- A musical vibe similar to Under My Thumb, this song features Brian Jones on the marimba and vibraphone. Like the Under My Thumb instrumental I made, I think this one came out pretty well.
Man, due to UA-cam clips like these i realized how musically creative Brian was. He was unique....RIP Brian, we miss you.
I could listen to this type of music on the radio instead of the noise that is played today.
Brian Jones genious... marimba .. dulcimer.. saxophone..clarinet .harmonica. percussion...sitar ..guitar...knowing what instrument was needed for each song ..
Absolute genius. All the instruments we were taught at school but thought were rubbish Brian mastered into true rock songs
Great. The marimba makes the track.
Agreed. A lot of early stones songs would be nowhere near as good as they are without Brian’s playing.
He always added the critical elements that stood out
Bill’s bass tho
Jeez Brian killed it
Wow, Brian was indeed the most talented of the group. I was sure that it was a studio musician who played on Under My Thumb.
Most versatile. Mick & Keith 2 of the greatest talents of the past century in popular music. And my man Charlie!
Jones was a loser.
no it was Brian
Brian Jones..is the BEST ‼️‼️🙏👏👏
64 to 72 was the Stones best period... Hell of a run! [ also Doors were great too [67 to 72].
Great track - used to play it in 1966!
I LOVE Brian's shawl so much 🌹The photos you select are beautiful. I'm so glad I just discovered this channel. I enjoy listening to the instrumentals of Stones' songs without the lyrics as it really shows the musical genius of Brian Jones. He brought those songs and instruments to life. The marimba sounds lovely 💖
Thank you so much!
Brian Jones was a multi instruments player , he was the Heart and spirit of the Stones until his death . 😇
Yes, (to an extent), and no he wasn't.
@@yassassin6425 Every opinion is important , thanks for your opinion .

Thanks for your prompt reply - except, it wasn't an opinion. My opinion of the man is irrelevant. The fact is, contrary to your claim he absolutely was not the "heart and spirit of the Stones until his death" - that is simply nonsense. By 1968, he was a burnt out shell and left a toxic pall and dark cloud hanging over everywhere and anyone he frequented. You only have to watch the Rock n Roll Circus to witness how dispirited and incapable he was by the end of the year. By 1969 he had zero artistic bearing on the Rolling Stones and contributed virtually nothing to 'Let it Bleed'.
Very sad and very tragic, but in many ways, inevitable.
@@yassassin6425 Thanks for guiding me to look at the rock and roll circus , I will have a better idea , thanks a lot man I'm happy to share comments with you .🧐
Jog on, hater. The only one being a dark cloud is you.@@yassassin6425
Beautifully arranged and produced!
high tide and green grass.
what l wouldnt give to go back just for the day l bought that album.
Grande BrianJones
Associated Performer, Harmonica, Guitar, Sitar, Percussion, Piano, Harpsichord, Organ, Dulcimer, Marimba: Brian Jones
Associated Performer, Percussion, Piano, Harpsichord, Organ, Sound Effects: Jack Nitzsche
Associated Performer, Piano, Organ: Ian Stewart
Brian Jones and Ian Stewart probably saved the band a bunch of money recording the early albums. No need to hire session men for the more exotic instruments.
I LOVE IT!
Brian doesn't even get credit on this one. So much of their 60's stuff would have gone unnoticed without their best player of all things exotica, Brian Jones.. And the real dead Jones last laugh is that that Mick and Keith get no royalties from their ABKO catalogue [62-70]. The greedy duo got F**d by then mgr. Allen Klein. As Keith said ... '' ah well, that's the price of an education''. God Bless Brian. And rest of the Stones too.
👏👏
How come i did not know this james?? TY made my day or evening RIP Brian, when Brian played that lead Slide on the "I wanna be your Man" song on the TV show right there in 1964 he was light years ahead of them all ALL in England at the time
I agree. @@StandingStones1776-vb6zn
A GREAT RHYTHM TRACK HERE
Nice!
The perfect retort to any unfaithful partner.
Eine kostbare Rarität hier für mich.......Danke.....👌
Einfach Super Tanzmucke.

Stones Beatles Who Spencer Davis Group CCR ACDC usw. FAN.
Richtig tolle Stones-Show.

i like this song is the bass from bill wyman, it so beautiful
It is, really!
What a great tone from his Framus Bass.
Semplicemente meravigliosi oserei dire unici sei veramente bravo à trovare queste rarità musicali😀😀😀😀💋💋💋👄👄👄👄👄💘💘💘🖐
Merci
Maravillosa obra maestra del rock universal y más toda su instrumentación en dónde no podía faltar el genio multiinstrumentista del Rock, el gran Brian Jones.
let's hear some fuzz bass and zoom bass
Who's that in the background, at the small piano and wearing headphones, with his back turned to Mick?
That's Jack Nitzsche. This was taken at RCA Studios sometime in November 1966 I believe.
@@Famulus9 It is Olympic in Barnes. That is a British phone on the wall. Stones were back in the U.K in November ‘66 and Brian did not wear a cape at RCA in August ‘66 when they were last there.
@@BigSky1 Great catch, thanks. That photo was taken by Michael Cooper in November 1966 so i for some reason said RCA instead of Olympic 🤦♂️
@@Famulus9 I have Michael Coopers book Blinds And Shutters signed by Bill, Keith, Eric Clapton and others.
@@BigSky1 So is that still Jack Nitzsche?
Speaking of your “Under My Thumb” instrumental, I‘m looking for it in your videos but not finding it.
ua-cam.com/video/x5q1s8ajmVE/v-deo.html
a bit True Romance opening theme vibe
How do you do this? Take out the vocals I mean?
Nail it to a desk and say "Iggity Aggity Oo"
Love the Stones to this day, but they were never as adventurous and creative then when Brian was with them and motivated. And they never made better singles then they did in 66 and 67. Tell me a better 2 years
Everybody crediting Brian but nobody creditinh Chris Farlowe who wrote this awesome song
It is a Jagger/Richards composition. Chris Farlowe recorded it under supervision of Mick Jagger himself in the studio, with Jimmy Page on guitar. On July 28th, 1966, Chris Farlowe's 'Out Of Time' became No 1 in the UK single Charts for one week, following Georgie Fame an the Blue Flames with 'Getaway', and followed by 'With A Girl Like You' (The Troggs) on August 4th, 1966. . Out Of Time entered the charts on June 26th, 1966 and stayed for 13 weeks. That's the story...
Yes but whitout the Mike Jagger voice Just seems a normal walzer
Nothing "normal" (average) about this tune to my ears...
@@nanchanger yes right
Bills bass is bad ass.Brian is the best of the Stones, along with Mick Taylor other wise garbage music.
What a great tone from his Framus Bass.
Amazing how people are so desperate to find something praise-worthy to with regard to his feeble & meager comtributions.
You are so unhappy.
Amazing how you can't appreciate it.
Explain?
