      Thanks Kevin, very kind of you. Gotta love that XT2 on a gimbal!

    This was love. What camera setup do you use for videos?

    • @photowalk.podcast
      @photowalk.podcast  6 років тому

      A kind of mix to be honest, favouring Fujifilm's X-T2 for all movement. I did lock off a 5DmkIV for the interior talk to camera. THanks for the kind comment.

      Neale James didn’t you find the focus of the X series a bit too slow for movement? I have an X-T20 and not too happy with the focus speed? What settings do you use?

    • @photowalk.podcast
      @photowalk.podcast  6 років тому

      Hey Shahraiz, I tend to film using manual focus, so I can't say this has been an issue.

    • @stabassam
      @stabassam 6 років тому

      Neale James woah. How do you use manual focus for video where there’s movement going on?

    • @photowalk.podcast
      @photowalk.podcast  6 років тому +2

      Pre-focus according to where you know/think the action is going to be. I'm not shooting shallow, so a lot of the composition will be in focus. OR... it it's a static camera position, simply focus with a slightly shallower dof on what you are filming. Remember that prior to all this amazing ability to track focus etc, field camera teams had been shooting doc stuff with manual focus for years :-)

    Really enjoying the quality of your videos Neale. What a great subject as well. Having done my very first UA-cam video today I realised how hard it is - and how far I have to go!

    This is a great film Neale. I'm going to point a few of my clients to this page if that's alright with you. It says a lot of what I already tell people, especially about the feel of paper and getting obsessed with that. Nicely done...

      Thanks Jason, really kind of you to comment. And for sure, point some clients to the film - we're all in this together and if we can get folk to really subscribe to how precious paper is... that's gotta be a good thing! Good to hear from you. Neale

    Love your stuff Neale, as you know. But this one I could not get past 3:10 because the rhythm track drove me away.
    I felt like I was in one of those trendy restaurants where to make sure you are REALLY enjoying yourself they have to hammer you with annoying non-focused background music which: raises your heart level, increases your blood pressure and leaves you, or at least me, feeling assaulted.
    I don't know who started this trend in videos, but they have my permission to cease and desist.
    Your work is of the caliber that it does not need to be augmented by a sound track.
    Is it really distracting OR am I simply tooooooo old!?
    Best regards
    Thomas
