It's a story about a situation that many of us might find ourselves from every now and then.

My interpretation: Happiness is one major decision away. You can either choose to pursue what you love or wake up and live on auto pilot dreaming about what you love. The decision is yours, but most people will never make that decision. I feel his pain and wish I had the courage to walk away from that train in pursuit of more.

@@patrickclark4456 How do you want to travel? Do you want to road trip or do you want to fly to other countries & live more exotically. By "working on it" are you implying you are gaining money though various means ie: working, building a business, or establishing passive income.
You look like someone who would have that entrepreneurial spirit. If you don't or haven't though about that though wish to become financially independent than I can give you a few great ideas you can do right now to become financially free though they will require sales skills. I am not rich my any means though I can sustain myself & am "working on it" as well & if you are in a similar position I would love to help you out or maybe even learn from you.

The end isn't about a man who changed himself and then he became happy for the rest of his life, but its about the real life that sometimes you realise you could be doing something happier, something better, but you have no money, you have no power to do that.. So you just accept your boring life.

Leonaga Fauzi me too... I always wonder about some nice things i could had done or even do today, but i never do. I don't know what is, if is fear of the unknow or something like that, because even if you think your life is boring it's somehow confortable to, you kinda like... But yeah many times my mind go far away (exactly how it showed in the video), lovers, works, travells, etc. Actually for me seems like an instinctive way of act, i mean things tend to stay at the same way inertia haha And as i say, sometimes you are already very happy and don't realize this. "Happiness conveys peace not strong feelings"

Happiness cannot be got by doing all that he imagined. Happiness is within. When you find it... Even climbing on a train to serve the company will feel like the best service you could do to other people... Who were either born before you or after...

Yes, i agree with you, because ourselves as human creatures have a tendency to wanting more and more. And eventually we will understand that happiness wasn't come from the outside, but it always within ourselves.

my takeaway from this is finding happiness in what we have now. we tend to drown in the "ifs" or "whens" in life like "when i become skinnier only then i would be happy" or "if i get my dream job then I'll be happy" overlooking that we can be happy now, if we choose to appreciate what we have at the present moment.
An attitude of gratitude is part of the key. Life is never gonna be easy 100% of the time. If we are grateful for what and who we have, then we experience happiness. It’s a journey, not a destination

Sadly it's true for many of us. We think of the lives we could be doing, and the possibilities awaiting us, but everything comes at a cost. Leading aimlessly, the dreams we wish are heavily dependent on chance and of other people. Sometimes you dream of a life youre thankful for, only to wake up again to the life you've been offered.
Our lives are spent being a product of service, to faceless people, drifting through time, and then we die.

What I got from it is that he thought about living the lifestyle he wanted (best-selling author, girl of his dreams) he settled for the reality of an white-collar employee.
Some of us settle for what we don't like thinking about what we do like because of fear of failure.

Sometimes, we want to be happy but there are so many things to consider before starting or.. doing such things. My interpretation was Happiness is a choice and ... it's not hard to start until you chose to. Like just do it. And also, the most important is it's never too late for doing stuff that you really love but seemed to be abandoned by time. You could still draw even you stopped for years, you can still create things and enjoy time creating memorable experiences with those you loved. Never abandon something that hasn't come to its "end" you that wanted. Strive and roam the world doing what makes you happy. But always remember that only God can fulfill you and your life at the end of everything! God bless you one the one reading this!!

Good understanding. Happiness is in our minds. Its a relative thing having different meaning for different people
My interpretation: "What is actual happiness?" People always keep on asking this question to himself all the time and always sets a target or a goal as in- if i could achieve this goal and it'll make me happy but often forgets the journey.they usually risks all the things and in the end they keep on regretting that i could've done many things but didn't and tend to blame the work but Happiness is all just the present moment you live and it's a choice so live your life as you want it to be and stay happy in the present moment and of course i won't be doing such mistakes in my life that make me regret what i didn't do but what i could've done but i need to identify one more thing here i.e No matter in what kind of situation you are- never loose hopes and never forget who you really are....
You don't need to have money or power to be happy. Happiness is in moments and we have to live and be happy in every single second because every single second is unique. Time never turns back. Finally life is short, really short, and because of that we all have to make our dream reality, making happy ourselves and never stop trying for that. And no excuses. No matter if you have stress, overthink, depression, insecurities. Life is too short to wait for things to happen and having always the same boring mood.

You can either live to work or work to live. Adventures are far more fun when there is money to pay for them. The man in the brown suit may have had a lifetime of adventures and is that morning, grieving the loss the his wife. Most contemporary authors today have a day job to pay the bills and to fund their research. Unfortunately, too many of us (me included) spend too much time on games and social media, and then blame our work life for our lack of fulfilled dreams.

Your thoughts always gives you more pleasure than the reality.
Your own happiness is always dependent on who you are. This man thinks that he doesn’t want to grow old like the man he saw at the station,and deal with the same repetitive days over and over. He dreams of what he could do to change that,make it different and happier,but realizes that he needs his job to have money. He can’t simply leave it behind,but it’s all he’s ever wanted. Trapped in an endless moral dilemma he does what he always does. He doesn’t play life,life plays him. He accepts that by thinking those dreams are too far away to accomplish. And oftenly that’s how it seems. E continues despite everything telling him to turn around and do it a different way. And that is the story of many lives,including mine. Maybe one day I will finally chase those dreams. But that day has yet to come,if it ever does. But I don’t think it will in this world of constant fear. That’s how I thought about it,and it really is heartbreaking,but it’s just life nowadays,isn’t it?

I've had the same fear. But I think you should try to get your motivation from the passion for things you love instead of fear of ending up somewhere you don't want.

My interpretation:
We imagine only those things that we want and which makes us happy. When the same thing will happen in reality things might not be the same. Happiness and sorrow go hand in hand. In fact the true taste of happiness comes after you have experienced sorrow. So live in the present, and make the most of it.

What I interpret from this video is that happiness is a state of mind. He first thinks that his life is going to go in daily struggles and hustles, and believes he would end like the old man beside him; certainly not a happy state of mind. But, one can close their eyes, imagine any place or state they want to be in, and your subconscious will believe in what you believe which will increase your serotonin. Is reality what is happening or what you manifest in your mind?
Currently I am doing my Physics major (I am from India).I am extremely happy with Physics,as per I am passionate about that subject.My aim is to be a good Physicist.

Let me tell you something. Life is worth living only when you have the courage to stand up for your dreams. I tell you, I have lived many years. I've spent a lot of money, done many things. To live a life we do not love is to die an agonizingly slow death. Empty your life. Only then can you see who you are. My friend, tomorrow is not promised. Easy to forget I know. Never give up the good fight, without it, life becomes a pointless existence. Only after the time and money is spent, will you realize how much of your life has already been wasted. Nothing goes with us when we die. All that stays with us until the end is the life we led and the feeling we have about it.
