If Europe wanted a bridge, there would be a bridge
Actually one of the ideas the Nazis had for Africa, a Bridge at Gibraltar, allthough even back then, it was determend as not possible.

Humans can build oil rigs that reach rediculous depths in the ocean which is essentially a long straw constantly battered by ocean waters. If Spain and Morocco wanted a bridge, there would be a bridge.

If there was a bridge, all they would need is a valid passport and VISA to enter Spain, and as long as they have no reason to deny a VISA, they have to give it. Without a bridge, the physical barrier is a huge (in fact the biggest) impediment.

when I was in Morroco I was working on a cruise ship as a drummer, and I went out with 4 of the dancers/singers in the cast and 3 of them were females, decent looking blondes and brunettes and they wore normal American clothes, shorts and t-shirt and we went through a marketplace and we had to leave because they felt so unfomfortable, people were undressing them with their eyes and proposing to them and stuff, it was ridiculous.
When we went to 8 ports in Spain, we were treated normal and decent like anyone else would have.
HUGE difference between the cultures, despite the terrain being beautiful on both sides.

There’s historical implications that this video somehow doesn’t want to touch on. The Moors who were from modern day Morocco fully invaded Spain and the Iberian peninsula and occupied large parts of it for many generations. I am sure the Spanish don’t wish to re-live that again as a sovereign country. Plus Gibraltar is British controlled and it’s up to them ultimately if they want a bridge there or not - “rocks” aren’t the biggest obstacle. Plus Iberia was invaded anyway hundreds of years ago with no bridge necessary!

For those thinking there is no bridge or tunnel due to racism or lack of capitalist incentives, a quick google search reveals that the first proposal for such a project was initiated by Spain (not Morocco) in the 1930's, and that the engineering difficulties with the extremely hard rock are in fact real and were not surmountable back then. However with our modern engineering capabilities, the two countries are trying to make it happen once again, in part due to the 2030 football world cup happening in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.

And most colonialization took place more then a century after that. At that time what you remember as colonization was more like buying slaves on the coast staying as little as possible because the European had no natural immunity to local diseases going mainland was deadly. Thus they bought slaves from africans. There where a lot of local tribes like the Massai fighting against other tribes and where they earlier killed opponents they where now sold to the Europeans..

And the worst part: It are mostly man that are fleeing. Leaving their wifes and children behind. With a bridge it would become way easier (and cheaper) to make the travel to Europe. Europe is already sending billions of aid to Africa. Stop wasting it on wars and start building your own countries.

@@charaf-yt6492 it had, morocco has invaded the territory long ago and a lot of them (called saharauis) had to emigrate to camps of refugees on the border with algeria, the rest live under morocco's rule, being heavily opressed, with violence against journalists and saharaui activists who talk about the liberation of that zone.
