The new RS6/7/RSQ8 really need that soft limiter delete. I just shot an RSQ8 with no limiters, downpipes and sport cats and it sounds out of this world. So the engine has lots of potential. Your green beast will be missed Mat.
They should include it in one of the performance packs or just delete it entirely across their entire range of s and rs cars, including the rs6 rs7 and rsq8

Mat, the weird sound from the shock absorbers is a piece of plastic saving the shock absorbers from dust. It's yellowish and wrapped around the damper and visible when the car is lifted up. I've got it fixed on my A6 yesterday 👍 it wasn't fit in straight but a little dislocated
That noise in the interior is the rear left seatbelt buckle as you pointed to the left rear side of the car. My dads 2019 Q7 had the same issue. The seatbelt buckle will rub up against metal under the seat which causes the noise.
17:16 I 100% agree. One thing Audi does very well is the look/shape of the RS6. To me, it is the best looking wagon, and in some ways look way better than many other "sport" sedans, by far.
Regarding the comparison between RS6 and E63s. My father has an RS6 since February and he really appreciated the Quattro AWD here in the german winter. Compared to the E63s it seems to be more stable and planted? But yea, according to what he says it could be said that the RS6 is the better and more secure daily driver, whereas the E63s is a bit more wild and exciting. But as for the drift argument, I've never seen anyone here in germany drift their cars. It's really a non-factor.

His AMG GT is just not suited to haul stuff, get groceries or when it's Christmas time: getting a tree xD Two seaters suck for that exact reason in my opinion, that's why wagons are the best cars in my opinion. But yea, optically I like the RS4 more too, since it's cleaner. Same goes for the F80 M3 and C63, I like them all more than their bigger siblings xD
That suspension noise is with the adaptive suspension. I bought a brand new RS5 when they first came out in 2017. Did less than 1000 miles and I had to reject it as Audi couldn’t fix it. Good to see they figured it out then......🙃
also for those of you who are a little slow on the draw, if you are on PC or MAC you can go forwards or backwards in UA-cam frame by frame if you use the "." and "," keys.

Great video Matt. I bought a new Vorsprung RS6 in Jan. Creaked and rattled. Needed a new water pump after 2 months. More creaks, rattles, buzzes. Got rid of it & now in an X5M Competition (Ultimate Pack). SO much better and superb build quality and with massage seats. Not discernably slower. A superb machine.

And this is why I bought an A6 Avant 2.0 diesel S Line. Looks, luxury, technology, comfort and it just eats up miles like it's nothing, and I know I almost never would use the extra power, it's just a waste of money. And no problems whatsoever with the touch controls, easy to use, don't distract me more than the normal climate controls I had on my A5 Sportback.
I think if you are just going to have 1 car, this is pretty much the best car you can buy. If I were a rich man, I'd probably get a sports coupe and a pickup truck, but if I were only semi-rich, or I just decided I wanted only 1 car, this is definitely the one I would take

The weird noise from the back corner is most likely the bushing that connects the anti roll bars to the suspension. They are notorious for making that “trapped monkey” noise 😁
I would choose the RS6. I have an A4 Avant Prestige and it is such a comfortable driving car. It is truly a great car. The RS6 is a sports car in an estate body
I think all audis make that sound in the rear corner when going on a weird angled bump. I've had an A6, and two S5's and they all did it. They also all started getting rattles in different spots after a couple years
Hey Mat, just a little correction: Min 11:15: the Side mirror has a blind spot warning light, which is the dark glass on the inside. The tiny light at the far end of the mirror is not a blind spot warning, but the actual indicator light, so it shows u that you have the indicator light on 😉 Otherwise i still am a fan of your channel 😜 keep up the great work. because of a very cool neighbour this car was - after a fiat 500 - the second car i ever drove being 18 years old and omg it is fire. and i drove it in very tight spots as a beginner. So being able to get it home safe everytime - it sure was really manoeuvrable and easy to drive.
I‘ve recently had a regular A6 wagon for a couple of months and it had the same shock absorber issue, but it was WAY worse, later on it began to squeak on the other side as well. The guy at Audi told me it was an easy fix but a fairly common occurrence.

For my rs3. Even if I’m in dynamic mode, I go into neutral and then I have to press dynamic mode again to open the valves. It does sound a little better even with the soft limited.
RS6 looks good, and would be a dream to own. VW-Group quality would/should preclude that dream for manifesting (i.e. besides finances). If you are lucky to drive it for 6-months, on someone elses $$$, then sure, it's worth "owning".

nice video! funny part is: I actually know where the "low lvl conversation monkey" is coming from. Had it in my Audi as well. Its from the rear shock absorbers where they worked in a hard rubber (or plastic) dirt guard. This dirt guard sometimes pops out of its guidance and is then compressed while driving. Thats where the sounds are produced. If not popped in again, the sound gets worse over time :-D
There shouldn’t be be cup holders in cars either for the reasons you mention, if you want a drink, stop somewhere, have a comfort stop, stretch your legs, maybe a bit to eat if you feel like it, drinking and driving is a distraction,and, if the cup holder has a grip like Arnie Schwartzeneger your going to get hot beverage everywhere you don’t want, not to mention the odour as it dries out.
Hey Mat, that's weird with the navigation system. I have the S3 2019 and it does replicate to the digital cockpit. Not sure where the bug is, on your or on my side :D Anyway, I like the built-in navsys much more - nicer voice and same quality. Never been in traffic jam, even on 5tkm road trip.

In my 2018 golf R and wife's 2018 Q5 S-line, we have the same issue and the OEM maps system does not have traffic data unless you subscribe to it for like $4-5 a month and even if you do it's GARBAGE! they need to start listening to customers and allow their systems to be a little more integrated to apple carplay / android auto as that is what everyone is moving towards. Side note - the spotify music also doesn't display properly on the digital dash which is really frustrating!

I think all audis make that sound in the rear corner when going on a weird angled bump. I've had an A6, and two S5's and they all did it. They also all started getting rattles in different spots after a couple years

Min 11:15: the Side mirror has a blind spot warning light, which is the dark glass on the inside. The tiny light at the far end of the mirror is not a blind spot warning, but the actual indicator light, so it shows u that you have the indicator light on 😉

because of a very cool neighbour this car was - after a fiat 500 - the second car i ever drove being 18 years old and omg it is fire. and i drove it in very tight spots as a beginner. So being able to get it home safe everytime - it sure was really manoeuvrable and easy to drive.

The RS6 is my ideal only car
I‘ve recently had a regular A6 wagon for a couple of months and it had the same shock absorber issue, but it was WAY worse, later on it began to squeak on the other side as well. The guy at Audi told me it was an easy fix but a fairly common occurrence.
Had the same with my RS4. Got so sick trying to sort it (many thousands later) just got rid.
Absolutely no chance of mistaking the next daily for something else 🐽🤣

the twin turbo v8 is overkill but the car is well over $100k, so i love that it has it.
For my rs3. Even if I’m in dynamic mode, I go into neutral and then I have to press dynamic mode again to open the valves. It does sound a little better even with the soft limited.

VW-Group quality would/should preclude that dream for manifesting (i.e. besides finances).
If you are lucky to drive it for 6-months, on someone elses $$$, then sure, it's worth "owning".

funny part is: I actually know where the "low lvl conversation monkey" is coming from. Had it in my Audi as well. Its from the rear shock absorbers where they worked in a hard rubber (or plastic) dirt guard. This dirt guard sometimes pops out of its guidance and is then compressed while driving. Thats where the sounds are produced. If not popped in again, the sound gets worse over time :-D

There shouldn’t be be cup holders in cars either for the reasons you mention, if you want a drink, stop somewhere, have a comfort stop, stretch your legs, maybe a bit to eat if you feel like it, drinking and driving is a distraction,and, if the cup holder has a grip like Arnie Schwartzeneger your going to get hot beverage everywhere you don’t want, not to mention the odour as it dries out.

Hey Mat, that's weird with the navigation system. I have the S3 2019 and it does replicate to the digital cockpit. Not sure where the bug is, on your or on my side :D Anyway, I like the built-in navsys much more - nicer voice and same quality. Never been in traffic jam, even on 5tkm road trip.
14:05 THANK YOU MATT for addressing that annoying issue with the google maps not able to replicate in the digital dash! In my 2018 golf R and wife's 2018 Q5 S-line, we have the same issue and the OEM maps system does not have traffic data unless you subscribe to it for like $4-5 a month and even if you do it's GARBAGE! they need to start listening to customers and allow their systems to be a little more integrated to apple carplay / android auto as that is what everyone is moving towards. Side note - the spotify music also doesn't display properly on the digital dash which is really frustrating!
