Yeezy really changed the slide game. Most slides now look Yeezy-inspired. Prior to that, a lot of people just wore the Nike Benassi slides. I remember going to a lot of get-togethers where so many people wore Benassi slides that at the end of the night, lots of people would end up wearing someone else's slides home. I'm glad the slide game is a lot more unique now lol. Btw, I agree with your comments on wearing Yeezy slides without socks, they're way too grippy & make those squeaky/fart noises when you walk in them barefooted, probably the only negative about them. Other than that, they are super comfty.
Same, never thought I'd end up liking them so much when they were so stiff at first. Although I'd wear my YZY slides more if they weren't so hard to get my feet in/out
Great review video on slides. I actually just bought a pair of the crocs mellow slides a couple of days ago. Can’t wait to try them on and see how they feel on my foot. Glad you choose them as your #1
As someone who ruptured their achilles 3 months ago, I own the adilette 22 and could not wear them once I started walking. I bought the Hoka recovery slides and they are hands down the best slides I've ever owned. Yeezy slides included. They have the perfect balance of support and once you break them in they're even better
If the Calm slides are too tight/narrow..... get out a blow dryer and warm up the upper portion of slides. Put on a few pairs of socks and put them on. It will stretch them just enough!!
I have one pair of those and their are really soft out of the box, but I think the foam give in too soon, and two months later it's not the same anymore.. not really sure about the offcourt durability... Also have the mellows taco bell edition, man thei are really light, and much more durable.. it ks worth a double price tag in comparison to the nike here in my region.. when your offcourt gets old, give the mellows a chance you won't regret
The mellows are so good! I picked them up a few weeks ago on sale, and they’re so comfortable and cushioned. i went a full size up on the crocs for a more loose fit and i love it. im a US13 and went with a US14. it really wasnt even too much room that its annoying, almost perfectly how you would expect a slide to be
Just a side note for you wide footers, the Crocs echo slide are super narrow around the cage part, and will rub on the inside's of your foot. They also ran a full size larger than I normally wear. I usually go a full size down to a men's 10. For this shoe I found I had to go to a men's 11, and even then, I really needed a half a size more. But otherwise, normal crocs I'm always a size 10, which is sizing down. They are super comfy. I also have the echo clog and they fit as usual (men's 10 for me). Super comfy. I always tend to get every slide I get a size up. haven't wore crocs yet though but I want to get a Mellow pair just to get a different color and style of slide for this summer.

just got my crocs mellow recovery! these slides are super comfy almost like yeezy slides with a very affordable price. go full size down for a perfect fitting. I'm usually size 10 on slides but I ordered size 9 and it fits perfect. Thanks for this awesome review Seth!
I think the adilette 22’s fit big. I ordered a size 12 my true size (wide footer) and the slides seemed like a size 13. I think the reason is that they’re listed in a UK size 12, which is a US 13
Facts! You really have to put some walking time into them, but they definitely become more gummy like once broken in. I own 3 pairs, and the most recent one I bought is way more stiff cause I haven't worn them as much as the others.
I tried them, they were so much firmer than the yeezys ended up returning them, did not wait for them to break in. I would like to see how much they change.
Oofos and Hoka slides are funky because they are recovery slides for runners. I have both and wouldn’t wear them for daily wear. They are life savers after long runs.
I tried both echo and mellow and these mellows are crazy comfortable the clogs are even better in my opinion! It’s like a future shoe and it looks clean and great for summer! I’m glad he put these on top because they are! Oofoos were an option but they don’t sell them in stores and I hate ordering shoes or slides online. I like to try my shoes on before purchasing but they looked so comfy and tried some I thought they were better than yeezy slides or as comfortable! But the price was high and found mellows for $60 and they were even softer and more available! Their literide tech is the big difference
I haven’t tried most of those slides but I do know that the adidas superstar older model slide is the absolute most comfortable slide out there especially after you break them in
If you do a follow up would be interesting to see how the Adidas Adicane Slides perform against the others. They seem very similar to the Crocs Mellow Recovery Slide without be "Crocs"
I agree the Oofos is soft but sits weird and arch is high. Why didnt you include Adilette Comfort Slides? These are super comfortable and currently my go-to.
Don’t take my adilite slides off and keep buying new ones in different colors. I think they are the best looking slide on foot and once broken in soft.
I was contemplating getting the mellow slides since my dog chewed up my boost slides which weren’t all that comfortable and with them being #1 solidifies it
My favorite pair of slides are the Adidas alphabounce slides. I ordered two additional pairs of them when I found out that Adidas was going to stop selling them.
