tedmaster82 yeah my only thing is that the snares new it’s like 30 of em so they should have played lower so they could play better in time but it was still straight
David Martin that's a watered down version of TxSU Funk Train 33/30. And they've been playing probably since Tracy Shivers' era just after 1974. It is not an N. O. Cadence. Both of these Drum sections took it from Funk Train about 5 years ago.
David Martin there are clips of Alcorn and Talladega anywhere else playing it. They play it because they both lifted it from TxSU Funk Train and play it regularly now.
David Martin and they both don't even play the whole thing because they watered it down. Just because they are in New Orleans doesn't mean they are doing New Orleans things. New Orleans did not create marching band amongst hbcus.
Firstly Alcorn ain’t still shit from y’all 5 years ago. Secondly it does sound a lot like y’all shit, I said that as soon as I heard it. But didn’t y’all drum instructor borrow that from Howard Uni. You might wanna go talk to him about that.
Cool. That's whassup. No beef, just drums. I can dig it.
That'll work dega, and alcorn.. respect.
Nice cadence....not too hard....but I guess they had a short time to learn it. Cool seeing them playing together.

Not a big fan of the snare tuning of most SWAC . Raise the snares up a little. Great work though
It’s their style. And not all swac school are that style. Prairie view, bama state, and Texas southern are different styles.
This snare tuning sounds way better than that high tension shit besides it would never work with there style
ASU just hit an all-time low by even joining in lol ......thank God I'm WT
That was tite!
WT would smash them both joined together.
alcorn yes but dega would give them a run
