These guides are great and i understand the concepts. But one thing i struggle with is knowing when you win the fight even after you spot a mistake? you dropped down extremely low hp a few times in the guide to the point it feels like it could go either way. I've been in a lot of games where i see a strong champ like Darius or Renekton waste an ability and they still stomp me when i try to punish it. How to know when you win the allin or just need to take the chance to get in a few free hits?
There are so many variables to if you would win an all-in or not considering the different champs there are, runes, current minions and of course items. So it all comes to game knowledge and learning about the enemy champions power spikes. I recommend playing as Darius/Renekton for a little while and getting comfortable with them and you'll know when to stay away and when to all-in as you can put yourself in their situation much easier

If a challenger smurf vs a gold player comes down to 1 auto attack difference (after the gold player wastes an ability) then i don't think that is something a gold player can reliably replicate in their own elo. It gives me no confidence to try it myself. If the mistake leads to jax winning the fight with 60% hp remaining then you can clearly see ok this works.
I recently stepped up my game by applying wave management as ADC and I can tell you my winrates are skyrocketting. You realize that you never get into bad situations "by accident". When you play your wave correctly you somehow always end up in good situations like "hey their jungler ganked but we somehow won 2v3 !", "hey drake just spawned but the ennemy laners are too low and have to back soon !"

Your kennen play (slow pushing the wave for 1v2 ) should be the core principal on how to gank top lane, if the enemy top laner is Renekton, Darius, or Urgot and have big wave please don't gank these champion or you screw up your top laner

But more importantly, *how exactly is the line drawn not diagonal* ? Albeit, Skillcapped's use of the word "diagonal" in this case is a bit vacuous. Skillcapped (in this case) has imagined an X-Y axis to be drawn over the entire map, for example- point 0.00 being in the center of mid, X and Y domain and range being 1.00, the Blue nexus would be at point (-1,-1), and the Red team's nexus at point (1,1). From this, Skillcapped's version of a diagonal line would be any line on the map that has the same slope of a line drawn from Blue nexus to Red nexus. If this is how they defined a diagonal line, then the line from Kennen to Akali's Tier1 tower is indeed a "diagonal line".

Statsticks are kinda toxic to the game doe... RIOT thinks the same answell, hence the future rework. The big thing here is that every champ has to have some form of counterplay (even when facing a challenger), and statsticks don't have that counterplay. The only way to get him out of the game is to rekt him since minute 2
McBaze literally abused those two factors to win those matchups. Trading vs melee lvl 1 in tri brush is a great trick to use on any ranged top, also once he hit 6 he knew he could stat check his opponent when playing mundo.
@@brunocosta6849 Despite me hating statsticks champions as well they do have counter play. because with the fact that they are dependent on being able to reach you and they dont have a lot of gap closing abilities, they actually cant do much against CC
in 3:30 a slow push is fine and makes sense but i think the jax was ahead enough to fight Garen in the large minion waves because of the lead as well as because of the counter strike that Jax has to block minion agro. I think it would be more viable to hard shove and go beyond Jax's tower and pull the incoming minions to force a crash. Garen can then recall and then get a good reset off or he can just suicide under tower while clearing the next wave. That would be more viable than a slow push that hand delivers Jax a huge wave to farm and having to invest a large amount of time to mess around with the jax
On the game with Mundo (6:00) there is a huge factor in play "tilt" The Voli started ahead with a kill and then dies 3 times in a row, by the second time he died he was already tilting, when you TPed and killed him the game was over for him.

I like this video, especially for top lane, because none of this require crazy challenger mechanics. Usually in McBaze videos I feel I don't learn a lot cause most of his plays take a lot of mechanics, but all of these are simple game knowledge and awareness. Great job, love it

I'm still bad at slow pushing, what always happens is that my wave always ends up being the same size as the opponents wave even when I try to slow push.
You make it seem like all these plays are super easy but you barely win the trades as a smurf. Do you really think little Billy in Bronze is going to be able to pull this off without fucking up and dying?
3:50 wouldnt the better play be to hard push the wave like garen did but instead of staying he recalls. this makes it so that there is 3 minions at jaxs tower and it slowpushes back to garen, considering the jungler has been topside entire game. this works better for garen. stacking 3 waves is also a good play but forcing freeze on jax whos already behind by jungle pressure pretty sure is better play.
I'm Silver too and I kinda have the same situation. I remember hearing "Spread the lead" somewhere. If you have a lead in a lane try and get the other lanes to lead to. Probably not best to take my word for it(Because I'm silver too)
Depends on the champion you play I guess. If you are 4/0 on a split push or a strong skirmisher you should exploit the lead on your lane, try to win the 1v1s and 2v2s, push objectives and generate preassure. I recommend watching LS commentary on this regard (preassure) when he reviewed Lourlo vs Bjergsen in top lane.
@@latric5438 no need to give him the kill xD. Just kill splitpush hard and keep them running against you. Low elo isn't punitive and wont stop Splitpushing
When you say "Do you spot the mistakes" you do a bunch of jump cuts, which only give 1.5 seconds to understand what's happening. I wish you had let it play in real time to see if we'd catch the mistake

Yeah punish is cool and all, but when you have Renekton, Darius or Kled you even struggle to farm... Top is 50% of the times counter-picking and 50% ganks's town
I‘m having huge problem with figuring out what to do after being ahead BIG TIME on the enemy toplaner. More often than not they are splitpushers so if I walk away to help my team they will just comeback. How do I deny them more when they just stuck to the turret and I can‘t dive them? Is freezing the only option?
Not sure if he mentioned elo, but in my opinion its around silver in euw/eune or NA Gold. No way its higher than gold in european servers, they are just way too bad
How do you carry against someone who is fed on enemy team? For an example, by the time we were in mid game, i was 12-3 on mf while their jhin was 2-3 and veigar 0-7 but their azir was 10-2. We had a karma mid and takan support with no real tabks while they had a garen for a tank
You destroy top lane, get a lead. Help other lanes, but then you check the kills, where the enemy leads with 20kills, and you wonder... "Why did I even bother helping if they just feed off their shutdowns"
I flamed a friend bcuz he was playing kennen vs akali and landed only 1 autoattack in 5minutes and wasn't pushing at all the whole lane. He died and blamed his champ and called me saying bullshit bcuz I never played kennen XD I peaked plat and he is hardstuck bronze1 atm oof.
I find low elo players don't respect auto's and poke in general whatsoever. As Vlad I can usually get half their health before lvl 3 and thats an instant win. Either burn important resources, die, or just let me scale.
I am very critical about this bcz I am a top laner and have been watching these videos for quite the while now. Mainly top lane videos ofc and the guides dont really offer assistance as one would think. It might offer assistance farming wise. It doesnt depict the reality well enough. In their past top lane guides they would depict champs who have a great lvl 1 - 3 and with that they show you how to snowball and beat you enemies. I have not seen a video in which you are in a losing matchup. Example: range to melee and you have to carry still. In the majority of their videos their team is not doing half bad which is either luck or sometjing else. In my low elo games my team costs my lp. They do say do not blame your teammates and i have tried not doign that and keeping a good mental but I see no result well at least nothign positive for how hard im workin. This "reality" they show then wants us to learn the same snkwballing hyper carry champs they play and it leaves out the reality of ur bot lane feeding a draven. Your jungler losing majority of objectives. U somewhat win lane but you cant pusg cayse ur against a shen who can easily taunt u under tower and u cant roam mid bcz the mid laner is a higher level than u are and is beating ur mid too. What I would like to see is when all the odds are against you. And I have a champ like garen or someone simple as that can actually prevail and carry

Kinda how this game doesn't feel good to play sometimes. Make one small mistake like shown here maybe once or twice and you're behind for the rest of the game unless you play super safe until laning phase is over and try and catch up with CS or objectives.
I just got out of silver elo and now I’m in gold and I swear to god everyone is so much more toxic it’s insane. The amount of the instant feedback reports I get bc of people being racist is actually crazy.
I understand the guide,very good but I cannot say always but in these 3 games he had good teammates. He punishes top lane mistakes yea,but his team was doing pretty good as well.Now you will might say game with jax they were even. skill capped i like your guides and have purchased your service but this sometimes you guys can get too specific with random guides without focusing on only the fundamentals and broader concepts and this could hurt those trying to climb in the long run.
So the one thing I learned was on the Kennen part. I thought freeze was mostly good, but I see if you have a ranged poke champ it might be better to push them under and watch for ganks while harassing them

I come to comment because i had an idea, watching the current trends concerning the meta, and i would like to share it with you so you can check on it efficiency deeper, and maybe have a brand new op meta build to get in advance (as a return for all you did learn to me guys) so here it is: Galio unsealed spellbook is op right? (nothing new ik but ive not seen him in the jungle for a long time) Im a jungler main, so why not try him in the jungle? with unsealed spellbook and the nimbus cloak? I did try it out in practice tool to check on the cd's and use, it actually works. I did try it out with : Unsealed spellbook - Hexflash - Future's market - Cosmic insight -- Nimbus Cloak - Waterwalking -- AS - AF - MR (flex) You swap smite for ignite, u still have the jungle item, u burned your flash so you have hexflash up : Hexflash in (proc nimbus) ignite (second nimbus proc) then combo then blue smite (already up - third nimbus proc) You add a protobelt to this and its nearly impossible to get out of it + Good kit for clear, heal trick with talisman + raptors early possible, good cc for ganks, and good ult for counter ganks or objectives, i think could be a really good pick against heavy AP comp or in a lack of AP/tank team, good flexibility in build and so in role (+ tank or + ap burst) If you do read this, please give it a try and give me some feedbacks, it would be fun to see it in the future :)

understanding the matchup and knowing your champion limits, top lane is about experience. best to have a small champion pool

It's everything in every lane, TBH. Even as a jungler you should learn how waves interact so you can plan your moves ahead of time.
1- Random jungler see Renekton with big wave.
2- gank him
3- Renekton win the 1v2
4- jungler flame his top laner

Apparently the minions are your best weapon. Seems like every player in low elo thinks they are winning if they clear the wave mega fast.
Try to slow push vs amumu after is first back u will see something interesting

Yea because movements aren’t going to be directly linear like the line. Plus, the line wasn’t diagonal
he ran diagonal, but had to get the range to attack her and sight in the bush first.

This is good. Very good. I can see map opportunities so well as a jungler, but my laning is still awful, and this stuff helps a lot.

I'm still bad at slow pushing, what always happens is that my wave always ends up being the same size as the opponents wave even when I try to slow push.

The biggest mistake garen did is nit banning jax in LOW elo.
3:50 wouldnt the better play be to hard push the wave like garen did but instead of staying he recalls. this makes it so that there is 3 minions at jaxs tower and it slowpushes back to garen, considering the jungler has been topside entire game. this works better for garen.
stacking 3 waves is also a good play but forcing freeze on jax whos already behind by jungle pressure pretty sure is better play.

I'm Silver too and I kinda have the same situation. I remember hearing "Spread the lead" somewhere. If you have a lead in a lane try and get the other lanes to lead to. Probably not best to take my word for it(Because I'm silver too)
Roam mid but give your midlaner the kill.You dont need it as much as he does.Wait for your jg, hard push your wave and invade the enemy jg
Depends on the champion you play I guess. If you are 4/0 on a split push or a strong skirmisher you should exploit the lead on your lane, try to win the 1v1s and 2v2s, push objectives and generate preassure. I recommend watching LS commentary on this regard (preassure) when he reviewed Lourlo vs Bjergsen in top lane.
@@latric5438 no need to give him the kill xD. Just kill splitpush hard and keep them running against you. Low elo isn't punitive and wont stop Splitpushing

Yeah punish is cool and all, but when you have Renekton, Darius or Kled you even struggle to farm... Top is 50% of the times counter-picking and 50% ganks's town
I‘m having huge problem with figuring out what to do after being ahead BIG TIME on the enemy toplaner. More often than not they are splitpushers so if I walk away to help my team they will just comeback. How do I deny them more when they just stuck to the turret and I can‘t dive them? Is freezing the only option?

How do you carry against someone who is fed on enemy team? For an example, by the time we were in mid game, i was 12-3 on mf while their jhin was 2-3 and veigar 0-7 but their azir was 10-2. We had a karma mid and takan support with no real tabks while they had a garen for a tank

I flamed a friend bcuz he was playing kennen vs akali and landed only 1 autoattack in 5minutes and wasn't pushing at all the whole lane.

I find low elo players don't respect auto's and poke in general whatsoever. As Vlad I can usually get half their health before lvl 3 and thats an instant win. Either burn important resources, die, or just let me scale.
I am very critical about this bcz I am a top laner and have been watching these videos for quite the while now. Mainly top lane videos ofc and the guides dont really offer assistance as one would think. It might offer assistance farming wise. It doesnt depict the reality well enough. In their past top lane guides they would depict champs who have a great lvl 1 - 3 and with that they show you how to snowball and beat you enemies. I have not seen a video in which you are in a losing matchup. Example: range to melee and you have to carry still. In the majority of their videos their team is not doing half bad which is either luck or sometjing else. In my low elo games my team costs my lp. They do say do not blame your teammates and i have tried not doign that and keeping a good mental but I see no result well at least nothign positive for how hard im workin. This "reality" they show then wants us to learn the same snkwballing hyper carry champs they play and it leaves out the reality of ur bot lane feeding a draven. Your jungler losing majority of objectives. U somewhat win lane but you cant pusg cayse ur against a shen who can easily taunt u under tower and u cant roam mid bcz the mid laner is a higher level than u are and is beating ur mid too. What I would like to see is when all the odds are against you. And I have a champ like garen or someone simple as that can actually prevail and carry

Kinda how this game doesn't feel good to play sometimes. Make one small mistake like shown here maybe once or twice and you're behind for the rest of the game unless you play super safe until laning phase is over and try and catch up with CS or objectives.
I just got out of silver elo and now I’m in gold and I swear to god everyone is so much more toxic it’s insane. The amount of the instant feedback reports I get bc of people being racist is actually crazy.

He punishes top lane mistakes yea,but his team was doing pretty good as well.Now you will might say game with jax they were even. Its true yea they were even, but thats again win for jax because he outscales them all and since he is a smurf he will 1v5 that game easily.

So the one thing I learned was on the Kennen part. I thought freeze was mostly good, but I see if you have a ranged poke champ it might be better to push them under and watch for ganks while harassing them

I come to comment because i had an idea, watching the current trends concerning the meta, and i would like to share it with you so you can check on it efficiency deeper, and maybe have a brand new op meta build to get in advance (as a return for all you did learn to me guys) so here it is:
Galio unsealed spellbook is op right? (nothing new ik but ive not seen him in the jungle for a long time)
Im a jungler main, so why not try him in the jungle? with unsealed spellbook and the nimbus cloak?
I did try it out in practice tool to check on the cd's and use, it actually works. I did try it out with :
Unsealed spellbook - Hexflash - Future's market - Cosmic insight -- Nimbus Cloak - Waterwalking -- AS - AF - MR (flex)
You swap smite for ignite, u still have the jungle item, u burned your flash so you have hexflash up : Hexflash in (proc nimbus) ignite (second nimbus proc) then combo then blue smite (already up - third nimbus proc)
You add a protobelt to this and its nearly impossible to get out of it
+ Good kit for clear, heal trick with talisman + raptors early possible, good cc for ganks, and good ult for counter ganks or objectives, i think could be a really good pick against heavy AP comp or in a lack of AP/tank team, good flexibility in build and so in role (+ tank or + ap burst)

Rush early on BOTRK to keep ad advantage on first stages, then go into Guinsoo to make the transition smooth, Sorc' Shoes, Nashor Tooth, Rabbadon and Void staff to hit hard late game
It freaking melts tanks, you benefit early and scaling efficience of HOB, u keep the good ad laning phase, you can apply W stacks twice fast thanks to HOB stacking the Guinsoo and you deal high scaling mixed damages
As tanks are going to be back again with conq nerf, i would like to see more tank shredder bot laners out here
