the new parts and ribbon but I have no motion from the camera and no picture. Any ideas? The little red light blinks that is on the side of the logic board and what seems to be a green light on inside the camera itself but that is it.
Josh I did the same thing "broke the gimbal" watched your video to repair it, after putting it all back together and test'n it out, I noticed the camera wasn't working very well to the up and down button. I touched the camera to see if I could straighten it up, the camera was so HOT I couldn't touch it. Can you tell me what might be wrong?
hey i love ur vids ive been watching alot but i was wondering if you can take off the gimbal of like you did could you but a P3 pro 4k camera and connect it to the standard drone if so could you please do a video on how to do so
+isaac moore I'm not sure about this one and sadly until I have the need to do so I probably won't get to try it. I do know hey now make a 4K version of the phantom 3 standard but I'm not sure if it has different hardware to be able to use that camera.
I have an issue after an accident the Flexible Gimbal Flat Ribbon Flex Cable broke and I ordered a new one and installed it once I install it camera because craze as it in your Video . I tried to do as you did no luck same issue I ordered a new Gimbal Roll Arm & Motor . I installed them but same issue camera is very crazy please let me know if you can help
Anyone that's having problems this is actually a really easy tutorial you just have to start from the camera literally do the tutorial backwards and it will be so stupid easy
great video hope i never need to do it. o would add if you are in a environment with alot of static electricity to wear a grounding strap.even if you're not it would be a good ideal. a static shock can destroy circuitry
Easy to follow, except for the last part about wrapping the cable around and under. Took time, but I did figure it out. You could use a close up shot or a couple of still pictures there to help explain it. For the most part, this was easy to follow, and make no mistake it is a difficult fix that takes time and lots of patience to do. Please, in the future, forget the music. That said, thank you very much for this video.
I ordered the same kit, but my gimbal doesn't do its "dance" when you turn on the drone. What might cause that? I get video and everything but the gimbal hangs limp and doesn't respond to me moving it. BTW, I hit a small pine tree limb not going fast, and it fell about 6 ft.
+Sean Purnell hmm, I'd go through again and make sure all your ribbon cable connections are correct, especially check the one for the motor. Possibly look at the position sensors and see if there is any damage as well. Other than that I'm not sure.
hey so I just crashed my P3S and the drone itself is fine but the gimble broke off the gimble mount and the mount is cracked... the flex cable is fine but the other 2 wires are snapped in half. do you know if you can buy just those cables cause that and the gimble mount are all thats really wrong
I bought a used drone of this and the image is very bad, it looks nothing like your drone, did he put a parallel camera? ,the image appears to be in 780p,or have you edited the footage to get better quality?
Hello. I was in the same way as you. I replaced the cable and the broken parts, but the camera is running back and forth and does not stop. writes an error message was that "Gimbal motor overload". What can be wrong? Do you have an idea?
Hi my friend crashed my drone & the camera broke off. The only physical piece that broke was the mount, but the camera is still in one piece. The black & white wire disconnected so can that be soldered back on? I attached the male/female connector w/ the rows of wires into the drone, but didn't see the camera turn back on or do that rotating calibration thing.
did you solder them on ? did it work ? mine is the same way - the black and grey cable ripped out of the plug - the ribbon cable is ok .... i was wondering if i can just solder those on ?
Just a hint when removing the plastic clips that hold on the gimble. You push the clip back down onto the shaft and leave it for 10 seconds then pull it back up and it will come right off.
Thank you for the video. I used your link for the parts I need and will be watching the video again when my parts come in the mail so I don't break it even more. lol
I need help I i crashed my dji phantom 3 standard and saw that d gimbal flex cable split in half and when i opened d dji go app the camera would'nt move and it was all dark i bought a flex cable replacement and when i installed it it still did'nt work if u got any suggestions please comment i would highly ippreciate that
*Dont use this for 4K cameras*. You 'need' to start at the camera end for that version. The ribbon connector inside to the camera will never allow that wind and is a lot tighter fit and use the screw hole on the opposite side to mount camera to shaft . Yes I found out the hard way. Good video though..
what's a good way to protect the Gimbal? 1) www.amazon.ca/dp/B01LZRWXTJ/ref=sspa_dk_detail_6?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B01LZRWXTJ 2) Gimbal Saver: ua-cam.com/video/SJbnkSW2iso/v-deo.html
Look at your video at 13:15-13:20 (and also at 13:49) and note the rather large gap above the ribbon cable connector. That gap is large enough that you can reach in with a tool and flip up the ribbon cable lock, which means you do not have to disassemble the motor setup. What kind of tool? Take a hatpin (ie, a long pin) and heat up the end with a propane torch and form a U-shaped hook with a very small radius....say 1/16th inch. That will allow you to poke in the tool and hook the cable lock from behind and pop it up. For whatever reason that particular location is the only location with a large gap above the connector allowing access to the ribbon cable lock with a U-hook.
Another (messier) way would be to drill a small hole in the pivot arm cover directly over the cable lock to allow access to the lock without removing the cover. A hole in that location would be harmless, but who likes to drill holes????
This music is so distracting. listen, this tutorial is great and all, but you speed it up at the wrong times. Also you need to get right to the point. the actual tutorial doesnt start until later on in the video.
I realize this is an old thread but all the focus for the repair is on the camera nothing was said about checking the motors from the sudden stop of hitting a tree I know if one motor is dragging and you put it up in the air it will come back down found that out the hard way
Probably to old now. When this happened to me during my gimbal rebuild it was because I installed the camera on the motor 180 degrees out of phase with encoder. You would have to remove the cable again remove the screw that holds the camera to the shaft. Rotate the motor magnet body 180 degrees and re fasten the screw.
It's hard to make an instructional video, The music was not distracting to me. Viewers, enjoy his effort and information, stop criticizing. You can be critical when you produce a better quality instructional video. Until then shut up and enjoy the information.
I didn't have any fears that the camera wouldn't work in my situation. I guess you'd have to evaluate how damaged the camera is and decide if it's worth attempting to fix.
Tbh I'd of just plastiwelded or superglued it back together lol, but hell of a job fixing it the right way. That whole gimbal assy seems like a pain in the ass.
This helped me get "unstuck" a couple of times when replacing the gimbal board. Thanks for all your time and effort producing this video!
well brother I don't care what anybody else thinks your video was very informative ,,I did the same thing to mine ,stright into a huge pine tree,, I found another real cheep so I bought it ,,I was going to just through the broken cam away untill I saw your video ,,so now I will order the parts through prime and I will have two phantom 3 standards Thanks for the info ,,, and DJI rocks,,,Oh and you banjo tune at the end is awesome
man this video just saved me so much time and money you really know how to explain what to do you got a new sub and a like
+timbmxrider “timbmxrider” I appreciate that. Thank you
Thanks bro, thanks to your video being able to solve the problem in my gimbal. :)
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Thats the best precision screwdrive set ever!!!!!!!!!!
Man! You have really straight hands! :) Thanks for the video and links. My gimbal got jugged after a small fall. I will use your guide to fix it, but first I will call to support. Thanks again! Get your thumb up!
Thanks for the helpful video! My drone broke in the same way. When your drone was broken did the yaw motor still move if you powered it on? thanks
+Seth Johanson I never tried powering it on until I fixed it.
Thanks, I appreciate it
good work, thank you JTO2GO.
with these tips we save a lot of time and money.
+Hélder Castro as always, glad I can help
Hello Friend,
I've been making the shift from the phantom tape with all the steps made in the video. when actually it did not work. You know what can go through with it, or a screening method that can be done?
+Hélder Castro I'm not sure what you mean?
got all done ...lol got tape wire the first time ! thanks bro you got the best channel !
This video helped me a lot and I found an easier way to wrap the cable around the camera. Just start from the camera connect first next time, if there is a next time! Thanks for the video!
+TechLife Guru (1TechLifeGuru) sure thing! I'm glad you appreciate it!
appreciation goes to this guy thank you so much I don't know what I would have done I was flying my drone at my friends house ran into tree your the best
Is this ribbon replacement the same as the Phantom 2 vision plus? Thanks
I got the same problem but the camera didn't detached from the drone. Anyway, what else was included in the kit you've purchased? (Aside from the Yaw Arm Gimbal & Gimbal Cable) Thanks!
+Danica Bernas That's all that's included
that was very good. you explain it very well. I have the same p3 standard. thank you.
+jr_1322 1322 great! Always glad to be able to help.

My yellow cable (see at 9:26) was also broken. Can we find it somewhere to buy and change by ourself?
+H Truong I'm sure that someone somewhere sells that cable. Check out the seller on Amazon that sold the ones I used. I remember them having a lot of stuff.
I broke that clip off that holds the ribbon. Can I purchase a new board or clip? Thanks for the video.
Ok, do you know were I can find the settings for the gimbal
so it will stop pointing more to the left than to the right so it will be pointing in the center , Can you please make a video about it?
Did you get this fixed?
Nice vid , last year I crashed my drone , replaced the shell , I need to fix my broken gymball . Where did u get the parts ??. Any help appreciated .
Thanks
This is great. But where do I get the parts?
Hello where can i get the flexible cables to buy and what are they called in the market.
thank you. do you know if we can fix just the up/down swivel motor? mine seems to be totally stuck after a firmware upgrade to v1.7.9. no crashes or anything, and i cant seem to downgrade my fw to an earlier version from v1.7.9 now... tried 4 different ways, using SD card, etc.
thanks!!
+Joe Howarth not off the top of my head but it may be in calibration settings.
thanks, looking
hey. Does it work without the camera? I have the same broken gimbal but don't know it could still be controlled without the camera or not.
What brand you use for the ribbon gimbal
What video settings did you use at the end
+Garrett Leonardson it's been quite a while since this video but I believe back then I was shooting 2.7k at 24fps, I have since switched to 30fps unless it's low light.

+Seth van Zyl make sure you purchase he ones for the advanced, but yes. And I believe here is a way to remove the gimbal completely and still fly.
Thank you my friend. You saved my life!
Did it work after you replaced the ribbon cable?
Good morning, brother. My phantom 3 std wet the camera and now the image is a little greenish. Which may be the problem, would be flat cable or the gimbal board.
Hei, my gimbal and the camera are pointing a little bit more to the left than the right. I wonder if this is something that you can fix in the menu and if this is normal?

Ok, do you know were I can find the settings ? Can you make a video about it?
+Haakon Ferdinand Sveia Danielsen I don't know off the top of my head. I'll see if I can find it and make a quick video about it if I can.
Thanks, it would really help, I really enjoy your videos 👍🏻
Mine broke the exact same way about an hour ago. Is there a way that you can check to see if the camera motor still functions or should you just replace the gimbal arm and ribbon cable and hope for the best?
Would you recommend gimbal flex flat cable from China ? Seems so fragile and wondering how reliable is not OEM one. Dou you have experiences guys? Does it works on not OEM one?
Great video. I'd mention that you have to pinch the flat grey wire in order to remove.
would this repair work with advance version?
+foxman362 it's VERY close to exactly the same, just a different ribbon cable I believe.
hey I have a problem I have a Phantom 3 4k drone and my drone be having a slight wobble in it. I bought several new propellers still the same issue. when it is setting down there's no wobble issues only whenever I flying do you think that's a mechanical issue or a software issue?

well done mate
The music! STOP THE MUSIC! I couldn't watch this for more than a few minutes, sorry.
I actually didn't mind it
Agreed, I stopped long enough to type this comment.
Yep. Music kinda ruins it. Off to the next video.
I'm a drummer and I can't take the music also....I really need to watch this but can't.
The gay music is great
:/ just crashed mine again lol. i am waiting for a new ribbon everything else seemed fine after inspection. im just hoping after i get it back together that i dont have to replace the camera but if i do im gonna put the pro camera on it as i understand it will also work on the standard.thanks for the video though it came in handy when removing the camera and the broken ribbon.
hi dude, its all right ?
before all, thanks for your video
Dude i'm from brasil and I having a issue to disassemble the phantom 3 pro camera (my flat was broke like you), it's look to be to harder to remove the camera after removing the main screw (like your video at 12:50) when i try to pull it looks harder do pull and i fear to broke that piace
I'm not sure, It was very easy to just slide off once I removed the screw. Does it look bent?
Same issue... Can't seem to find a solution
hi there I have the pro I've done the repair and when it turned on the thing goes crazy any ideas I'm getting motor overload ereor
+Kearean Mackenzie a lot of times people damage the position sensor in the repair.
JTO2GO WHAT SETTINGS YOU USE FOR VIDEO ON THE PHANTOM STANDARD? LOOKS GOOD.
+Overclocked Gamer it's 2.7k at 30fps or 24fps depending on the day and lighting conditions.
Ok,cool that's how I just set it just got the standard and I did your tablet inspired mount now ima do the Argeteck WiFi thing awesome thank you man great video's always watch them...
+Overclocked Gamer awesome man. I appreciate the support! I promise I'll be making more again soon.
Definitely anytime thanks buddy.
start at the other END (CAM first) and its much more simple
wish I knew this 2 hours ago😂
I broke my gimbal on my phantom 3 pro, so i bought a new gimbal and camera from ebay but I bought the wrong one. I bought a phantom 3 advanced gimbal and camera and I was wondering if I can take the 4k camera off of the broken gimbal and put it on the one that I just bought that is new? Thanks for your help, Patrick.
+xforceguy I'm not sure man, sorry
Thats a negative xforceguy. The advanced camera is a 2.7k and thus has a different ribbon cable, different gimbal mainboard than the pro/4k.
Did you run into a problem with the screws being different sizes and types when you went to put it all back together? +Threading Yeti it should work, I haven't had anyone else come to me with your same issue. How hard have you tugged on it?
JTO2GO enough you pull it off
JTO2GO is there something I'm missing?
Can you confirm if that's a roll or yaw motor that you replaced? 9:15
You sir are a technician's technician! I wish I knew why all motors turned off in flight with over half a charge on the battery. I need the same fix.

Helpful. But I feel like you fast-forwarded through some critical parts.

+Sean Purnell hmm, I'd go through again and make sure all your ribbon cable connections are correct, especially check the one for the motor. Possibly look at the position sensors and see if there is any damage as well. Other than that I'm not sure.
Okay, thanx. Cool video by the way.
One last thing, what if it's giving me a gyroscope error? does that point to anything specific?
+Sean Purnell I'm not sure off the top of my head. You'll have to do some digging in some forums.
I've got the exact same problem as you. Did you ever find a solution?
hey so I just crashed my P3S and the drone itself is fine but the gimble broke off the gimble mount and the mount is cracked... the flex cable is fine but the other 2 wires are snapped in half. do you know if you can buy just those cables cause that and the gimble mount are all thats really wrong
+Nathaniel Kibler I'm not sure what two wires you're talking about that aren't in the ribbon cable?
JTO2GO 3:38 in this vid the gray and black wires... mine are cut in half....
+Képes János Possibly the sensor got damaged or the actual motors.
+JetFalcon sounds like you need a new ribbon cable
did you solder them on ? did it work ? mine is the same way - the black and grey cable ripped out of the plug - the ribbon cable is ok .... i was wondering if i can just solder those on ?
Just a hint when removing the plastic clips that hold on the gimble. You push the clip back down onto the shaft and leave it for 10 seconds then pull it back up and it will come right off.
Thank you for the video. I used your link for the parts I need and will be watching the video again when my parts come in the mail so I don't break it even more. lol
lol life saver bro forgot where the black and gray wire was lol
isn't the ribbon cable copper?
Okay I how the two arms is there another arm I need? I feel like im missing one
Scratch that i am a dummy Ive get it thanks haha
I'm at 12:52 (where you remove the camera), but my camera won't come off. I removed the screw, but it still won't budge.
Help!
I need help I i crashed my dji phantom 3 standard and saw that d gimbal flex cable split in half and when i opened d dji go app the camera would'nt move and it was all dark i bought a flex cable replacement and when i installed it it still did'nt work if u got any suggestions please comment i would highly ippreciate that
can I set up a 4k camera on my p3 standard???
+Roberto Febles I don't think so. I believe the Phantom 4k also has more powerful onboard computers to handle the 4k.
thanks I'm just trying to avoid upgrade to a p4 pro
+Roberto Febles you're welcome.
Very good video, but you should watch how you hold the boards since you don't have anti-static mat
+Alex Dumitrescu good point, although where I live the humidity rately falls below 50% so there is a much smaller risk of static.
*Dont use this for 4K cameras*. You 'need' to start at the camera end for that version. The ribbon connector inside to the camera will never allow that wind and is a lot tighter fit and use the screw hole on the opposite side to mount camera to shaft . Yes I found out the hard way. Good video though..
what's a good way to protect the Gimbal?

can you use this cam gimble with rc car?
That sinking feeling when you crash. Now I know the pain. 😑
No , you just know that after crash a drone that is not yours, and you have to fix it when you don't know how
Look at your video at 13:15-13:20 (and also at 13:49) and note the rather large gap above the ribbon cable connector.
+Mike McCarthy hmm interesting, I'll have to take a look later today
Another (messier) way would be to drill a small hole in the pivot arm cover directly over the cable lock to allow access to the lock without removing the cover. A hole in that location would be harmless, but who likes to drill holes????
+Mike McCarthy haha I don't mind drilling holes... As you can tell by one of my other videos.
Where's the link to order the parts ?
+Roger Kincaid should be in the description
do you have any idea of the total time it took you to repair it? You must have the patience of a saint!
+Robert Schwartz under 2 hours if you aren't filming.
JTO2GO....I need to order a part not sure...I have a pic and a question....do you have a business email address? Thank you!
Great job !
hi my friend, my dji pahntom 3 crashed and now in the app i cannot pan anymore, how do i fix this
This music is so distracting. listen, this tutorial is great and all, but you speed it up at the wrong times. Also you need to get right to the point. the actual tutorial doesnt start until later on in the video.
Also as a side note, THIS TUTORIAL DOES NOT WORK WITH DJI PHANTOM 3 PROFESSIONAL
thanks you so much. u help me alot !!
My camera isn't moving. it works but I can't control it. Do I need this?
+Abdul Shareef not sure, sounds like it could be a motor or something
I realize this is an old thread but all the focus for the repair is on the camera nothing was said about checking the motors from the sudden stop of hitting a tree I know if one motor is dragging and you put it up in the air it will come back down found that out the hard way
THANKYOU FOR SAVING ME $300+ !!!
I went through this step by step and when I went to test it the camera freaks out and the app says gimbal motor overload. Any ideas?
+Michael Holz I'm not sure, is it possibly you damaged one of the circuit boards?
Probably to old now. When this happened to me during my gimbal rebuild it was because I installed the camera on the motor 180 degrees out of phase with encoder. You would have to remove the cable again remove the screw that holds the camera to the shaft. Rotate the motor magnet body 180 degrees and re fasten the screw.
Sir my I crashed my phantom 3 standard and the camera jump in the water what do I do ?
lol the broken gimball in the thumbnail looks exactly like mine
same
It's hard to make an instructional video, The music was not distracting to me.
Viewers, enjoy his effort and information, stop criticizing.
You can be critical when you produce a better quality instructional video. Until then shut up and enjoy the information.
Apakah bisa kamera drone jadi gimbal hand like dji osmo pocket
Can any one tell me what to do to my phantom 3 pro in oder to get video to
so it's basically a gamble, you don't know if the camera is still operable when you buy through parts?!
I didn't have any fears that the camera wouldn't work in my situation. I guess you'd have to evaluate how damaged the camera is and decide if it's worth attempting to fix.
Never works once ribbon breaks
Tbh I'd of just plastiwelded or superglued it back together lol, but hell of a job fixing it the right way.
That whole gimbal assy seems like a pain in the ass.
back round music is distracting. but video has some good points to it
