- You knew it was going to happen and here it is. Adam finally has a chance to get an NR out on the road for a proper Sunday ride. The Honda NR is about as Iconic as it gets, and remains a marvel of design and technology to this day. Needless to say, Adam gets a little excited in this one!

Yeah, the kickstand is one of my favorite parts of this bike. It is just so extra!

Very nice! I remember this bike when it was introduced and the magazines doing a review on it, I saw one in person back in the day but it was way outside my price range.
My love for motorcycles and their history actually the 1987 VFR750R (RC30) and 1988 Honda Hawk GT (RC31) were some of the first bikes to have the single sided swingarm similar to todays styling.
i discovered this bike today and i think it's absolutely... incredible. The detail on the kickstand, the beautifull design of the fairing, the exhaust, the swingarm and the rear rim, I'm out of breath !

Such a cool bike I have seen one in person and it's so bad ass . I mean today's Ducati's V4 Street Fighter is a better looking bike or The mighty MV dragster with the red rims and black spokes is my all time most beautiful bike ever The Lewis Hamilton edition is truly a sight to be seen . This bike tho when it came out it was so exotic. Now you look at the tail section and it's like well I could use some storage there .
Wow! I had forgotten all about that bike. I can't remember if I've ever seen video of it! Catching the briefest glimpse of the bit of green and red on the bike on the left 4:10, I instantly thought BIMOTA! Are they still around and do you have any! Remember the Tesi, and wasn't there a Tuatara :)
That red/white/green bike is actually a Ducati Panigale, but we do have several Bimotas! We've sold a couple of Tesis and V-Dues, and we also have a 0-mile SB8R as well as a Santamonica. We love our Bimotas, and we also have a Tesi 3D currently available for sale:

1994年に916を発売する際にタンブリーニ氏が、ＮＲのデザインに影響を受けたと言っていました。
ＮＲは希少価値の高いバイクです。大切に乗って行きましょう。
I love the windscreen ... I run the Magical Racing supercoat windscreen on my zx10 and old 1199r and they are unreal clear .. just a bit pricey . When I fly out your way in Fed/March for work I want to stop in and say hi and check out a NC35 if you have any. It’s Pharmfedson btw . Your living the dream bro keep it up so I can continue to live victoriously through you 😂
Adam. Thank you again for sharing #112 during my visit to Iconic. It was a day i will never forget. To finally see, hear and sit on that bike was fantastic last year. Honda really do know how to waste huge amounts of money on R&D projects, this bike's predecessor was built for racing & was a total unreliable flop, Honda had so much money in it, they still went ahead with this, the customer road version NR750 even knowing it was an engineering disaster, Honda squandered millions on this project & never made a bean.

I've only ever seen one in the flesh, and that was at the Honda museum in Motegi.

If they would catch you doing 100kph within urban limits they would take your license and matter of transportation and hit you with a massive fine and a courtdate, where i'm from.
So badass, I had a diecast one as a kid. As an adult I assumed it was a cbr and my memory of it was just mixed with something else but the black bottom with the lettering on the red paint and exhaust out the back and the shape of the front fairing are by far one of my favorite looks deff a bucket list bike for sure

It was the last time I saw Mr SENGOKU riding as a martial bike on the course of the 8-hour endurance road race at Suzuka Circuit in 2003, and I haven't seen the MR750 running since then.
This is a supreme work of art created by the Japanese

Back when this thing came out, my local dealer, in the middle of nowhere in The Netherlands (Safe Motoren, Staphorst), had one of these for sale! It cost 10 times as much as a CBR 600 F.

@@IconicMotorbikes i heard it has to do with our climate and sheer amount of road traffic. The asphalt gets bad when it barely rains and gets dry, then suddenly it rains a lot for a little bit. Couple that with the heavy traffic in california, its bad for the roads. Also the state is BIG so theres a lot of road to repair. I've been seeing a lot more freeway work done nowadays but theres a lot of road to cover in cali
The ELF system was a French development no?
I believe so, I heard from someone at Honda that quite a bit of development came out of Europe so I'm not entirely sure what he was referring too but I believe ELF was French, I'm sure someone will help us, I'd like to know also

to build this bike the Japanese were inspired by the old 8-cylinder guzzi.
I was lucky enough to see one in Suffolk, England last year at a motorbike show, and it was raining!
The screen is coated with titanium that's why it give off the blue colour.

When you were getting up in the high rpm's the engine sound echo'd something like the "big bang" Honda GP 500's in the the 90's!!! There maybe an engine development connection between those bikes..?
I think the NR was even-firing. The big-bang engines were 2-stroke. A big-bang configuration in a 2-stroke is probably just a normal day at the office for a 4-stroke. My understanding is the NR team and NS teams at Honda were mostly separate. The NR500 was a Manhattan Project type undertaking to drag 4-strokes back into competition, whereas the NS was a small 2-stroke side project to hedge their bets in case the NR couldn't catch the Yamahas and Suzukis. The NS proved way more successful, eventually taking over and becoming the monstrous NSR series including the big-bang bikes. The NR project got this super sexy 750 street bike as a sort of going-away present and love letter.

Very nice! I only saw once personally, in the 90's. Lovely. Years later I had a nsr 125, 2strokes, inspired on this bike. For how much are these things going nowadays?
We've sold two on our auction site in the last couple of months, one for $125,832 and one for $131,182.

@@Vapod sadly, not yet. We've received two V-Dues, both with zero miles so we didn't want to ride them. One was a runner that we sold, the other does not run currently and it's in our display hall at the shop!
