It's so nice to have alternative yes ☺️ brother your designed and ur visions are exemplary ideas actually I'm amazed with your talents..we are half homeless too we live in a Van for 2 years im.tryinng to connect with people 😀 you will help us to get a small motor homes. My husband is handy man and out-of work im kind of tired also looking a second ✋️ Rv motor home. So hoping one day we will get one Thanks for sharing and God blessed 🙌
Finally seeing a bathroom sink that is at a reasonable height to avoid hunching over. And genius idea to have the bathroom sink pipe run to the shower to drain.
I would like to first say Congradulations on your 10 year clean, God bless you and look what you also accomplished. 🙏🎉🎉 we are so proud of your minute by minute preservation (at times), and we will pray for a long clean life .your rig is great and your dad helping on the plumbing super. Lots of love to you and your family, and wish I had your build myself 👍🥰👏
Clean and sober is hard y'all so both of you great job! Not an easy valley to get out of or mountain to climb! I love your build sir. Very clean and simple with all the needs. If i had enough money I would gladly buy that from you! If i get money you're hired!
Congratulations on getting and staying sober and on getting a good job! I wish you the best and hope you find a good buyer for your beautiful home on wheels.
I so agree with you! Nothing better than having a comfortable shower to refresh with either first thing in the morning or after a long day of work! Most important part of the build for me. Nice comfortable build! Congratulations on being over 10 years sober!
You mentioned going to Sacramento for parts. If you're in the Northern California area, during the winter, early spring time- head out towards Donner Summit/Truckee area for a weekend. You'll be able to use your fireplace out there. Great build and congratulations on your 10yr sobriety!
I think everyone commenting negatively about the build is forgetting what the whole lifestyle is about! I think it's great and love that it's unique from most others!
First congratulations on your sobriety. That is one of the simplest nicest THOW that I have seen. Minimalist and everything needed for everyday life. I’m so glad to see you made space for a toilet and shower. Awesome Build
I’m building a custom trailer. I’m also 10 years sober and in my 4th year of owning my own business. My plan is to live in it full time, have everything too run my business, be able to travel at will and have everything too survive whatever might come in the future. Having everything you need in one unit is a blessing.
Great idea using those metal utility shelves like that! If you installed them upside down, you might not need bungee cords because there'd be a built -in lip on the shelves. 💡
A word of caution from a former interior designer. Some bamboo flooring products made overseas and sold in US were discovered to be toxic due to the adhesives and / or formaldehyde used in mfg.. Thus they emit toxic VOCs. You can check with your supplier or research by brand name/country of origin to determine that your material is safe. Or better yet, there are also testing labs that you should be able to mail a sample to, who will test for a fee.
I love it. Super interested. I live in Jersey. Rent is super high. So happy that you were able to build yourself a little home when you needed . Be proud of yourself. Life takes us into some crazy places. God bless
This is pretty much what I want. I been Van Life living for over 3 months now and I love it. My space is small though. I like the freedom I have financially. I basically bought a Honda Odyssey and just made minor adjustments with it to make it livable. Now I’m able to book trips, eat well and still make necessary repairs when needed to the van. I will be getting me a box truck from Uhaul soon enough after I’m able to save about $4000-$5000. I can’t wait!!!
This got better and better as it went! Love it so much!! Haven't seen a box truck as nice as that before! Come to Ontario, Canada and we'll use that stove.
Wow so super inspiring! I've got 6 years sober and although I can't reverse the past, I can build a new future. Stepping out in so much faith to go on a tiny-house-on-wheels adventure soon!
First things first.. Kudos to being clean, sober and being in control of your own destiny🙏💪I LOVE this truck and wish I could buy it!!! The bamboo flooring is gorgeous, whole layout so organized and well thought out…and the Mad Max front feel is awesome example of thinking outside the box👍I hope whoever buys this takes care of it and appreciates the time, effort and love put into this home on wheels. Good luck on all your future projects and keep fighting for yourself and all the good things you deserve in this life👍☺️
Congratulations on 10 years!! I just came up on 2 years clean & sober in February & April 03 I will have 26 months! Don’t forget it’s always One Day at a Time! Going to AA meetings helps a lot, but whatever ur doing to maintain your sobriety keep it up! #WeDoRecover #Progress #NotPerfection
This is one of the nicest builds. Clean and uncluttered. The shelves are perfect and consistent bins would still make it look that way!. Sitting area and a tucked away bed! Honestly, I wouldn't want a bed as my sitting area. Smart design.
It’s pretty self contained the way you have it laid out. I agree with you on the shower size. It’s pretty awesome. I was looking for something to convert but I had to much negativity from my husband so I bought an Ford SUV. I figured I could get a trailer or toy hauler and convert it someday. Looks great!
You have done a great job on the camper. Life is for living, its great that you have been a overcomer with life issues and are reaping the rewards, may your life be full with good things and and much joy.
Cool! I have a mover truck that I converted too. I live in Cali too. I burn wood a lot. Was nervous at firdt but I’ve never been bothered. I just would get a bigger fire stove because mine is tiny. I have to chop wood to fit in it. However sometimes just shrubs etc. Do the trick if it’s not that cold. Nice work!!
James. It appears this build out was a labor of love. Thanks for sharing part of your personal story. Super congratulations on your sobriety. This is a really cool build out. Congratulations on all the above you should be very proud of yourself.!
This is frigging unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!........you did a beautiful outstanding job!!!!!!!!!!!......and much much much respect for 10 years clean !!!!!!!!...
Love this extremely simple & clean approach. Appreciate all the varieties of what people do, but this is generally what I ended up doing with my cargo trailer in 2016 - basic, easy, reliable, but still nice clean materials. And as everyone else is saying, love this guy. Would be friends ASAP. And hey, greetings from Alaska!
You are a genius, everything is so nice and neat. Clean may I add and such simplicity. You are living your best life, keep it up forever. Greater things are to come for you. You are a great teacher too, gifted with much simplicity yet greatness. I’m sure II’ve watched a million tiny house shows-yours stands out from the rest. I must use some of your ideas as I become a Granny Vaner❤
Dang, wish I would have seen this a year ago. I'm retired and would love the "toy hauler" functionality of it. Plus, in the 80's I stayed in my parents camper in their driveway in the winter. I slept in the top bunk because the heater couldn't keep the rest warm enough. So that also would have been perfect for me, especially since I ride a motorcycle too.
Very nice safe haven. That year of measuring, thinking, and observing paid off well. Nice job! I'm so happy that you took control of your destiny with getting clean and staying clean. Now you can live large with great satisfaction.
Looks like you have plenty of room under your box to put some tool storage and spare building supplies? While you are at the salvage yards look around for some tool boxes. You could even store the wood stove and those walls under there, freeing up some interior space for a Mr Cool AirCon unit? I think the way you did the shelves in there helps prevent pests from getting too comfortable! There are some soft bins with angled lids that can fit on those shelves so you can give your girl some storage space too! Nicely done!
That is beautiful. Congratulations. 1st. That’s an amazing work. I wish I could do something like that. Really enjoyed the video. Thanks. I always camp with tents with my kid. Someday not too far I will afford some like that
Earth Roamer wants like a million dollars and this guy did it for like 10-20K. He wins every single time in my book! AND 10 years clean and sober, genuinely well done dude! Inspirational stuff!
it's for sale? man, i wish i was in a position to buy it. it's a beautiful home. there are so many good parts to this tiny home (full size shower, big water capacity, etc). My favorite part of the whole vehicle - the wood stove. again, i would buy this, if i had the cash. love it!
Great remodel on the Uhaul van. I often wonder how I would redo a van this size and your video has answered all those questions. I wish you all the best on your next project and look forward to seeing more of your work. Thanks again.
The rack is a great idea! I'm trying to think of a good way to carry a spare tire and a truck box on my bus without cutting the AC out. This might work, just interested in how you did it
That rig is awesome! The only change I would have made was lower the fridge chest and piano hinge additional countertop space that I could flip up out the way.
Most excellent. My dream
We hope you live out this dream!
@@TinyHomeTours as far as tools go, did you use anything out of the ordinary? Any special tool buys you had to make?
Nothing out of the ordinary. Just a tablesaw and chopsaw pretty much. Occasionally used the jigsaw as well.
@@jimmypiper1981. Where did you fill your 46 gallon water tank every week?
@@jimmypiper1981. Also, how long is the floor of the box? 16’?

10 years and the fridge is empy as it was brandnew, and 0 closet and no clothes 🤷♂️
Finally seeing a bathroom sink that is at a reasonable height to avoid hunching over. And genius idea to have the bathroom sink pipe run to the shower to drain.
Love how open clean and uncluttered it feels with no cabinet doors or plumbing. I love your innovative thinking.
It’s clean cause he doesn’t live there anymore
@@jadedavis822 He never did
That bathroom sink drain into the shower is genius!
Agreed! VERY SMART
They do it in asia all the time

Congrats on your sobriety, I've just celebrated 5 years clean and sober. Great job on your build, love it!
Mama, when did Ben Franklin invent electricity? 🤔

At last a conversion for minimalists. So many have every space chock full of stuff or storage cabinets for more stuff. I love this truck.
"This is my fireplace, I haven't used it!" Love that line delivery 😂
I do what I can 😆🤝
@@jimmypiper1981 how much are you selling it for?
In California you'd probably stand a better chance of getting away with cooking drugs than using that wood burner . 🎟 😂
Congratulations on getting and staying sober and on getting a good job! I wish you the best and hope you find a good buyer for your beautiful home on wheels.
So proud of your being clean and sober. Taking care of yourself. Making good decisions. Love your build out. Very pretty, spacious and uncluttered

Upside down won't work because of the tappered plastic locks.
Great work! If you ever want to go bigger, your solar/conversion set up will take good care of a bigger place!
You should be very proud of that awesome rig and of overcoming your past struggles! 👍👍Best of luck in your future!
You should consider putting a pop in countertop over the woodstove. Cut a U for around the pipe to get you some extra counter space…
