Here is the scoop on Zach's recommended online tool for bottleneck calculations (pc-builds) I went to that calculator to find it is inconsistent and not all that reliable, here is why: . I tested the calculator using different CPU's but with the same GPU (Graphics card - Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti) and screen resolution (2560x1440). Here is one inconsistency I found, CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D on CPU intense work creates a bottleneck of 15.5% CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D on CPU intense work creates a bottleneck of 29.9% ...yet, that calculator, for the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, recommends to change the CPU to the Ryzen 7 7800X3D (one of many recommended CPU's). Why would it do that when the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has a bottleneck higher for CPU intense work? . With more testing like this, I see that it is likely NOT possible to find a perfect match between the CPU and GPU for all work environments (General Tasks or CPU Intense or GPU Intense). Depending on the work environment, you may find the CPU and GPU combination is perfect while in other environments it has a bottleneck. So based on that, I would choose the practical way, which is to see if I can get the lowest bottleneck for the environment that I mostly use the computer for. For me, since I recently built my PC using the Ryzen 7 CPU above, I get 12.4% bottle neck for general tasks (not bad), 29.9% for CPU intense, and perfect for GPU intense. For me, that is acceptable, since I am not going to pay hundreds of dollars for a CPU replacement based on that calculator results. ...and guaranteed, computer manufacturers are certainly not going to care too much about bottlenecks when making their prebuilds. So, my take on all this is don't get your own neck into a bottleneck concern about this, be reasonable and practicable and that tool, if anything, is only a reference.

Another worthwhile option on the cheaper end, if someone is looking for a tower they can upgrade: search around for older cheap tower servers - you can often find them at great prices at auction houses or through private sales (just do your homework around what's around where you live). Do your homework on what you find out there to figure out the upgrade path - you can often find these systems that are still very capable for 1080p gaming, that will probably come with more than enough RAM (ddr4 generation systems is what you should be aiming at). I had a Lenovo Thinkserver TS-150 I was able to drop an RX5700xt into, way cheaper than a full new build at the time and worked like a charm until I was able to afford a full current-gen new build a few years back (great way to save some $, just be careful to avoid over speccing with new parts you buy so you aren't bottlenecked in any way).

Yo Zack, I have a plan to build my pc and I want to pair an rtx 4060 with a ryzen 5 7600, I’m choosing this cpu to be on the am5 cpu socket so upgrading in the future to a better cpu is less expensive, is this a good idea?
Does 1660s require an external power connector? Is it compatible with default Optiplex 5090(full size) i5 11500, 24gb Ram(added 2*8gs to default 4*2gs), 512ssd+1ttb hdd.
Depending on age the fastest cpu for the socket is usually pretty cheap, not fast by todays standards but its a step above what you have aslong as the mobo can handle it.
@Zach I’m building a DDR3 build!? I need your help! What GPU should I pair with my processor and what CPU should I even get? Please 🙏 use my comment I really need help!

I converted 3 HPz420 pcs into gaming PCs for my kids: I upgraded to e5-2697-V2 xeon, 32gb ram, 4tb samsung evo ssd, RTX 2070. 750 watt semi modular evga psu. The PCs were freebies but can be had on ebay for about $150, the upgrades cost me $700 per including a copy of win 10 pro., The benchmarks put them on par wth any $1500 pre-built gaming PC for half the cost as of 8/23. There is a bit of bottleneck, but i got good deals on the GPU's and the server chips and memory is really cheap. There are no complaints from my kids and the FPS at 1080 p an most of their games is over 60fps. The bottleneck calculator say 30.3% cpu bottleneck, but the benchmarks say differently at about 10%
I have ready to buy compounents for new pc build is there something to change before I buy em. B450 elite v2, R5 5600g, GIGABYTE AMD radeon rx 7600 ,16gb of RAM 8X2 3200mhz ddr4, 700w psu, 1TB m2 ssd, Draco XD case.
Keep it mind that a lot of office pcs come with a psu that's just about enough to support the original system, which a lot of the times, does not have a dedicated gpu. Often those psus are cheap and if the PCs psu has like 200 watts, the cpu uses like 90 and you add a 200w gpu, that thing can actually ''explode'', because a lot of cheap psus don't have the proper safety mechanisms.

Yo Zack, I have a plan to build my pc and I want to pair an rtx 4060 with a ryzen 5 7600, I’m choosing this cpu to be on the am5 cpu socket so upgrading in the future to a better cpu is less expensive, is this a good idea?
rtx 4060 is bad but if u desprately want dlss 3 and save power, ok. and yes the ryzen 5 7600 is more than enough, ryzen 8000 is on it’s way anyways
Does 1660s require an external power connector? Is it compatible with default Optiplex 5090(full size) i5 11500, 24gb Ram(added 2*8gs to default 4*2gs), 512ssd+1ttb hdd.
I'm literally in the process of doig this 😂
Depending on age the fastest cpu for the socket is usually pretty cheap, not fast by todays standards but its a step above what you have aslong as the mobo can handle it.
What’s a good upgrade from a 2600x and will it be worth it?
the intel a310 also has no power connector
yo zack i have R7 5700X /16ram/motherboard b550 plus what should i buy for a graphic card?
In my case, I bough a SSD and that boosted my PC and fixed some bugs just by installing it. Now Im thinking to buy some Ram
@Zach I’m building a DDR3 build!? I need your help! What GPU should I pair with my processor and what CPU should I even get? Please 🙏 use my comment I really need help!
I have a 3050mt i am limited by the psu...
What do i do?
I already added a i7 7700k so i can pair a decent enough gpu.

I was surprised that you still keep the CPU
Is an rtx 3060 12gb 192-bit , a ryzen 5 5600, a gold 650w psu and 32 gb corsair vengeance a good pair?

I have an office pc too with a i5 6400 but the connector on the motherboard are not the same as classic mb but addaptater exist i Can put one 16gb ram not 2x8 buts i don't know whitch graphic card pair with it
You forgot to mention the RGB light, which is the one which actually made it a real gaming PC.
i received a dell 3020 i3 from my office. I'm upgrading the ram. Can I put a RTX 3050 in this? What about a gtx 1650 Super? I want the best graphics card compatible for this mother board.
I challange u to make a pc with very VERY old parts and custom loop it
If only I could upgrade a levono t470s, if only...

Is Intel i5 12th gen 12400f + GTX 1650 + 16gm ram + 500ssd good
Or any other alternative is present?
Is a ryzen 7 2700x and a gtx 1080 with 32gb of ram a good combo for star citizen and streaming
Try 😊
If you're going for GTX1650, i would advice people to find the D6 version as they're better than the D5 in any way and often offered in the same price
What gbu should I get for a Ryzen 7 5800x with 16g of ram
I have a Dell Precision T1700 with a AMD pro fire graphics card W2100 and a cpu that can’t update to windows 11
does RX 5700 xt go well with Ryzen 3600?
I have a ryzen 7 5700x with a 500 watt PSU, what is the Best possible GPU I could get that wouldn't be bottlenecked?
I have a dell optiplex 9020 an i7 4770 1tb HDD, 1050ti 32gb of ram bought it off of Amazon for 150$ (graphics card wasn’t included)
HE GAVE YOU THE SPECS, the optiplex is almost identical across generations with the only difrence being the generation of cpu 💀😭😭😭😭😭
bless toward low profile gpus on Every ASPECT
Hey I am from Bangladesh. I have a r5 5600x and 32 gb ram with 750w power supply. What kind of GPU you recommend. By the way Love your content
Your office pc came with 8 gigabyte ram? Mine had 2 and another stick i installed so now i have 4gb and can run minecraft
I have an Acer veriton X4630 i5400 can you recommend a gpu😢
In the first 1 second of this short it shows my pc bruh😅
If the psu has molex and can provide enough power nothing wrong with using an adapter but don't ever use sata power connectors for this
Graphics card and if not present get 8gb of ram
Most of the time 16gb of ram is just overkill even while playing games and having other stuff open
having other stuff open is literally why 16gb is optimal
@@Lumnfao how often do you have problems because of 8 gigs ram?
Bro, what games can you play with 8 gb of ram
We are talking GAMING pc here, it's used for heavy sht not some run of the mill homework doing
playing batman arkham knight is using 70 to 80 percent of my 16gb ram, so uhh, 8 gigs definitely not enough
Yo zack I have laptop hp pavilion 15 should I upgrade it ? And how to change frames and give it high fps
u can only upgrade the ram and ssd on a laptop. u wont be able to game at high fps
