What a day! Numbers and some really decent size cats! Were you drifting with the current and using your trolling motor to slow your drift? Are you maintaining bottom contact with the weights? 👍🏻
Yes, using trolling motor to control speed. Was running between .5 through .7 and steadily raising and lowering weights keeping them roughly 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 foot off bottom. I prefer 4 foot because I feel like I get a better hook up ratio with them a little higher up, and I have a little more leeway time when I start moving into shallower water or over some humps. Thank you for your comment. I appreciate it when people ask questions it helps me remember to try and add some of this into the videos.
Now that's a good day on the river! I'm hoping to take my first trip down on the Ohio around Marietta in a couple weeks. What area of the Ohio are you usually on?
I guess so. But I’d rather drop him in the water than in the boat. Ha ha he was giving me some trouble. When they start sticking their tongue out, it’s hard to get a hold of them and that thing was Buckwild, I already knew better as soon as it got going😂😂
@chrishall3309 well more like 33 mph alone plus I’ve got two 75 pound batteries in my consul for my trolling motor so if I had lighter batteries, I probably get 35
If a person was to, accidentally of course, not pull up their Danforth style anchor all the way before they motored over trotlines and hoop nets that would be a darn shame.
Great Video Bro !!! Some hogs this go around!!!
Yeah buddy, this was a good day. This big front we got here got us all slow down right now. We need a couple more days and they should be ready to go.

What kind of boat do you got? And what size and your power plant
It’s a 19 foot smoker craft with a 90 hp
What kind of speed do you get
@chrishall3309 35

I got a 1670 crestliner with 60 seeing how close your boat is to mine i can only get 27mp
Don’t get too many days like that around here
It’s unfortunate
