- Welcome to my instrumental cover of "It Might As Well Rain Until September” a 1962 song originally written for Bobby Vee by Carole King and Gerry Goffin. King recorded the demo version of the song and this version was released as a double A-side single with "Nobody's Perfect". .
This song chose itself after the weather in England over the past three weeks!
Hopefully the rain has finally stopped as my friends and I are setting off tomorrow to walk the first 19 mile section of the St. Oswald’s Way, a 97mile trek around Northumberland from Lindisfarne to Hadrian’s Wall which we aim to complete in sections over the next two months.
April 15th marks the second anniversary of my first You Tube upload, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my YT friends for their support, encouragement and inspiration over this period.

Great job Neville, a favorite of mine, one of the many songs that bring back memories. Well played. A Hobart suburb was renamed Lindisfarne in 1903 after Lindisfarne a tidal Island (Holy Island) in Northumberland, England. Hope you didn't get wet.

Thanks John, two years have passed very quickly and the main thing is I am still enjoying things. The Höfner has not been used for a long time so it was overdue an appearance, the neck is a joy to play. Part 1 of the walk went well yesterday with a great first three miles across the sands from Lindisfarne to the mainland, (fortunately I checked the tides and calculated the safe crossing times correctly!) With regards to alcohol I will wait until Friday any my regular visit to Sedgefield Blues Club www.sedgefieldblues.com/gigs.html, usually some good bands and even better real ale............ Living on an island at the coast of the Baltic sea, I don't care much for the tides, they exist, but the difference from low to high is 2 or 3 centimeters - hard to notice... But some visits to UK has thought me it can mean real problems. I found some YT videos from the Sedgefield Blues Club, remarkably good standard, and this guy Aynsley Lister made a great solo version of "Touch" - really good!

Thanks John, I didn't even realise that Stockholm was a series of linked islands, forgive my ignorance. You may not know but in this country the word Baltic is now commonly used as an adjective to describe cold weather, eg. The weather is Baltic.......

The weather here has definitely been "Baltic" this spring. Thanks for the word, I'll use it, with the right pronunciation in Swedish you can make it sound like a great expletive, for example useful when you have to remove the ice from your car's windshield...

Hi Ric, thanks very much, the guitar is a 1963 Hofner Colorama II , which I bought in 1982. That sounds very hot! We have finally had some decent weather here the last few days, hopefully this lasts until Sunday when we will be attempting the second stage of the walk. Take care, Neville
Nev I do have a recollection of this one. Nice playing and tone choice. It's raining here for a couple of days. Lost power for 2 hrs as well. High winds. Could loose pwr again.
