Wow, this Dude is all over it. So glad I found this Channel.
This is what Mr. Hogan did.
Thank You Sir.
Grateful Aussie.
Tain, you have one of most beautiful golfswings I have ever seen. I wish you much success in your golf career!
This is one of Dr. Kwon's very best. It obviously doesnt hurt to have such a good subject to work with....
Dr Kwon, thank you for sharing your knowledge. The more I watch these reprogramming sessionss ( appropriately named) , the more details I learn. I love those questions from Tain.
I really appreciated whenever how often Tain Lee would ask what the rationale was for each of Dr. Kwon’s recommendations. Dr. Kwon, of course, had an immediate succinct answer ready
I thank both teacher and student. Each phase you taught built on previous stage and explanation for movement made my thinking desire the movement.
I just biked down to our beach in Costa Rica to practice by throwing frizbees left handed. This drill is amazing as it encourages weight shift back, lowering while re-centering to top and left leg push as left arm unleashes frizbee. The more you keep back to target before unleashing the further the frizbee goes. FYI I used cork coasters instead of real frizbees. Thank you Dr. Kwon!
Exactly!
I love seeing more of bright future elite pro golfers are getting helped by Dr. Kwon.
The theory of the kick and stuck elbow remedied with making left side emphasis was really explained well here.
33:00 is Absolute GOLD - have more vertical rotation/twist through impact elongates force along the handle and cause the club head to be more stable, and creates a longer flat spot near the bottom of the arc.
39:33 Is gold. Tiger said "the arms have to win the race"
감사합니다박사님^^
네~
My God, Tain Lee has a SPECTACULARLY GOOD golfswing!
As always, thank you for your immensely useful session videos. I have a question. All of your reprogramming sessions work with the driver. It is important to get a positive angle of attack with the driver, which calls for teeing it up rather high, like the tee shown here, and positioning the ball off the inside of the left toe. That means that the bottom of the swing will be behind the ball so that the club head will be on a rising arc when it contacts the ball. It seems that this implies there must be some degree of staying back to get the correct arc with the driver. In contrast, with an iron it is important to swing down on the ball and have the bottom of the swing arc come in front of the ball. You emphasize re-centering. Does the difference in the two types of swing mean that there is more re-centering, more shifting the weight on to the lead foot, with an iron compared with the driver? Of course, positioning the ball more in the center of the stance with an iron plays a role in getting the bottom of the arc ahead of the ball, but it seems to me that there are definite differences in weight shift and re-centering between the two types of club.
It is most important to develop a fundamental motion pattern. It is always easier to develop the pattern with a longer club and transfer the pattern to the shorter clubs with adjustments, not the other way. The iron swings can be adjusted by reducing the size of BS and degree of shift. These changes are essentially a function of the inertial characteristics of the club and those with sufficiently-developed motor system should be able to make adjustments depending on the inertial properties of the club.
@@drkwongolf Thank you. I must have told about 30 or more golfers I have met at the range I go to or on the courses I play to look up your videos, and have recommended your approach precisely to, as you say, "develop a fundamental motion pattern." I stress I am not giving them "tips" but rather a way to get that basic movement sequence ingrained. I have especially recommended studying your videos for young and beginning golfers. I take care to add that the pro I go to says Dr. Kwon is a genius so they know this is not just coming from me. I am 81 and have been playing for 60 years, but thanks to videos like yours I am still learning from the ground up and know far more about the dynamics of the swing, and actually have a better swing, than when I was young. The only thing in your comment that made me worry was when you said, "those with sufficiently developed motor system." By that, do you mean highly developed athletic reflexes and flexibility? I try, but I'm just an amateur. Again, thanks so much.
@@drkwongolf less degree of shift with irons?
Where is this new training facility?
One Under Academy, Cincinnati, OH
Hi Dr kwon, thank you so much for sharing these videos. I was wondering if you recommend the step drill with the orange whip or similar weighted training club or is it better with the club itself?
You can certainly use the OW in the step drills.
You have a Foresight GC Quad launch monitor there. Did you measure Tain's initial speed and speed after the changes? Assume you did a full swing analysis as he is a pro.
No swing analysis. This session was not pre-planned.
Mr young hoo I've been listening to you for 4 months I have dropped 28 Strokes yes 28 Strokes I'm from Michigan can I send you a video things are definitely working my hips are sore
Congrats! 28 strokes is a lot! Please post your swing clips to the SNS and let me know so that I can take a look at.
I'm sorry where is Sns
Facebook or Instagram.
Thank you
Feel the flow- oh yea, what? Probably feels like a lot of swaying off the ball but gets 30 more yards? Too natural for most PGA teachers. Need some P1 discussion🤦🏻♂️. Probably why a blend of golf biomechanics and College research will change the game. I’ll bet, the less we know about golf the quicker we can learn or improve. So many preconceived false perceptions and ideas cloud our minds. Excellent information… Don’t forget to keep your head down, left arm straight, and swing back slow and in one piece😂
More often than not, one's knowledge on golf actually hinders the learning process. ^_^
Good explanation of kicking the leg who's the Dork that wants camera time
Oh sorry about complaining about your friend
It’s seems like he doesn’t trust what Dr Kwon is saying. He seems like he knows better yet he sought a lesson with him 🤔
It is understandable considering his level. It is dangerous to change the swing substantially during the season.
Rlx… the guy is a pro…
Pros talk to lots of coaches. They don't always adopt every idea. Bobby Clampett wrote a book basically ranting that bad coaching ruined his game due to inappropriate swing changes. It's a tricky business.
Whose that other guy interrupts the lessons which is very rude ? 🫣
Yer what is he doing. We will call him "Thrush" irritating nuisance.
He is a good friend of mine. He was a part of the teamwork.
@@drkwongolf that's crazy he's a good friend get rid of them
@@gregsuske2131 Let's remember that the video is just a by-product of the person receiving the lesson (and paying for it!)
@@drkwongolf People don't understand the complexity of producing these videos and the teamwork involved on your end and the elite player's side. Keep up the great work. Much appreciated.
