Having lived in Japan for three years. ALL children are cheerful and energetic. Women, even older ones, all know how to act like that. It's a nation where everyone is more or less the same. It takes a bit of getting used to. People don't socialize in their homes, the do it in bars and restaurants so nightlife is huge. The restaurants and bar girls attract repeat lonely customers by becoming your friend. Sometimes the place has only four seats. It's normal to date a bar girl. You might even marry one. My neighbor in Bali did.
NO WAY! I visited @home at the same time, and I can see myself in this video! It was my first time coming home, and it's been so much fun that I'm aiming to become a silver by the end of my trip! I've managed to meet Mizukin a couple of times and she's been absolutely lovely.
How often do you need to go to receive silver status? Also by chance, since you're a fan at this point, do you know if you can find information on the cafe and maids in English online? Is there an active fandom?
Watching the maids give off such positive energy, I can’t help but smile throughout the video. I really respect how they always maintain such a cheerful smile when doing their job. Chimu is so cute!
This was absolutely unlike anything I have ever experienced. The closest thing to my experience would be Disneyland or Disney world where the actors play various characters. My husband and I watch every week and "go on vacations" in Japan with you and your husband. Thank you for all the beautiful videos. Much love to you and your from New Orleans, LA USA.
it was fun to see she mentioned that there is more english speaker prince and princess stopping by! because now I feel like I can go visit and enjoy visiting!

I know it is not for everyone, but I adore these cafes! Dressing up in pretty girly clothes to visit a maid cafe with friends to have the beautiful desserts is so fun, and we absolutely must take a picture with a maid next time! 💖 And watch the show! It is true the maids are always 17 years old 😄 Maid Chimu-chan looks so very young, I could not believe her experience is 11 years now 👀
OMG!! I was smiling at the screen even knowing that she could not see me lol. I loved her energy and now I want to go to a maid cafe! Aloha from Hawai'i!🌺🌺
Hooray for the second @Home video! It's nice to see how every maid brings a different flair to their moeness... Chimu-chan has a softer voice compared to other maids, it was like you were talking to a longtime friend! I hope that, by the time I'll visit the cafe, my japanese will be fluent enough to sustain a convo just as lively as this! Wait for me, Chimu-chan!
I admire this very much! The level of energy, constant smile and cheery is almost overwhelming to see in this video. But I bet it's an experience one will want to live over and over again. These young ladies must be paid well to do this. I hope sincerely hope they genuinely enjoy their work. Where else in the world would this happen?! Certainly not in the US. lol.
Even though I am foreigner, I've been there many times and yes, Chimu is amazing. She is always cheerful like this, it's not just an "act" for video. When I enter the store she is serving at she calls my name and wave at me the moment she sees me. It always makes me smile.
She is so freaking adorable!!! I love videos on the maid cafes because all of the maids are so cute. I think it would be so fun to visit one but I would never want to leave!
I 've watched both Chimu and Mizukin version. To me, Chimu's voice has more variation than Mizukin like she has high tone and deep tone when she speak. But Mizukin's way of goodbye is a bit better when she run to the entrace to waves at us. Just my thought. I adore them so much. Thank you for the video.
Her cheerfulness is very contagious, so impressed by how positive they can come across even if they have worked for many years now! Chimu made me smile so often during the video!
The maid right before the group photo at the beginning has a very beautiful smile. Looks like a very cute place to spend some time. Loved the live show.

Thank you for showing us the "At Home cafe", I was in Tokyo a year ago and I did not go to a maids cafe because I did not know what to expect. Thank you for sharing this experience, I think I will do it on my next trip.
As an older American I had no idea what to expect from his. This video was fun! The "maid" was a lovely young lady. Her costume, hair and makeup were amazing she clearly puts effort into every detail. I have no idea how she can keep that amount of positive energy going all day!
The maid that seats her in the beginning reminds me so much of Miku Kobato, founding member of the internationally acclaimed rock group, BAND-MAID. She has to be the most famous former @home maid and brings the maid cafe to the audiences with "Miku's omajani time" during concert breaks (MOE! MOE!). Miku honored @home by shooting the video for "Afterlife" in one of their cafes and using some of the maids and staff as extras, which can be seen here on YT. She greets us with "welcome home masters and princesses" at the start of the shows, and it truly feels like coming home for this fan.
omg i just love these videos!! the maids give off lots of positive energy, i can’t imagine how many ppl feeling down they already helped with their jobs. hats off!! its not easy
I've been to At Home, in Akihabara albeit not this specific one and I can tell you this isn't just for the cameras, they really are like this. I used to be a waiter and it can be a physical and tiring job but to maintain the character that they do all shift is incredible. These ladies deserve a huge amount of respect for their performance and the effort they put in. Much respect to Nanase.
I’ll have to place the @Home Cafe on my list of places to visit when I visit Japan. Chimu-chan’s genki attitude is so contagious! While I’m generally a cheerful person, I still have my down days and might have some trouble not letting it show. Honestly, I think maid outfits are so adorable and I would love to try wearing one. I think I would love to visit a maid cafe to get a feel for the atmosphere. As a figure skater, it would really be cool to do a program wearing a maid outfit skating to cheerful music just like that maid performance in the video.
Wow, I admire Chimu's professionalism. It would be hard to maintain that energy and stay in the role constantly. She''s amazing and committed to giving customers an unforgettable experience at a maid cafe.
the maids are so cute, i want draw fanart of them, but idk if can handle the amount of attention they personally give you, im just watching and im blushing and feeling embarrassed lol
I really enjoyed this video, the maid's really looked like the anima cartoons 😊, there beautiful, loved Chimu-Chan she's so beautiful, she's loving and caring, she really enjoys her job 😊. That Cafe was adorable 😊❤
Now that was quite a great visit to that Maid Cafe. The Maids there all seem to be full of smiles and high energy. Too bad I don't know Japanese to be able to communicate with them - thanks for the English subtitles. That large Parfait desert really looks good and very artistic in how they make them. Lastly, the Maids do a great entertainment show. Do they do several of these shows a night for customers??? Did you get your Princess Card back for next visit?? Thanks for the video and take care.
My Niece has really loved watching some of these videos, she wanted to dress up like one of the maids and sing, she also loves seeing your style too, she says it's very simple but very very cute. It's amazing seeing that much energy, especially learning Chimu had been there for 11 years. It's a special kind of place that you can be that happy at for that long. Niece was wondering if there were other theme cafes out there. We've heard of ones for Tokusatsu and even specific shows like Detective Conan, Demon Slayer and Dragonball, if you happen to visit one we would love to see it.
may I ask something? I don't know the Japanese culture so much, but It looks to me like the most depressing thing I have ever seen, the "keep smiling" effect x 3, just watching this video makes me sad, so the question... do you like doing this? or how do you feel about that? I wouldn't be surprised if one day one of the maid girls takes a knife and kills everyone :D really... It is so unnatural to me, it reminds me of the Joker and the endless sadness of the Joker, but maybe I'm wrong... I don't know, but this is what I feel
@@lillyarts2 Yeah... I know they are acting, but i don't know, i can see in my mind's eye, after the day is over, one maid girl says to the other, your turn is the next bottle of whisky :D could it be that this place is actually a response to a huge lack of love?
omg it was so cheerful, even through the screen I couldn't help but follow her energy. I get why people go there, must be such a mood lifter during down days.
I went to this same exact one 3 weeks ago and it was such a great time! The puppy curry was almost too cute to eat and everyone was so kind and bubbly! 10/10 will revisit on my next Japan trip!!
I was amazed not only by the amount of effort invested in emotions, energy and a smile. But! Does she remember every customer, and what he ordered and did? Unbelievable! Just imagine how many visitors there are in this cafe and you need to remember - what if they come back? When she begins to listen carefully to what the author of the video says, it is immediately clear that she is attentive and focused, and not only carefree and airy, like the cutest anime character! 👏 It's great to see her step out of character in these moments and after come back into it again.
in my experience, some will give you a card have your name written on it and your last order. so when you go back to the cafe, you can give the card to the server and give you a small discount.
I wish there were creative places like this in my country, but we only have the boring plain ones or expensive ones. This place makes you feel special from how they treat you like a princess or prince, so cool.
Funny, I was there a year ago too, but at the basic place on the other side of the street. Gosh, even with everything I missed from the language barrier and noise inside we still had a great time and would like to go back. Great job on your captions and your use of emoticons.
Aaa I'm so happy you returned to @home cafe! I really hope you're going more often. This is such a nice experience even just seeing it online. I really wanna go to there when I'm visiting Japan in autumn 💕
Many thanks for this video! I was in Tokyo for holiday at the end of July of this year, I was 9 days there. It was my first time there, it was my dream to travel there for many years for its gastronomy, its culture and its education. I had a very fun time there! Iwent to a maid café (not this), but it's very interesting to know other places in the Akihabara area. Where I went they also treated me very well, in fact, some of them also know English, which is a pleasure, since I spoke to them in Japanese with the translator (I know and understand some Japanese, but at a beginner level) and those who knew English responded to me in English. Personally, I love the maid aesthetic not only for its adorable, but also sexy touch. Although the Japanese still have a lot to improve in terms of employment, women and their personal relationships, I can say that once you go there, it is another world and in my case it took a big part of my heart 😊♥️. For that reason (and because I have to go to another concert that has one of my favorite bands there 💖) I may return to Tokyo in January, so I'll try to stop by this place! 😍 PS: I was left wanting a parfait, since I was going to go to a place where they prepared them but there was a line 😒. I already know where I'll take it next time 😁😂.
Especially compared to the butler cafe, 'at home' felt much more comfortable. Chimu-chan's cheerfulness was contagious and I imagine takes a lot of work! I could never possibly give like that while in the service industry 😅
I don't think I have smiled this much for a very long time. I loved the joy and the energy and just pure happiness that felt so genuine. I can't wait to visit chimu-chan!
What an adorable video. I was watching, doing the same activities and words as you were instructed. This was really a happy video. It cheered me up and one day i hope to visit this store. Thank you again. 🎉
Hi, thanks for sharing a video from @Home Cafe Main in Akihabara. I visited this exact cafe last Thursday, it was the best cafe experience of my life, and I'm not much of a cafe guy 🙂 I had my wife and daughter with me and we loved it. I will be back next time we're in Tokyo 🙂
かわいいとあかるい ♡ what a wonderful job to get to dress cute, act super cute, and all around just be cute and share that energy and make other people happy and brighten their day. This made me smile the whole time I was watching. Cuteness is so fulfilling to me and makes me so happy; I would love to be able to do this! 💓
Personally, I'm allergic to all these ceremonies 🤣 But the waitresses are lovely and you can tell they put a lot of effort into their work. Keep up the splendid work, girls! 👍
I really want to take the courage and visit one those cafes once, last time in japan i couldnt. Coming from a country known for hospitality i would just spend 90% of the time telling the maids "thank you for you time" and "Im sorry". Add on top of that you cannot tip in japan, i sure would have done that by mistake given the quality of service and roleplay. Their positive energy is over the top, their job must be really hard. Maybe next time.
I don't know if these cafes were around when I was in Japan (1998 -2003), but if they were, I regret never visiting them. They look like a lot of fun! It seems like also the kind of place where a lot of guests would dress up in cosplay to visit.
-just to add a bit to reservations, even if you are in a group of 4-5 people, you usually dont need to reserve. The only time you really need to reserve is if they have an event going on which they announce on their main twitter when those are happening/reservations are required. -whenever ive been, ive not really seen the bells except for on the actual tables. If you are seated on the rows in front of where OP is sitting, you just put your hand up and politely say "excuse me" -in addition to the 2 shot cheki, you can also get "collection cheki" which is a solo picture of the maid you prefer. This also guarantees you some extra talk time directly with your preferred maid as they will decorate it at your table. -also, when it comes to the mini live i dont know how often they do it, but in the many times i've been, i think its only happened something like 1 in 20 times
The truth is that they are heroes trying to make others' days better. In Japan there has always been the myth that people are emotionally flat, but have a huge heart.

I feel that maid cafes in Ikebukuro and other areas have many female customers.

I dont speak a Word japanese but she could sell me anything with this level of enthusiasm.
These maids really do brighten your day
the maids are so cute, i want draw fanart of them, but idk if can handle the amount of attention they personally give you, im just watching and im blushing and feeling embarrassed lol
I really enjoyed this video, the maid's really looked like the anima cartoons 😊, there beautiful, loved Chimu-Chan she's so beautiful, she's loving and caring, she really enjoys her job 😊. That Cafe was adorable 😊❤
Very cute. I like Chimu-chan, but the others have their own charm. Also, the "food" looks very good!
Thanks for the video and take care.
oh my gosh I didn't realize maid cafes were this cute! 😭
major props to the maids for putting so much energy into their work, it's really impressive!
I cant, I got so bored of this cuteness overload. My brain is screaming! Its amazing how they can keep up this kind of work. They might get paid alot.
We've heard of ones for Tokusatsu and even specific shows like Detective Conan, Demon Slayer and Dragonball, if you happen to visit one we would love to see it.
being a maid must be really fun but my social anxiety could never 😭
Do you have social phobia
So true 😭
may I ask something? I don't know the Japanese culture so much, but It looks to me like the most depressing thing I have ever seen, the "keep smiling" effect x 3, just watching this video makes me sad, so the question... do you like doing this? or how do you feel about that? I wouldn't be surprised if one day one of the maid girls takes a knife and kills everyone :D really... It is so unnatural to me, it reminds me of the Joker and the endless sadness of the Joker, but maybe I'm wrong... I don't know, but this is what I feel
@@Chaos174 theyre essentially acting. kind of like in haunted houses with the actors? i hope that makes sense, im pretty sure theyre fine lol
@@lillyarts2
Yeah... I know they are acting, but i don't know, i can see in my mind's eye, after the day is over, one maid girl says to the other, your turn is the next bottle of whisky :D
could it be that this place is actually a response to a huge lack of love?
1 ans après et c est toujours le même delire un fun incroyable et une énergie de fou chapeau pour tenir comme ça toute la journée je valide
omg it was so cheerful, even through the screen I couldn't help but follow her energy. I get why people go there, must be such a mood lifter during down days.
This place and all the Maids are truly amazing.😊😢 They take my Stress and heartache away.
Everything are so adorable in the cafe also the maids are so kind and kawaii💖💖🌸🌸💟💌
Very fancy Maid Cafe. Enjoyed the video. Thank you to Chimu and you.
Chimu chan es tan linda!! 💞✨ ^^ es muy alegre y linda, espero le vaya muy bien! Buen video
I am Japanese and I have been here and the maids were very cute☺️ 💕
I recommend it!
She's a professional! I can't imagine keeping that kind of energy up, I hope that she is treated well.
PS: I was left wanting a parfait, since I was going to go to a place where they prepared them but there was a line 😒. I already know where I'll take it next time 😁😂.
i remember watching your last video at the maid cafe before i went to japan! i’m so happy i got to visit during my trip
OMG IM SO HAPPY YOU CAME BACK AGAIN ❤❤❤ these videos are so healing ❤❤
Especially compared to the butler cafe, 'at home' felt much more comfortable. Chimu-chan's cheerfulness was contagious and I imagine takes a lot of work! I could never possibly give like that while in the service industry 😅
they tip is expensive and good enviroment but what i hate is they work full time and they price can make she not stand forever

I don't think I have smiled this much for a very long time. I loved the joy and the energy and just pure happiness that felt so genuine. I can't wait to visit chimu-chan!
It's such a lovely cafe. I would love to go there one day.... Imagine you've had a tough day at work. You come here and forget about all your worries
What an adorable video. I was watching, doing the same activities and words as you were instructed. This was really a happy video. It cheered me up and one day i hope to visit this store.
Thank you again. 🎉
I must say that I find peace, At that moment it was like I was in an anime. Great respect for those who do their job properly.
Me siento renovada después de ver este video, hasta siento que me he encariñado de Chimu-chan! 💜 Que agradable atención, demasiado adorable 😭🤍🤍🤍🤍
Thank you for this video! Hope to see @home in a real live someday! 😍
That was one of the most extraordinary videos I have ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
OMG!! I love it!! I needed this moe recharge. Thank you so much!!
I see why people love this place it's SOOO DAMN CUTE!!!!! It just oozes cuteness.. if I could go this will be the only place to go to
Personally, I'm allergic to all these ceremonies 🤣
But the waitresses are lovely and you can tell they put a lot of effort into their work.
Ahrenet!!! How many energy from this girls! If in one day come 50 clients - how can they serve so many people?
Chimu is so cute, but this must be a hard job... Nice Video 👍😊
This is so beautiful one of my dreams is visiting Japan and going to a Maid caffe 💖
Watching this made me so happy
love the energy I wish there was a place like this near my home
I don't know if these cafes were around when I was in Japan (1998 -2003), but if they were, I regret never visiting them. They look like a lot of fun! It seems like also the kind of place where a lot of guests would dress up in cosplay to visit.
-just to add a bit to reservations, even if you are in a group of 4-5 people, you usually dont need to reserve. The only time you really need to reserve is if they have an event going on which they announce on their main twitter when those are happening/reservations are required.
-whenever ive been, ive not really seen the bells except for on the actual tables. If you are seated on the rows in front of where OP is sitting, you just put your hand up and politely say "excuse me"
-in addition to the 2 shot cheki, you can also get "collection cheki" which is a solo picture of the maid you prefer. This also guarantees you some extra talk time directly with your preferred maid as they will decorate it at your table.
-also, when it comes to the mini live i dont know how often they do it, but in the many times i've been, i think its only happened something like 1 in 20 times
I honestly could not be that happy happy high energy props to her
しっかり給仕されてるプロ意識凄い!
Throughout the vid I can't help but ask how on earth can these women be cheerful I Know its just a job but dang i am impressed
Chimuさんは相変わらず可愛いですね! at-homeカフェ最高です! 600名を超えるメイドが圧倒的な可愛さとサービスは常にハイレベル。
I’m not into the maid stuff really but this is still really cute and you can tell how hard they work
I ENJOYED THIS SO MUCH !!! CHIMU CHAN KAWAII
Fantastic btw I aspect that the previous maid was there but she is also nice😊
The truth is that they are heroes trying to make others' days better. In Japan there has always been the myth that people are emotionally flat, but have a huge heart.
