Krishna Das is deeply spiritual. Only such a person would get the real story of Ramayana. Jeevatma (Sita) is lost in the world of illusion and ego (Ravana) but Supreme Soul (Rama) is ever ready to help. We should therefore never lose hope and constantly call upon God (Supreme Soul) for help. Symbolism of Ramayana is deep but rarely understood even by Indians.
Bhaskar Maity Because shri Ram is maryada Purshotam and He is a king before He is a husband. When shri Ram gets whiff of society's disapproval of His acceptance of sita, he obeys society's wish and sacrifices sita. It would be very painful for shri Ram as He would be too lonely because of single wife pledge and He would miss kids for lifetime but again He is king first before He is father or husband. Shri Ram never doubts sita's chastity but it's the poor society that has doubts.
Krishna Das explained it as Leela. since the 2 are the same souls (different manifestations of the Divine), there is really no separation. Rama never doubted Sita. You need devotion, not logic to understand this. When the twins (Luv, Kusha) were born in the Ashram of Sage Valmiki, they were taught Ramayana and then learnt to chant it. They went about chanting it and were invited to the palace where Rama heard it. Thus, Ramayana was popularized even in Rama's lifetime! That would not be possible if Sita had remained with Rama. There is always a lesson at the end of all actions of Avatars.
@@bhaskarmaity2890 there has been a lot of mischief done by the British and communist on Ramayan. Ram did not test sitas chastity. In fact he offered the chaya sita to agni, who protected sita all throughout, but fell in love with her and would not leave her go. And rama did not ask Sita to leave. It is sita herself who chose to leave, Ram tried his best to pursuade her to not go, but she was adamant and decided to leave him.
@@garavsg8154 just add to this that Sita Mata was also part of the decision taken by Lord Rama to live separately , both have sacrificed their own happiness for the sake of preserving people's trust .
I really urge people to read Ramayana and Mahabharata, two great epics this world has ever created. These epics have got answers to everything that is needed today !
It's not that Rama did not forgive Sita. He was well aware of her fidelity. However, he was the king of Ayodhya before he was the husband of Sita. He owed it to his citizens that their rulers be beyond reproach. To remove any doubt in the minds of his subjects, he chose to give the supreme sacrifice - he let go his wife Sita. His duty has a king took precedence over his role as a husband.
No brother sita mata did not do any fidelity or any wrong thing .she is holy pure and lord rama knows it but some people of ayodhya did not like the idea .that sita can be pure after abduction .ravan was a brahmin .he never forced sita to do anything . But as a king lord rama has to clear doubts of his subjects or praja so he made sita to go forest .
Grateful I recently found this faith. I identify with this story. I was married to a girl that had a lot of childhood trauma and many problems manifested as a result. I always saw someone pure in her that was experiencing the hand given to her like a statue covered in mud. 🪷 After 13 years, I found out she had an affair. I was really broken and had a nervous breakdown. She left when things got difficult. If I had forgiven and continued to accept her as is, we’d still be together. However, I couldn’t accept it. I realized it was something in me I couldn’t accept. The shame that we all have those tendencies of infidelity. Anyway, I chose to remain single and I have more time to do what I love, meditate and contemplate things. I Am All in All One Spirit in many forms 🕊

To my understanding, when Shri Ram came back n became king n started living with Sita, people in general started gossiping that king is having a queen who was infidel. So as a king, it is king's responsibility to win confidence of public and make them feel proud of their queen and that is the reason why sita maa had to to give test of her fidelity. So Ram in way set an example for any king, ceo, president of PM that when public in general looses confidence in you it is ur responsibility to win their trust or else organization will break apart.
Ram was not merely a husband....he was a king..And as a king his first responsibility is towards his people rather than his personal life....And mind you women those days were not the hapless barbie dolls of today....they perfectly understood their own roles in the society and also their husband's responsibilities and duties. It was a very very elevated consciousness living ....not lost in the metacritic nature of the world.
The seeta kidnapped by ravana was maaya seeta. True seeta was taken to kailasha by indra. A see ta pratima was kept in place which was kidnapped by ravana. Hence lord ram didn't accept the see ta who came back from ravana's place knowing very well that it's not his true see ta. Only lord ram and see ta and indra and shiva knew about the plan
Regarding the question Madam asked, though it was asked to Mr Krishna Das Ji, but would like to take the liberty of voicing my answer. First, Ramayana was scripted much before it actually happened by a Rishi known as Valmiki (who became a Rishi after doing a penance of 60,000 years; how one can become stay alive to do such a penance is a different discussion but can succinctly mention that this ability is achieved by using one of the Samadhis). Now the objective was NOT to write a sweet please-all picture-perfect script to come across as politically n socially correct, the objective of playing out this Leela (play) was just to introduce an Avatar (or aspect) of the Supreme God so that people can have an access to the Supreme for the coming hundreds of thousands of years. This access is needed so that people can worship or at least mentally align with the Deity or Avatar to burn their Karmas and finally be in a position to evolve. Leela is just an excuse to introduce the Avatar - in case of Lord Rama it’s the Avatar of the Supreme personality aka God of Gods. Coming to the aesthetics of the script, Lord Rama explained why He left Mother Sita after overhearing from a humble albeit indecent washerman that he is not Lord Rama who would continue to accept a woman as his wife if she has ‘stayed or been in custody’ of some other man (referring to Mother Sita’s stay in Ashoka Vatika in Lanka after kidnapping). Lord Rama explains that He being ‘Maryada Purshottam’ conducted himself like an ideal son when he left the throne for his younger brother and left for forest, he conducted himself like an ideal husband when he gave everything to rescue His wife from that terrible demon, and now he would need to conduct Himself as an ideal king if the masses of his empire are not comfortable with Mother Sita as queen (remember the saying, ‘Ceasar’s wife should be above suspicion’). Also do note that He didn’t marry again and lived like a Brahmchari (a celebate) for the rest of his life. 🙏
With all due respect to Krishna das and his love and devotion for Hinduism, foreigners wouldn't be able to explain Sri Ram and Maa Sita and their connection, you would need a true Hindu monk to explain these things. Also, Valmiki Ramayan ends with Ravan wadh and Ram darbaar. This so called "expelled" part was added later to other versions of Ramayan to distort his image.
