@@8unnylover I think he's a little shy, so he gets scared when you notice him, but get's upset if you stare for too long
@@8unnyloverbracken is an ambush predator, it sneaks behind people to kill them and tries to retreat when seen, if you stare at it for more than 4 seconds he gets "compromised" and rushes to kill you, it will follow one player around the base and switched targets when they leave or die.

Please, Smii7y, don’t stop playing this game until it’s become as relevant as the dirt beneath us. Your play throughs have provided me with some of my heartiest belly laughs and most genuine feeling of dread in a horror game lets play.
I don't think this game will become irrelevant any time soon! the one dev making the game said he will do a shit ton of updates in the future

@@Manckerthey honestly should make it a funny thing where the giants are passive to the jukebox. You know, like how plants respond well to certain music? You just have to find out which tunes don't anger the giants.
@@buttsagonton101 That's a good idea like some music can make them more aggressive maybe or it can make a certain enemy aggressive just inside the buildings so that you think you're passive against the giant but then you walk in and an enemy transforms into an even new one more agro bc of the music

@@jacey_night no they dont... I've been gotten and have seen others get got too and not once did they scream in game (not counting obvious mic sounds)

What tops it off is that the bracken just busts through the door, and just stares at Smii7y. It doesn't even back up, just stands there... MENACINGLY.
I don’t know how they made a multiplayer game scarier then a singleplayer game, but I love it. This game is on phasmophobia level, actually it’s probably better.
Its because it manages to spread feelings of unease, dread, fear, etc to all players. When you're playing alone it can be very scary, but when the fear you feel in a multiplayer horror game is amplified by the panic of those around you, it makes the multiplayer far superior of done well enough (although it varies a lot depending on who youre playing with)
Stellarcrow has an excellent video breaking it all down.
It also just creates fear of being forgotten, like you die alone, no one’s gonna know

Once you've got a single player game down that's kind of it.
But with multiplayer, especially one with proximity chat like this, you don't necessarily know what has happened.
Are they alive in there or dead? What killed them? Is it a lost cause?
In single player there are concrete answers.
Here, it's all fluid.
Btw this game only has one developer on it at the moment, it's crazy good how this ammount of quality was accomplished.

Bracken usually approaches sneakily and backs off if looked at. If you stare at him about 4-5 seconds he’ll enter a rage state and just kill you, so quick glances are key.

god damn, the first takeoffs ith the jetpack were amazing, and the second encounter with the neck snap monster was pure HORROR. when Smitty yelled for Matt to get out, that was so genuine.
This game has so much potential. Imagine a skinwalker that can turn into your dead teammate or even mimic voice lines…that would be unreal

I think with most groups they're either a little too serious and it gets kinda boring, or it's just a troll-fest that nobody survives which is also kinda boring. They manage to go back and forth enough that you don't know which one you'll get, keeps it interesting

the brekken (the shadow snappy neck boy) stalks you when you arent looking, but if you look at him briefly he backs off and waits to come back at you. but if you stare him down as hes backing off, he gets angry and comes after you anyways. You just have to look at him for like 2 seconds and then move your line of sight so he isnt in it anymore and he'll keep backing away for a moment and chill before going back to stalking
I think the only reason smi7y lived when the bracken cornered him at the entrance is because he only looked at it for a small bit, which actually has a chance to prevent it from attacking if I remember correctly

The worst part of the Brakken, or however you spell it, is when it killed Grizzly it was staring at you Smiity. It paused when you lost view of it around the corner too. Looked like it picked a person to traumatize and kill their friends

@@stjepanvrlja7940 Him and most of the other members of the Vanoss Crew's videos were one of the few things that kept me going throughout most of 2019, I quit watching them for most of 2018 because most of them, Tyler specifically would only play Fortnite and I personally hate that game which was one thing that set me back as an early teen. SMii7Y and someone else who I'm not going to bring up were the two UA-camrs that made me feel alive for most of 2019 and some parts of 2020 until I took a break from them and cut ties with one of them after learning a sad truth.

Fun tip: type "view monitor" when on the computer in a mission to see the radar from the monitor. Type "switch" or "switch *playername*" to change who the radar is on. Can abbreviate their name to 3 letters normally. The dudes that grab you from behind can be stopped by looking at them till they stop moving and then looking away. DONT stare too long or they charge you
this game is so chaotic, even like 20 minutes if playing gives you enough content for like a week
