Place your own drainage mortar terrace with the Staenis grid (with subtitles)

1 How to install your terrace yourself:
2 Take 5 parts of fine gravé stones ...
3 and 1 part cement.
4 Add water ...
5 and mix.
6 Check the mix.
7 First create an inclined surface without a grid.
8 For easy placement of the grid afterwards.
9 Place 4 corner points at the correct height.
10 Connect the 4 vertices ...
11 and take over the height of the vertices.
12 Now fill in everything in between with drainage mortar.
13 You can polish these to remove imperfections.
14 You will continue to work on this after drying.
15 Check the slope.
16 Prepare drainage mortar again.
17 Install the edge insulation ...
18 and fix it with drainage mortar.
19 Create a passage where necessary.
20 Divide the drainage mortar into the Staenis grid.
21 Remove the excess screed above the grate.
22 To do this, drag on the slats of the grid.
23 Prepare a 'smaller' amount of screed.
24 To do this, take 5 parts of sand, 1 part of cement and water.
25 Check the mix.
26 Sprinkle screed over the level surface ...
27 and rub it flat with a large sanding board.
28 Top up where necessary ...
29 and create a nice flat screed.
30 Polish the screed nicely flat with a scraping iron.
31 This will allow any glues to stick better to the screed.
