I agree about the emotion factor. I'm not even into most Toyotas, but when I purchased my 2021 Toyota Venza(now totaled, unfortunately) I have to admit that there was a sense of security in knowing I had the reliability of a Toyota powertrain. I also really enjoyed the smoothness, low speed quietness, and crazy range. I now have a CX-5(Which is way more fun to drive, but the turbo is a gas guzzler), as I needed a car and I wasn't going to pay a market adjustment or wait 6 months to get another Venza.
I got a v6 Highlander earlier this year and it feels like a sports car compared to our other car, a Crosstrek. It's not the most exciting car, but I even pop the transmission into manual mode in the mountains and it does pretty good!
I'm driving a 2022 Honda Passport (my 12th Honda). The Highlander would have been my second choice. Your daughter is adorable and it's cute how you include her. (I have 8 grandchildren, including 6 granddaughters so I am an expert on cute).
Nice too see a car review done up in the San Bernardino mountains, going up highway 18 and into the beautiful mountains, nice too see it being utilized for UA-cam
I work for Toyota and the Highlander Hybrid is a great seller, however, the Bronze Edition is NOT. Basically every single customer has something to say about the wheels and light interior. Just not the best combo, they sell of course but not at the pace they should sell.
Do you guys still have that car ? I'm really curious on the arm rest for the doors , be nice to have a video on that seems like you couldn't rest your arms ? Not sure if it was to low or to far away ?
Got to say, "Bronze" edition is an interesting marketing choice. Imagine that boardroom where the third place award medal was pitched, and picked, as the go to name. Why not Gold? Gold is too pretentious. Still a good car and a Great review as always Muzio family.
Mean, pickin' on her Lentils . . . I have a bag of the Seapoint Farms Edamame on my desk as I type. Great reviews as usual, guys. I love the Venza, but would have trouble deciding on a lesser trim with the normal buttons and getting that lovely roof!
High fives to you...and high fives for the bronze wheels. I'd like those bronze wheels even more if this Highlander were painted brown or that cool Army green Toyota use on other trucks. But seriously...this SUV is painted in a hue called "Cement"? A solid choice... (rimshot..)
I wish the hybrid had more power, I feel and am sure that I am too slow trying to speed up on the freeway. I have to floor it a lot of the time. In the future, I myself would consider the gas version or a hybrid SUV with more power.
Oh really Toyota, bronze wheels, those are the only vehicles that they still have in stock . Sometimes Toyota does not get the styling right at all here is a perfect example.
I love Toyota/Lexus over any other brand regardless of price or class. I’ve been driving since 1976 and have owned many brand, now I only buy Toyota and Lexus.
I love your videos, but sometimes when Micha reaches to the camera placed on the far right side, I feel he's almost going to hit his wife's head and that makes me very nervous for some reason.
This fails to compete in any way Micah to the pilot telluride palisade Those three were already the no brainer choices when thr 2020 Highlander came out and with the Highlander now going turbo, that argument only becomes stronger than ever. Even the upcoming grand Highlander won’t change a thing because as is typical with Toyota, they always screw up redesigns left and right. Don’t believe me? Look at the NX LX RX RZ BZ4X Tundra Sequoia Crown. Notice that not a single person came away impressed with it. In anything they were all major letdowns before they hit dealerships
@@dygardion9130 that doesn’t make it good. Just like McDonald’s sells the most burgers. Doesn’t mean they are better and neither is the Highlander. That’s a fact
Well when you’re talking about 3 row hybrid SUVs, there is no competition. It’s a very easy car to drive and interior experience is nice. And with Toyota reliability, it’s no wonder why it sells so well. “Yawn fest” is such a relative term
LOL! Great video. Not-so-great vehicle IMHO. It's ugly! I'm sure the folks at Flying Eyes were howling with both of you in this video. I know that I was 🤣 Here's your high-five ✋😃
I am watching classic car videos and like I have said the cars today are not what I imagined in the 1960s. The car videos test drives really displays how ugly everything on the road is today. Toyota is great though this vehicle is ugly in my perception.
For some reason, your channel and your channel only is being spoken in SPANISH the past few weeks. I can't figure out how to correct it so I'm unsubscribing. 😥🥺 been following you since pandemic helicopter rides over LA and it ends because of this.
You just got a new sub man. I have a family and it’s hard to find reviews of people who use a vehicle the same way I would. Great video!

We literally just shot a review of the Venza yesterday. I'll be curious to hear if our review matches your experience. So sorry it got totaled.
Looking forward to the Venza review! Looks like a great option for non Lexus AWD/hybrid. Very intrigued 😎
Thank you for not paying the markup.
Cx5 is awesome 👌
@@MicahMuzio Seems like you have never reviewed Volkswagen Tiguan. You may choose 2023 Tiguan (7 seat) for next review.

This is really a nice channel, with your entire family helping review vehicles. Really cool, man. Beautiful family. Wishing your channel the best!! 👊
Thanks so much!

I like the 3rd person view of outside the vehicle while driving keep up the great work most reviewers don’t do this-big fan.
I know this is a car review... but you guys are the epitome of relationship goals!
OK, the faux headstone for Micah was awesome and the wording on it is something that I expect, along with "Come get your high 5".
You guys are true entertainment. Thank you for the great reviews ❤️
It's all about branding, long torso also means short legs
Micah has FINALLY mastered the hybrid brakes!!! 🎉 I have a hybrid RAV4 and I don’t have a problem with brakes 99% of the time 😊
Good work. Just booked one of these for a road trip, glad to hear you and Sweetie didn't have any major gripes, 🙂

I appreciate the commenting on the outward visibility. So many reviewers don't take the time to do it.
Not a fan of the bronze wheels. I feel they're never going to look clean. But on the other hand, Micah is feeling sassy! So that's fun!🤣😂
The bronze wheels are vile!
Not a fan of the tint of bronze they used, but the wheel style itself is pretty ugly
@@MajorAddiction I agree...They look cheap.
6:30 🙀😹 35 mpg AWD 👍🏼
We're in the market for the 4Runner in 2024, will we see a new "power plant" under the hood?
Btw, fuel prices will never be conservative...
do you think you'll review the Grand Highlander? I've heard that the third row is much roomier than the regular highlander.

You guys should include a proper seat positioning portion when Evie takes the wheel??!! I hope I get to see one ably narrated by Micah! thx!!
❤ your channel! What about a comparison to the hybrid Ford Explorer?

And the Oscar for "Best Auto Review by a Long-Torso'd UA-camr" goes to... Micah Muzio!
Your comment made me laugh aloud. Thanks for that!
Actually that was in the 2020 model but seems to be the same door ??
Great review and thanks for reviewing other similar vehicles! Looks like the pathfinder you reviewed may be better value.
We loved our time in the Pathfinder. If we had to choose between it and the Highlander, we'd go with the Nissan.

Ugh the endless commercials and promotions on every YT video now...I can see that on cable...
Wasn't expecting the tombstone at the end😱👻

Hope he does a review on the upcoming 4 cylinder turbo version of this thing too.
How does it compare against the pilot? Honda kept the v6 there, and basic trims match the mid trims from toyota on features. Would be nice to compare
The pilot despite its age is still better
Better to drive, faster than the Highlander, more space, better packaging and more solid build quality
How does it compare with the Kia Sorento, in terms of driving feel?
Sorrento is far superior in driving feel
Excellent review of an excellent vehicle!😸

Hi, waiting for 2023 Highlander XLE review 🙂
Do I know what a RHETORICAL question is?
If that outboard armrest gets a 30%, what on Earth does a car have to do to earn a 0%? Not have a door panel?
Digging the BLIPSHIFT shirt🔥🔥🔥
Oddly enough, Evie’s underwhelming favorite feature is also my favorite feature! #cablemanagement #wireholetechnology
Yay!! Team wirehole technology!! 🎉🎉🙌
Is the 3rd row still tight for adults?
Extremely. Even at 5'5", I have trouble being even remotely comfortable back there. The third row is essentially useless unless you're a small kid
It's slightly better than the RX350L
I am 5’7” and I felt third row is better than Acura MDX.
Meu carro dos sonhos, para quando eu me mudar para o canadá!!!
A 3rd row SUV is midsize? What is considered full size then?
Tahoe, Yukon, Expedition...
How about the Mazda CX-9?
We've got one coming in December!
Great! I hope it’s a Signature version.
My base trim in any car needs to have faux leather (softex, leatherette, etc.) to control all the pet hair!
It looks like a new Supra to me. I think Toyota felt if you have a Supra and have a family, this would be your family car.
I tried to not like your channel. But here we are 😅

So sad that Toyota is ditching their very smooth and reliable V6. I'm not sold on turbos for family cars.
The hybrid is NA
Cx9 at the same price point is way to go

Does it have wireless android auto and fruit compatability? Toyota has been behind on this stuff. I also wish they made it a PHEV Highlander
Good question. Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay were wired for the 2022 we drove in this review. But for 2023 wireless is standard!
