You should have talked in game so you could experience it as intended. Some monsters can hear you speak in game. And also you skipped the audio at the best part 😅 ..great asset
Yall should definitely do a second playthrough but with the proximity chat now that yall got a hang of the game. It makes the game 10 times funnier and scarier lol

I’ve been watching some videos on this and it’s hilarious. 😂 You guys should try the in game voice chat, I think it’s proximity and they do a really good job at making you sound like you’re in the environment. And will muffle your voice to others when you get one of those aliens on your face.
Not to mention your voice can alert enemies
Yep, this game should be played with the in-game voice chat, not anything exterior for the full effect.
This game is a lot more fun when you use the in game proximity chat. One minute you and your buddy are about to leave the building, your buddy goes out first, and when you come out all you see is a tree guardian munching on his corpse.
3:01 had me laughing my guts out, the way he screams as if he's getting murdered. Whew good laugh.
Hearing british people call a flash light a "torch" like they live in the 1800s never ceases to make me chuckle

Not really it's there if you want to but that's a distinct disadvantage to some one learning the game and not as fun if your struggling to communicate with each other etc. Sure if you want to play the game seriously rather than just have fun with friends. The same argument could be applied to hunt show down it has in game proximity audio but barely any one uses it as it carries with it massive negatives and zero positives if you want to talk to friends.
@@TheIntronD The game is extremely easy to pick up and start going. Proximity chat in this game is a massive feature that increases the value and enjoyment greatly. Not using that throws out the use of the walkies completely, which are in place to make you think strategically about how you're playing (ie Do you want 1 less inventory to be able to chat freely, do you want to stay together to talk, or do you split up and hope for the best?). Not only that, but the monsters can hear you in the game. Your talking / screaming gets you noticed. Comparing this feature to Hunt Showdown is apples and oranges.
@@TheIntronD Hard disagree. How is one comment so wrong on so many levels? This game IS a proximity chat game, it's what makes the game special. There is no "struggling to communicate" or learning the game because of proximity chat. Proximity chat should be used ESPECIALLY when you want to have fun with friends, full tryhard would be to use VC instead
@@TheIntronD i havent played hunt showdown but i know its extraction game like dark and darker and tarkov, and yeah in tarkov you can make it feel more cool etc if you voip in game but its so different to compare those kinda games to this one dude.. in tarkov etc you really wanna have all the advantage you can etc cus its hardcore pvp game but this is not. this game is for sure meant to be played in proximity chat

It gets just far far better if you use proximity chat, it echoes through walls and certain things REALLY muffle your voice.
