@@lazurusredd8682 neither one was very good and this coming from a former T.O.P section leader(1977-1982)i am the writer of numerous candences that stands the test of time(T.O.P)PROGRESSION is good but those originals hit a lot better.
Both units were well rehearsed and demonstrated stick control. There was little flaming, more in Alcorn than SU, however, Alcorns had steps and movement whereas SU didn't I'll call it Alcorn by a splinter
Been saying these SWAC drum lines need to convert to tonals so they can create better cadences. Almost every SWAC and SIAC drumline sounds the exact same, no kind of diversity in their cadences because of those one dimensional basses.
Need to realize there is a difference between keeping it old school Vs new Hybrid rudiments. From what your comment is saying your more use to Hybrid rudiments Vs old school! SWAC Drumlines are not garbage you just don’t understand the difference of what the styles are. Might want to read into your history. Otherwise you want hybrid rudiments look at BCU, PV, Norfolk State, NC A&T etc. otherwise know your difference in styles!
RIP Ty
SU was way cleaner...but that one quint player for Alcorn was doing his thing
SU got that. Alcorn looked and sounded like a high school
Don't be fooled su drumline was mediocre at best also

It was very close percussion battle so a tie to me as a former member of MDFS I need more to judge from but anyway good battle.
W VIDEO
STOP THIS MADNESS NOW!
Should read high school drumline show. Swac drumlines are so elementary
Bethune and FAMU are SWAC now and I would advise none of these other SWAC teams to challenge them (besides PV, they’re pretty good)
Damn you took the words from me. Two of the WORST SWAC drumlines, hot garbage! I had to make sure I didn't tap high school video
Swac is different style . Chops wise Norfolk State would run through everyone.
