You are a Smart young lady and you can obviously look at the Entire Picture of Life. Not everyone is Capable of that. You are Blessed to have Common Sense. 👍🙏
You are awesome! Hey everyone, Bria is also a brown belt in American Kenpo Karate and I was her instructor. Bria, I love how positive you are and such a motivator. Leadership all the way! Stay the way you are and keep pushing towards your goals. Much love and miss you lots. Also Happy early Birthday. (yes I still remember)
I drink a gallon of water, a cup of black coffee and fast all day. I only eat one meal a day when I get home. It helps me keep control of my weight and my money because I'm no longer going crazy at fast food restaurants or buying snacks at the truck stops.
Bria I drove over 45yrs with a Haz mat license with every endorsement without any accident, knock on wood. I was able to financially purchase houses, boats etc, the money wasn’t an issue. Importantly I was to experience area of California/Nevada/Oregon all on there dime. Lakes I never knew existed, over nights at PGE camp sites, hotels, Girl it was All good. I worked 4 days a week which I enjoyed the 3days off. Honestly the company I work for, people I met totally enjoyed. P.S. always take pictures, enjoy em later years 😊❤
You can park your truck at a planet fitness (or close by)and reset and then you also have 2400 places that you can shower at and get some exercise to make you feel better🚛🏃🏋️🚴
Green tea is excellent because of all the extra antioxidants and polyphenols in addition to the caffeine. Another wonderful green tea like herb is yerba mate. I love mate and dont drink it nearly enough, it has matteine in it as well which is a whole body kind of caffeine so its distributed rather than going all the to head like caffeine does. A little more than halfway through my crazy sleep deprived(hard to sleep when getting thrown against the walls in states like AZ and NM with my trainer gunning it 🤦🏼♂️) training. Your videos are timely with my situation and i thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting this out there. Thank you for your sobering advice on fatigue. I had a gung ho attitude going to just be tough as nails which has worked but im burnt now. Definitely mellowing out and stopping if need be to finish this however long it takes. You know the pressure of OTR reality though. Likely walking the path you did right now, thanks for sharing whats its like driving for Amazon, was warehouse before finally pursuing the CDL reality
I deliver diesel..I’m in and out of the truck, dragging the hose, climbing up/down equipment…I also lift weights, ride BMX and play football. That is pretty much what I do to help me stay in shape and decompress after work/on the weekends 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
When you have issues with the doors not closing just roll the trailer forward or back just a few inches or so trailer might me on a tilt or something. Little trick I learned over the years. Great videos
This was interesting and informative. I have a question about the trucks now a days. Do they have automatic transmissions now or are they primarily manual?
It's good to know you paid your dues OTR. Newbies need to realize your current gig is a dream job. Most driving jobs are not this good. I've been driving local B for 35 years. Telling a dispatcher you can't drive for lack of sleep is a not a valid excuse in the trucking world. You keep your mouth shut and suffer through it. (Do you think a surgeon cancels a surgery for lack of sleep?) My last moving violation in ANY vehicle was 1985. So i managed to survive through varied unfavorable circumstances. I must say you're the first female channel of any kind(including trucking) that doesn't use sexuality for views. How refreshing! I prefer the straight up fig bars(which are hard to find now) I also drink coffee for taste but not every day I respect your calm demeanor and straight approach.
Great advice :) Does amazon have their own truck gps navigation app? If not, what do you use? I know when I first started, that was the most stressful thing, although schneider does have a good navigation app.
Are you still doing college classes while doing trucking? I am currently in college and I would not mind doing local trucking also. That would be a dream come true.
Hello, I am enrolled in CDL school I was wondering what’s the process to apply for Amazon? Where did you apply? I do work at Amazon currently but when I’m checking on the app to apply I’m only seeing the TOM team but I think that may only be moving trailers in yard? Thanks appreciate any info.
I'm liking the videos so far! As a former OTR gone local myself there are a couple things i'm curious about. The first is you mentioned your truck had a 5th wheel button. I somehow had never heard of that. Any thoughts on a purely manual release vs. a button? The second is I see you drive a CNG truck. Is there any performance difference between that and a diesel? If you have the time to record it a truck tour would be great!
Thank you! On a lot of newer model trucks, there is a button you press from inside the cab that releases the fifth wheel from the trailer without having to pull the attached handle. The CNG tractors drive very differently as compared to a diesel-powered tractor.
Hey Bria, I wondered how I could start truck driving for Amazon? I don’t have any experience in trucking but I’m tired of being a cargo van driver doing 200 plus stops everyday. I know it’s a broad question but I have no idea where to start.
Schneider national.. she started with them just as I did.. but I recommend the local technical college CDL truck driver training.. you have more time, not as rushed through like with a mega carrier training school.. study as much as you can online for a few weeks before going there 🚛

You have a calm, but very effective way to motivate. I enjoy your interesting videos and todays "pep talk" was perfect!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it :)

Depends where you live. I've been driving for almost 4 years and the longest I've been gone from home was 4 days.
Very good

great video, do you have a set work schedule or is it a rotating schedule?
Thank you. I have a set schedule 👍

Are drivers subject to the same 12-hour daily cap as Amazon FC workers?
Do you often fall asleep behind the wheel as a trucker?

Bria, you are so beautiful.
Do you work for Amazon or a subcontractor?
All Amazon drivers work for contractors.
@@R32R38There are some that work directly with Amazon, but they're usually just moving trailers between nearby yards
