Many artist/performers can execute a musical composition with well rehearsed practice….and then there are those few that live the the composition and release its soulfulness to a point that can make an angel or demon fall into complete awe. This is true for me listening to this….
On first hearing, I was reminded of Hotel California, on the one hand, and Paco de Lucia on the other. It's come a very long way from the Animals mega-hit song circa 1965... Wow !!
On *second* hearing, I'm reminded of the duo John McLaughlin / Paco de Lucia from the 80's. It's wonderful, but I wish just for once you could have sung a verse or two. So what next? : Hotel California?? I prefer you guys playing jazz or manouche. Respect.
I was at " la place des arts" of Montreal sometime in 1984 with both of them and Al Dimeola during the memorable " friday night in San Francisco" era along with the famous mediterranean sundance.
Synchronized soloing...I'm noticing a lot of these newer guitar heroes do that when playing together, and I've never heard that in older school music, is it just me or is the overall skill level increasing?

Vielleicht mal über den Tellerrand schauen ... kann helfen, das Denken in Schubladen zu überwinden.
