Just so you are aware, the Waveshare board featured here has a known issue sending long messages and the TX power is well below stated output on Meshtastic. The issue is being discussed on the official Meshtastics Discord (Linux), hopefully it will be fixed soon.
@@grahamwebber9208 A few weeks too late for me, unfortunately. Any recommendations for hardware that does work? (Other than FrequencyLabs, which is just too expensive even before shipping is factored in).
I'm experimenting with the Raspberry Pi 5 and this hat now. It's not connecting. The GPIO may be different though. We'll see how this goes... Thanks for the Pi 4 video!
Interesting, looking forward to the next episode 👍
More to come!
Subscribed for the software setup video. I was putting off doing this exact project with the same hardware
Should be doing the video tomorrow. Watch this space...
Greetings, can the raspberry pi that you connect with an ethernet cable work as a substitute for wifi sir?

That is useful info. Thanks for bringing it to my attention !
@fotografm update: This is a crystal issue that can't be fixed. My advice is to keep clear.

Please keep us updated once you have worked it out !
@ It works! I’m all setup on Pi 5. Most issues I had were just me being a meshtastic newb.
Thanks 👍
Thank you for watching !
Hi Simon, do you have a github repository with the code? I have the same module but I'm having some trouble to configure this. Thanks!
Hi Ivan. I got the code from github.com/meshtastic/firmware
@@fotografm Thank you, Sir. That was a great video! I have all this configured now with the code.
