I don't understand why this food isn't as famous as Italian or Mexican food in the states, it's definitely my favorite right now! Lomo saltado is something that every American should try, very delicious.
thank you so much for your review! this is my aunt’s restaurant and i’m actually the one in charge of the designs 😅 so thank u for the compliments on the menu 😅😅 to explain a bit about the chinese cuisine similarities: peru has the highest index of asian immigration in latin america, (it started in the late 19th century with chinese and japanese immigrants seeking work) and because of this a lot of the modern cuisine of lima is actually a fusion. oh! and about the coffee! it’s a single origin coffee that’s harvested in the central jungle of peru. the town it comes from is called Villa Rica, a place known for its award winning coffee. Our family is actually from a small town that’s an hour away from Villa Rica 😅
You're welcome! 😁 It's great to hear more about the background of your aunt's restaurant. The fusion of Chinese and Peruvian cuisine in Lima sounds fascinating, and it's wonderful to see how different cultures can come together to create something special. The single origin coffee from Villa Rica is also very interesting. It's fantastic that your family has a connection to the region known for its award-winning coffee. The story behind the coffee adds another layer of authenticity to the experience your restaurant offers.
wow this place looked amazing! i’ve never had peruvian food before! was surprised to see they do stir fries and rice dishes! thanks for showing us this little gem of a place! 😻😻❤️
I love that you expose us to cuisines we would never have a chance to experience or acknowledge. A beautiful blend of cultures from all over the world right here in America!
I want to thank you for sharing this wonderful experience ! I love how you support small business owners! That food looked amazing! I can't wait for the next episode! 😊❤

@@JasonWasTHERE he was an excellent chef anyway he worked on many cruise ships and he was from Peru. His food was excellent. The only thing I did not eat and he knows it. They eat a lot of organs from meats..

Love that you are a spicy fan. My oldest sister grows some of the best and hottest peppers every year. She travels a bit north of NJ to pick up her seeds, which come from numerous countries. How I wish I could cater for you just once.
Chef Paz in West Allis is Peruvian. Their menu has a lot of similar dishes as well as the "purple drink" that you talked about. * Truth be told, I've never been there, but I want to try it even more so after watching this. 😂
lol I was gonna say I'm in Cali about 20 minutes west of Yaamava. Theres a yummy place called Mr. Pollo in West covina thats really good just in case you wanted some peruvian the next time you hit up the casino

You didn't complain about them not giving you serving spoons. You had to use your fork and tilt your plate for the sauce. You said you would have preferred white meat chicken but they asked you what you preferred. How can you recommend a coffee you haven't even tried. You need to be more consistent in your reviews.
I believe I’m very consistent with my reviews. I have nothing against being served meat instead of chicken, it's not the end of the world. I can tilt my plate to grab some sauce! 🙄
@JasonWasTHERE but at other places you mention all plates positioned in different directions or servers serving on the wrong side. So I guess you could just turn the plate yourself. It's not the end of the world but you should judge "all" restaurants by the same standards.
Jason I agree, When a family runs there business, most times they are amazing. My father kept us busy from morning til night. In busy season. My father was like you. He took us to many places. And taught us to work hard. Sometimes it was tough. But worth every memory. 🍛🍝🥮💗🥂

Next time you eat Peruvian, ask for Aji Verde sauce.
Is it a sweet or spicy sauce? Thanks for the suggestion.
