Come on, that's a broad statement. It's ALWAYS wrong to hurt a child, but there are different levels of hurting someone.
Then there's postpartum depression along with myriad other mental illnesses....and situations that we are not in.
Trust me, I'm all for prison and long sentences for harming someone, but the level of violence and the situation surrounding what happened matters.
But not with any of these women They should be in prison for life

The pastor in the second one did not have a command of the Bible. He was a bully and a liar. Postpartum psychosis is real and a real pastor would have helped this woman to receive the help she desperately needed. Horrible! (I know because I lived it.) And she should have NEVER been allowed to be with her children without her medication.

in the first story, i'm just mind blown as to why the father didn't involve himself in the lives of the kids after leaving. like bro, leave the woman, ok fine. but why the kids too? or i'm sure she wouldn't have objected to sending them off with dad. what a joke. both parties are guilty in my eyes. it's the parent's job to protect their kids, even from the other parent. he failed them. it was obvious before he left, the lady had some issues and was overwhelmed. i blame them both.

unfortunately for some of the kids involved, !he women make it near impossible for the men to be a part of the kids lives. Sometimes I guess they come to the conclusion that they cant deal with the ex anymore...and I can appreciate that, for sure.

@@truecrimequeen75Sometimes that’s the case. But often the men just don’t want the responsibility. Some women go out of their way to bring the kid to the fathers and they can’t be bothered even then. Yes. I was told he shouldn't have to pay support because children don't have bills! Not so much as a pencil for school. But he was buying himself leather jackets, expensive shoes, new cars, etc. And show up late, when he showed up , and wearing his new stuff. Pathetic! My sacrifices and teaching by buying the gifts for my children to give him, helped give them a chance to share time and have relationships with their Dad. Now they see. But it was hard!

Well that's exactly why I didn't have kids. I knew I wasn't mentally stable enough. After going through everything I've gone through, I knew I was not cut out for motherhood. That being said, it's also up to the men to not release inside of women that they know they don't want to stay with, who they don't want to be the mother of their children. Both sides are responsible. If a man knows he cannot be a protector and a provider or, and a woman know she cannot be a protector in a nurturer; they need to do everything possible to avoid procreation.

For real. I have a 3 year old boy that is autistic and doesn’t sleep more than 4 hours in a 24 hour period. He’s too young for medication. I’ve been so tired at times I’d just scream and cry.
But I always went in another room and came back to try and soothe him.
He was 6 weeks early, had horrible acid reflux. Very colicky. And I never ever ever ever once wanted to hurt him.
I have a plethora of mental issues and after I had him i immediately made sure I had therapy lined up.
But Covid happened. I had no help. My husband owns a business and works 12-15 hour days. Luckily on the weekends he’d let me sleep all day on Sunday’s. Having a support system is so important. I ONLY have his dad and I haven’t slept in 3 years but I still love that little boy. Even if he has 3-4 hour tantrums and only sleeps fours hours a night. 😂😂😂❤❤❤ I still love watching him grow and learning his personality and cues as he’s nonverbal. Yes our laws can be pretty shocking, having said that as a fellow Australian & have studied basic laws in social work, we were taught that Australian laws follow England laws & American laws aren’t much better. But you do have to remember which isn’t stated most the time is in Australia if someone does get a high sentence like 15-20yrs that is still based on the parole board, it’s not a straight out sentence where when they get to that 15-20yrs they just walk out, they have to present their case to a parole board to ask for parole & prove they’re not a risk to society & show some empathy towards what they’ve done. We never give out so called life sentences in Australia but that’s not to say people will get parole ever, people do spend their lives in jail sometimes. Also when they are finally able to apply for parole if they’re denied it’s usually years later that they’re even able to apply again as it’s a big process

I was on my own with three children when my ex left for another woman, my youngest was only 2 months old. We had just found out he had a heart condition. I had postnatal depression and was developing an eating disorder. All three of my children have autism and my 2 older boys also have ADHD and not once through all this would I hurt my children. I would sometimes be in a heap crying on the floor but never hurt them! I love all four of my children with every bit of me and I can't understand these people.

The first case was too much for me.
I’m in debt and raising my two nieces ages 9 and 5, and my 2 year old nephew who were victims of abuse and neglect by their mother. I’m kind of a bitter person, I don’t like children, I love getting locked in my room and not come out for hrs, that was until I got custody of the kids. It is very hard at 23 years old waking up with such responsibilities over night and having to care for kids, it’s tough for all of us but every night I put them to sleep my heart melts, I know it’s all worth it and I get over any negative feelings, I love those kids. I can’t even fathom or comprehend how could a MOTHER, someone who carried each baby inside her, she went through pain when giving birth, the kids are an extension of her, how could she do that, specially when they’re sleeping and they’re most vulnerable and specially over MONEY. Now that beautiful young girl has not only lost her father, but her mother and brothers. I just can’t 😣

I think majority of child Ab*se cases stem from fathers leaving, and not being present or fighting for their kids. These mothers begin to despise and resent their children because of the father being absent.
We see so many cases where a child has been murdered and the dad wants to pop out of the bushes and cry a river. Saying the mother did “allow” contact or ignore calls and visits - but a real man knows they can use the court system to their advantage. And they don’t.

But sometimes being dead is better than dealing with aftereffects of having to be with a monster

What makes it appalling about the last story is that her mom looked like she was ready to care for the baby but she seemed relactant. Smh....

After my third pregnancy I thought i was loosing my mind! The only way i could describe it was like a horrible, constant grey, while feeling like the boogie man was after me. But the worst of it was this constant guilty feeling for everything! It was just horrible.
long story short i found out i have a thyroid issue. so when my hormones drop after pregnancy it sends it into craziness!
i had this 2 out of 4 pregnancy.
I have to say that I’m not sure what i would/could have done if the dr didn’t catch it almost by mistake. It’s hard to even put into words how awe full of it was.

I will never understand why parents don't give their children into other suitable environments if they can't or don't want to care of their kids. Killing those beautiful, innocents is just incomprehensible to me.

In some cases these women are suffering from Postpartum Psychosis. They are out of their minds and don't know it. They behave completely out of their normal personality. The have lost touch with reality! The need treatment and hospitalization....I know someone this happened to... Luckily her family realized early on that something was wrong with her and took her to the hospital, which admitted her immediately. She stayed in hospital for several months and they found a medication that controlled her thinking. Brought her back into reality. She/we were very, very lucky she got treatment before anything tragic happened to her precious little guy. It's easy to sit in judgement until something like this happens to someone very close to you.

@@lorienniss8711 Your friend was very lucky to have an amazing support system with friends and family. I am sorry if my comment offended and sounded judgemental. Have a nice day and all the best to your friend

Dina should not have had her children. She reminds me of Andrea Yates, though that case was even worse because she asked for help.
That father is lucky he only left her alone with one child, or he may not have any.
Postpartum Psychosis is no joke, it can be EXTREMELY fast onset and having any history of it is enough of a reason that doctors will allow you to have your tubes tied.
These hunky dory husbands who don't take psychosis seriously aren't honouring G-d, they are PLAYING G-d.
    It is so tragic.
