My brother had a Smart For Two EV in this same color scheme. Always thought it looked perfectly suited for warmer weather. It has a crispness to it! Nice Job.
Dope! I certainly don't think I invented this color scheme but I think the real finesse is in the discretion of where and how much accent color to utilize to achieve a desired aesthetic. I love this green color and had to fight the urge to make it ALLLLL green! :D
Outstanding work! Your color scheme is not my style, but I can appreciate the absolute level of detail that went into this project. Well done, man. I have some questions, though. I'd like to paint the gray plastic that surrounds the badge and runs under the DRLs, and the gray plastic on the doors. Can you please describe how you got those pieces off of painting? I'm mostly interested in the door pieces, because that's something I think I can realistically be able to remove. The rims also look really good. I'd just remove the plastic pieces I think, which I believe should be possible to just unscrew with the wheel off? Thanks, man.
The 'mustache' is easily removed from the backside after the bumper comes off the vehicle. Screws and one-way tabs. Removing the door trim is certainly the most challenging and will break the single use clips. Those must be replaced and that'll require a visit to the dealership parts dept. Wheel inserts are super easy, as you stated, take the wheel off and they're just screwed in place. Good luck!
@@Bythirteen Thanks for the reply. Dang about the door trims, was hoping they were easy. I guess I could try plastidip, as that wouldn't require removal - but probably not very durable. How does the wheels look without the inserts? Could be a cool temporary mod just to have something else to look at for a while.
