An update for Hero, since he's evolved over this past year. Mana doesn't actually refill if you get it. Only when you hit someone else. Or 1 Mp per second. Accelerat(L)e: S. There's a second L there. Best move Hero has. Makes him literally the fastest character in the game. Gives him insane mobility and a great combo game. Heal: C. Eh. It's aight. 11% isn't great. Oomph: B. Increases damage and knockback for all physical attacks. (Yes, including Zapple.) Basically Buster Shulk but not as a good. Psyche-Up: A. One F-Smash crit deletes shields, essentially giving you a free kill. Combine it with Oomph, and it doesn't even need to crit, it also gives you the ability to pop shields with down or back air. Also makes up throw kill way earlier. Flame Slash: B. Hatchet Man: B. Breaks shields. Kills at like 40%. Use it for hard reads, or when people just aren't paying attention. Kacrackle Slash: C. Time an up Smash as they thaw out of the ice and and you'll usually kill them, or spike 'em if they fly off-stage. You can also just rack up damage if you don't think you can time it. Metal Slash: D. It has one use. Quickly closing the menu off-stage while you're looking for Zoom. Thwack: B. Yes it can kill stupid early, but it has like 30 frames of startup, so you'll usually just get hit out of it. Also costs 30 MP, or way too much. Hitbox is huge though, so that's a plus. Whack: S. Slow moving, great for applying pressure. No one wants to get hit by it. Covers the whole length of FD and then some. You can combo into it. And it can kill at literally any percent. All that for 10 MP. Broken. (Also has the same odds to kill as Thwack.) Bang: C. Doesn't actually pull in opponents. Kaboom: S. Speedy, powerful, has a suction box. Solid move. Sizz: C. It's aight. Sizzle: B. Fast, strong, pretty hard to react to, great for sniping people off-stage and tech chases. Snooze: S. Yeah, snooze is still good. Opponents are put to sleep longer the sooner they get hit by Snooze. Bounce: S. Also useful against characters that don't have projectiles because it manipulates the RNG, preventing Bounce from showing up again for 12 seconds. Hocus Pocus: S+. BEST MOVE IN THE GAME. USE IT AT EVERY POSSIBLY OPPORTUNITY. 10/10. Kaclang: F. Points if you kill someone with the falling hitbox. Kamikaze(E): A. There's two E's goddammit. Usually kills around 50%. Good if you're either ahead a stock or at even stocks at a much higher % than your opponent. Magic Burst: D. Move is garbage. Only ever kills if you have more than 80 MP. Below that and it's merely an annoyance. Projectiles hit you out of it, you lose the tool that lets you be a good character, and you get put in a terrible position that lets opponents gimp you with less effort than edgeguarding a Little Mac. Tired of people saying this move is good. Zoom: S. Free recovery back to center stage. Also side note, Hero's high tier. They didn't ban him.

sometimes, new characters might be banned due to just being new. it takes time for people to learn how to use these characters and see how viable they are for competitive play. however, no one is really concerned if a character just isn't very good, they're mostly concerned if the character is just TOO good, borderline broken. it's also meant to be fair to the players who don't play the new character as it gives them time to learn how to deal with this character's shenanigans. for instance, villager used to do quite well, simply because people didn't take them seriously. playing villager as a troll character was effective until players learned how to respond. in Tekken, certain characters can do well with players who simply mash buttons, until those players come up against someone who has learned how to deal with players like that. fighting games are never a one-way street. it's never just about how good you are with any given character. it's also about how good your opponent is with theirs, and how well you can both deal with each other's play style. and when one of you lacks a bit of knowledge about the other's character, the one that knows more will likely win.

he's pretty counterable you just have to wait until that fine opportunity or he just keeps on wasting all his MP and then you get them off the map and you done
I think they should nerf his special attacks a little so they don’t insta kill at 50, but besides that he can be a little slow without his speed buff and so is a little easy to predict and dodge
