Shutting down the government is a bad idea in many ways. The Constitution requires congress to pay the bills.

This is kind of an ignorant comment. This is like saying that you’ve walked up to the edge of the cliff and you’ve never fallen in. It’s a stupid game to play. And this is playing with peoples lives, and every time we’ve had a government shut down, it essentially just costs us all more money. Congress needs to actually pass real budgets, these continuing resolutions need to be a thing of the past because Congress simply needs to actually get together and create real budgets. They also need to rain in the presidency because at the end of the day it is supposed to be the Congress that decides things, not the president The president execute the plan, he doesn’t make it. That’s why it’s called the executive branch.
So lets take a look at this bill. That Bill included raises for senators but also other glut spending. The CR should not have money for raises or any other glut spending.
