I grew up watching Sesame Street in the early 2000s and when I have kids, I hope to God that the show will still be around so my kids and their kids and so on will be able to watch it. It's such a great show for kids. Keep going Sesame Street!
Allison Tran Don’t push it! Sesame Street has been on a lot of tight budgets and did a lot of casting changes, so I think it’ll get canceled for good around the mid Season 50s
50 years! Congratulations Seasame Street, this show and The Electric Company made up about all the tv my siblings and I were allowed to watch!... you know back in the old days when everyone only had one television set in their home! What an incredible legacy.
Sonia devoted most of her life to children's entertainment, diversity acceptance/ awareness, and education. Such a sweet soft voice that children can easily relate to. We'll always love Maria.
They're celebrating it for the entire fiscal year of 2019, because the show only does a few episodes per season anymore due to the back catalog of segments recorded that are repurposed for each new episode, sparring any new material utilized for the main bulk of the program, interspersed with the reused segments.
I also remember another sesame street segment where big bird took care of an egg that belonged to a bird named miss twiggy bird and when it started to hatch, big bird thought it was broken and he tried to put it back together. then someone (I think it was bob) came along and told him the egg was hatching
When my one year old was 3 months and cried a lot and no matter what nothing worked so I said I’ll give elmos works a try and as soon as Elmo started talking she sat still and I said she found her bestfriend and of course she’s one now and she knows a lot of the muppets I’m so glad this show is around and it sure brought memories back to me when I was younger and getting into the show
Alan is my favourite human on Sesame Street. Alan is actually the person who insipred me to act and one day i do hope i get to be on sesame street as one of the adults on there. but my favourite monsters on Sesame Street is Elmo and Murray and Julia. i love Sesame Street. but in my time as a stage actor i was also one of the humans on Avenue Q and that place is weird but the Monsters there are so nice and weird
Sesame Street is the only show my 1.5 year-old watches. Thanks for all the educational and entertaining content. Tuna or egg? I'll have the tuna please, no egg. No tuna.
I remember a lot of sesame street segments from the 1970s. one I like is called "mrs Wilson's garden" where a girl named jenny went to visit her mom's friend, mrs Wilson, who had a big garden behind her house. another one I like is one where big bird wondered what it would be like if his name were sweet patootie and if nests were called dumdeedingles and if books were called tomatoes.

The surveillance system in America got corrupted by seriously stupid employees of mine who didn't know who their boss was. That was the stupidest move I've ever seen by men whose careers are dependent upon them passing their exam. Not one passed yet. That's the most shocking part. I had assumed maybe forty percent would have no problem passing and another forty percent would be coached into passing. But no. Zero percent passed,I can wait for the final inspection to bring back my partners oversight results and the tallies once we weigh out the ropes and wood for the gallows. Maria and Alan have always been two of my favorite adults on Sesame Street, along with Bob
RIP Bob

Who thumbed down this? I think this person could learn from Sesame Street the lesson of kindness.
