Broken Chairs is just an amazing song... ot sounds like hope and despair... and longing for something... like walking aimlessly in a desert and finding an oasis... the lyrics are flawless and the music is just perfect. One of my favorite songs and this live version is the best on out there.

And "broken" suggests violence and trauma, or simply the aftermath of a particularly horrific fight. Such amazing lyrics and melody. Argh. Always that band, and that song is one of their finest. Doug is without a doubt one if not the most talented rock songwriter of his generation.
