Girl, it’s workkkk! Lol. I miss the ease of locs, but I’m also really enjoying my loose natural hair. I wish there was a way to mesh the best of both worlds. 😂
14 years is a LONG TIME!!! It's surprising that you would still miss your loose hair, being so long removed from it! I know the struggle my loose hair was. Plus, mine never looked that flattering on me. So. In it for the long haul. Even taking a self maintenance class to learn to do my reties! Wish me luck!!!🤗😉😘
I knew once I loc'd my hair that I'd be loc'd for life. well sometimes I do miss my natural hair but what I don't miss is the time I wasted in trying to duplicate UA-cam inspired styles and products that definitely did not work for me. I was thinking about cutting them off for a short style which also requires time that I just dont have right now. I was also thinking about starting over for a size slightly bigger since my perimeter doesn't appear to grow in my loc so in the back I have long thin locs and healthier fuller ones in the middle and front. I also think sister locs are adorable but If time barely permits for a retwist now, I know an appointment for sisterloc maintenance will be difficult. I'll be 4 years in January and I love this journey but sometimes, I miss the switch up. Different wigs, box braids and just the feeling of running my fingers through my hair.
I relate to this so much. I love the idea of sister locs but when I think about how long a retightening takes 🫠. And I do love the versatility of being a loose natural, but having locs will always have a place in my heart. No matter which one I choose, there’s work involved. I guess it’s just a matter of what works best in each season of life. Love the red in your hair btw! I’m such a scaredy cat when it comes to adding color. 😂
This is making want to take mine out I’ll be 2 yrs in 4 more months. I’m a cosmetologist and I just miss doing my hair/ curls. I colored mine a few times so I’m scared I won’t retain any length
I feel you on that. I haven’t done much with my hair since I’ve been a loose natural, but I LOVE having the option to. Lol. Fingers crossed you retain a lot of length. 🤞 ♥️
Love your videos! I've been loc'd for 1 year and was thinking about taking mine out to get them slightly smaller, but I may not do that. Your loose natural hair looks great! I sometimes miss having loose natural hair, but I DO NOT miss all of the work!!! Do you think you might loc again in the future?
Most definitely- actually thinking about Microlocs because I want maximum versatility when it comes to styling! And thanks so much for watching - much appreciated 💜
Youre so pretty ❤ i have been locked for 2 years and i want to comb them out. My fiance supports me. I feel like i need a new start im now 30 im pregnant with my 2nd child and im getting married now.
Wow, so many exciting things happening in your life! Blessings beautiful! I feel you on that - Fresh starts are necessary sometimes. And thanks so much for watching ♥️
Omg. The products 😩. Lol. Definitely not my favorite part of being a loose natural. But I’m still happy with my decision. Thanks for watching and supporting. 💕
Ahh, weekly?? I’m more of an every 2 weeks kinda girl. Lol🫣 but thankfully I did find a moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioner that’s been helping a lot. Thanks for watching beautiful! 💕
You're making me want to take mine down. I've been locked for 14 years and sometimes miss my loose hair...sometimes. I don't like to work though. 😅😂

Do you regret combing them out ?
Nope, Not at all. I prefer being a loose natural right now. ☺️

You have to wash it weekly with a moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioning

To blow dry my hair - about 15 - 20mins.
