The triangle doesn't make any sense? Spelling, sound? what? When reading the consonants I'm not sure what is going on. What is the letter? What is the example? This is kinda unclear.
The top of the triangle is the letter as it's written in roman. The left of the triangle is how you call the letter (think of Sesame Street: "brought to you by the letter Em"). The right of the triangle is how the letter is pronounced within the context of a word.
Matt M 1. On the top is how it's written, 2. On bottom left is the name of the letter in Vietnamese, 3. On bottom right is the the phonetic of how to pronounce the letter in combination with other letters plus the tones.
Slight clarification here - Hindi is not based on symbols : The script used to write Hindi is called devanagari and like English or Vietnamese script, It is an Abugida script, which means unlike Chinese where the symbols convey an Idea - The alphabets convey a sound making it possible to write almost any words wether it has meaning or not.
y in Vietnamese is simply i but when used alone (y ý ỳ ỷ ỹ ỵ) are used to represent words of Sino-Vietnamese (Chinese) origin. As much as 60% of Vietnamese words are 'borrowed' from Chinese. Elsewhere the letter y (same pronunciation as i) is used when the 'i' sound acts as the word initial. (eg. yến, yêu...) It's also used before the letter u to differentiate between the sounds -ui (ooy) and -uy (ooee/wee).

Haha based on the "Roman" Alphabet. It's the "Latin" Alphabet. The Romans were an Empire. Latin was the language they spoked. Then the language splintered into other multiple languages. 张三丰 The đ is D in english, the t is like t in english but harsher. d kinda sounds like the "th" they, that gi is kinda like "y" is yo. tr is harder sound of "ch" like that in chain. Norther Vietnamese doesnt differentiate between d and gi and tr and ch.

The pronunciation for dau nga and dau hoi sounded really forced and unnatural. Lol I caught a little mistake, "and sound doc la bo" at 6:49. I think you meant, "and the sound is pronounced...". No worries, I sometimes stick random Vietnamese in my sentences when I'm switching back and forth between Vietnamese and English too quickly.
Well, this is the north accent, which is easier. I have no idea why, but I prefer the south one. The south R is more like a plain Z sound and S is pronounced just like the north X. X is still the same. D is more like a Ts in English, but can sometimes sound like a plain Z. Also, you forgot to mention that K is used only before I and E, Ch is like Tch in Catch and that G becomes Z before I or E. And Q is used only if the following U has the 1st tone (no tone).

This is southern Vietnamese. Northen Vietnamese will pronouce "qu" as "kw" not "w", thus "Kwốc Ngữ"
