I am a member of this church, and let me tell you, this organ supports congregational singing beautifully. When the church is full, the hymn singing is pure joy!
Talk about the congregation absorbing sound reminds me of a recital I once attended in an Episcopal Church. The Rector, welcoming people and introducing the organist, explained that to improve the acoustics all the pew cushions had been removed for the recital. He added that he would be most grateful if anyone were prepared to go out and take their clothes off further to improve the acoustics. Curiously, nobody took him up on this.
A wonderful organ based on the North-German Organ style! Congratulations for this great instrument!
Greetings from Germany
T & B are certainly one of the premiere American organ builders. 👍❤️
Love the 1' Octave. Every organ needs at least one! Sadly, far too many organs are lacking a 1' stop.
Such dedication from the builders! The complexity of an organ build is astonishing. Thank you Balint for posting this. God bless your work!
These gentlemen are national treasures!
you give us a truely exeptional example of inclusion : we get the biological, geographical, architectural, musical footprints of this organ. the craftsmanship of John Boody and George Taylor is the envy of the north-german organ world...
Such a treat to be watching this on my Saturday afternoon!! =)
Thank you Balint. What a fine instrument. Great demonstration and fascinating discussion.
Fantastic vlog. Thank you so much for the great job producing this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
very excited for this
Thoroughly enjoyed the video and the discussion. Thanks for making and sharing.
Wait, did he say "Wheaton College," as in Wheaton, Illinois? Wow! My old stomping grounds.
Thank you so much for sharing this awesome vid! Right, the woods are into that exquisite music, this instrument is a singing wood! Great, marvelous job! Plenty of congratulations!🌲🍃🌸🏞️👌👏👍
Great job. Learned a lot from T&B. Lots of work for you, but great for the viewer. Thank you.
Thank you for giving us these wonderful videos. You chose an outstanding builder in Taylor & Boody.
Fantastic video, it's good to know that traditional north german organ building is still alive!
This was excellent!
Very nice sound
I like the video, thank you very much
Nice one.
👀...assistindo direto do Brasil. ..💪
Kind rrgards from Brazil 💚💛
Who is the builder mentioned at 16:41. I hear "Andreas Demarre," but I can't find a reference. Could you help clear up the actual name of the pre-Schnitger person he is referring to? Thanks.
it is"WER ! nur den lieben Gott lässt walten"
Wer nur die lieben Gott
❤
WOW
What is the voicing of this organ
What a wonderful chuffy sound - methinks totally wasted on congregational singing....
Ever since this organ was installed in 1980, this church (of which I am a member) has sponsored a free concert series featuring various guest artists. Indeed, Mr. Karosi himself has performed in this series on at least two occasions. Visit www.westminsterorganconcertseries.org/ . The primary purpose of this instrument, however, remains the enhancement of the worship of God.
Very very poor taste having your vid interrupted with ads. I’ll subscribe again once you have fixed this.
I am doing these videos for free the only small revenue I have is from ads and the generous support of my Patrons on Patreon. They get the ad-free versions of my videos for as little as $4 a month.
@@bkarosi Your vids used to be ad-free. I already pay for internet and data. I’m on fixed income. I’m not paying another dime for what i used to get for no extra charge.
@@Diapason16ft If you listen on a computer download and install
'Enhancer for UA-cam' and you can stop unwanted ads.
What makes you think someone's work should be free?

@@EduardQualls I did. My channel has a thousand of them.
