Been there for 5x already and still can't get enough of everything in Akihabara...... Heaven on Earth..... I even tried Denden town ( smaller version of Akihabara ) in Osaka.
Love Akihabara.. been there several times, it never ceases to amaze me. Took my young daughter there a few years ago, think she found her zen in a maid cafe.
I miss living in Japan, eventually I'll be back to live there again. On a side note, I spent so much in Akihabara before flying back. There was just something I wanted at every store I visited, the 2nd hand stores are a treasure trove. I was able to find anime goodies from years ago that I wanted but I missed out on buying.

I’m Japanese who nearly lived in Akihabara. I have seen so many foreigners and I’m realized Anime is really loved by all over the world. Akihabara is place which just like a heaven for people who love anime, and you can get fresh experience even people who aren’t interested in anime cultures. So many unique things and scenery in there ! So many products, so many events, so many anime cafe , so many food… And if you love Vtuber, sometimes you may walk passed by the person who is familiar to hear the voice ..huh?😮
I feel really fortunate to have been able to afford a trip to Japan to see my wife's family. Visiting Akihabara was the first thing on my list when I went to Japan. Being a middle aged guy I felt it mandatory to check out Super Potato and I wasn't disappointed by the retro offerings (bit pricey though). Went to a side street for my Ramen and OMG the bowl was massive and super delicious! An incredible place. See how the Japanese drivers stop at the Zebra crossings - quite rare in a lot of countries!!!
Is akihabara worth visiting? I plan to visit it when i go to japan for the first time, but not sure if I should cross it off my list and instead go to other places.
@@Ja-3108 Definitely worth a visit if you are into geeky stuff. They have some great noodle bars as well. Also check out Asakusa - there is a lovely temple, a market and lots of culture. I did them both in a day as they are only 30 mins apart via public transport or less than an hour if you walk, so you get a nice mix of technology, culture and exercise rolled into one day! Thank you for asking 🙂

I'm not bragging about it, but this video reflects Japan's attitude towards hygiene. The maid has a cute face, but she wears a mask to prevent infection. The same is true for passers-by. Always wear a mask if there are people within 5 meters of the circumference. I seriously recommend it to other countries! It is definitely effective against corona.
