Couldn't agree more. "Voodoo Knight" is not the way the series should have ended. I don't know why they didn't stick with the original plan of having "The Scent of Roses" as the series finale.
In some countries, they do air Scent of Roses last. Also, The Hoff actually tried to get NBC to air Scent of Roses last, but they declined as they wanted a great episode during sweeps.
I never liked Super Pursuit Mode. It was not only a gimmick to revive interest in the show, but KITT looked like a bad Lego project with all the random things jutting out of it. Oh and we were also supposed to believe a gang of reformed hoodlums with a tool box custom made and installed SPM on KITT
Agreed. I never cared for it nor felt it had a tangible purpose. I also got the impression Hasselhoff didn't care much for it either, because whenever he said it before pushing the button, he always sounded bored.
There was a great drop in quality with a lot of episodes in season four. Poor writing, dull and not exciting, compared to the earlier seasons, which were much, much better.
I don't think "Voo Doo Knight" would be getting quite as much hate if it hadn't aired as the series finale. The only real let down for me regarding it as the finale was it guest starred John Vernon, who instead of reprising his previous role as Cameron Zachery (the man who ordered Tanya Walker to kill Michael Long in the first place), he returns in a different role. Just felt a wasted opportunity to have Michael in one last showdown with Zachery in the finale.
Bonnie was way hotter than April. They only brought April on because of Glenn Larsons suspicious non-sense about having a blonde in all his series. She was there because she used hair dye. Bonnie was way hotter. I was born too, late.

The thing that I hate is that voo doo knight was the last episode on the entire series. Is just the wrong way to end the series. Besides been not the best episode. In my opinion the last episode should had been the one when Michael gets married and almost leaving at the end KITT says: "Michael, where are we going?" And Michael replies going home, to family. The foundation. If that would have been the last episode the show would have given us a more nostalgic feeling and hope for a return of knight rider.
From what I know, nothing was planned. They wanted to do more episodes and more seasons before NBC just told them during season 4 "You guys are done for good." David also suggested exactly the same, but that episode was already aired, so they couldn't change the schedule.
Deadly Maneuvers was the first episode of KR I ever watched and I strongly disagree with it being a top ten worst. Reason being is it was a showcase into Michael's Army past and showcased David/Michael's range in being able to "improv" his way as it were into places without necessarily relying on Kitt's bag of tricks. My Dad recently retired from the Army at the time and he enjoyed the episode, probably because it felt relatively real. As for Kitt's abilities, yes there was the rocket booster/flame thrower, but you guys missed the point of Michael and Kitt managing to successfully dodge 105mm artillery and a couple of those Pyro explosions got a bit close (setting the car on fire at one point). Also, you guys missed an Easter Egg, there is a William Daniels cameo in the episode. He is one of three officers in a group that Michael approaches to converse with one of them. He has no lines, but his face and that mustache are unmistakable. Granted when you compare early Knight Rider to the later episodes, things were dialed back a bit regarding KITT, but to me these episodes have a bit more of a realistic charm to them, probably thanks to producer R.A. Cinader's approach to things thanks to his experience with Dragnet, Adam-12 and Emergency. I wish he hadn't passed away halfway through Season One like he did as Knight Rider could have had a little different feel going forward which would have felt more Robocop and a bit less A-Team with a super car in spots. Just my opinion though.
I'd say the worst things about this episode was some bad acting, extremely old stock footage, lack of understanding by filmmakers how artillery works, and that hideous runaway and welding tracks with flamethrower scene. And the fact that Michael visibly had no idea how to use guns or that army guys just stole a truck with ammo- you'd go to prison for taking someone elses transport. Otherwise it was a good episode, without major illogical stupidity in the script like many KR episodes have, and the stunts were huge and solid, even if KITT did not show many features.
"Custom made killer" is one of my favorite episodes. I don't understand why they didn't hire new screenwriters or ask Knight Rider fans for ideas. Voodoo Knight wasn't too bad. Some episodes from season 1 were horrible though.
I always gave Season 1 a pass because like most series, it takes time for a show to find its voice and to find out what works and what doesn't. I would say the 3rd season was the best, though I liked Season 2 episodes as well, such as the Goliath episodes and the one featuring the Gypsys.
I like custom made killer as well. There is the goof where the red and white fury became a green dodge coronet in the car was but other than that goof it was pretty good. I always liked the episodes where they pitted KITT against other vehicles such as kitt vs KARR, knights of the fast lane, etc.

In other words, season 4 was mostly junk. Even back as a kid when I had recorded every episode on VHS from TV, I barely rewatch any season 4 episode. It's a shame the series ended at such a low quality.
I know the plot for "Custom Made Killer" is a bit dull, but for some reason, it's one of the episodes I choose if I wanna chill out and put on a Knight Rider.
I do agree with you, it's one of my favorurites as well. Although yeah I wished they left out the fashion industry bit or to maffia vendetta (or something), it would have made more sense. But the stunts are solid and the honorable mentions are definitely worse than this.
It’s pretty obvious when the show got later into its life the more 80s-isms were apparent. Something about after 1985 the styles, fashions and lingo were in a state of flux and became what is, what I’d rather not suggest, quintessential 80s because there was more to the decade than that. As much as I like part one and two of Goliath, KITT flipping dice at the casino is hard to wrap my head around. It would’ve been different if Michael had swapped the dice for some with something inside for KITT to be able to manipulate.
Yes! That still stands as my all time favorite "Knight Rider WTF?!?...." moment. The other is when KITT turbo boosted up and out of a car crusher at a 45 degree angle from a dead stop. And if you want to really get into it, how exactly does turbo boost cause the car to jump into the air in the first place? (I'm sure some KR nerd will gladly fill me in on that in all it's nerdtastic detail much like how a Star Wars geek can spend a half hour on how Imperial Star Destroyers operate...) :-)

My favorite line from *The Rotten Apples* is where that one guy said to KITT *Man, you just knocked my socks off!* and KITT replies to that by saying *Yes, well, put them back on, it gets cold here at night* and the guy just gets a bewildered look on his face not realizing KITT was being literal when he said that.
While I don't care much for "Knight Song", I do love the addition of New Edition, especially their song Count Me Out. I actually have it on my memory stick among other songs to play at work.
Deadly Maneuvers wasn't too bad, I actually hated Season 4 the most. It did have some descent shows though. I couldn't stand RC3 and convertible KITT was too over the top.
So was that SPM crap. Sometimes they would show that KITT was going 240mph, which he could do in the 1 season. SMH. I was glad they gave Bonnie a more active role in season 4.
Actually I liked RC3 and I was happy they expanded the cast so we finally got to meet the semi-driver as a series regular. The only thing I didn't like about RC3 was that they tried to pass him off as "street" and/or "hood", when it was obvious he was hardly street, just a black guy trying to act like he was from the hood.
@@John-ct9zs RC3 wasn't the semi-driver. There was one episode where he was task to drive the semi. Other than that, he just hung around with Devon and Bonnie but didn't seem to have a defined role.
After "Voodoo Knight" (such a depressing end to the show), "Mouth of the Snake" was one of my worst. Not only a rubbish backdoor pilot, but a feature length one for some reason. Dalton's a truly lame character. You tune in for Michael and KITT having fun adventures and instead you spend most of your time staring blankly at an uptight, joyless health freak jogging endlessly on a beach and jumping on trampolines. Uh, hooray, I guess? They want you to think he's awesome. He's not. He's Poochie.
I thought “Knight Flight To Freedom” took place in “Val Verde”, the famed homeland of “Mr. Falcon” himself General Esperanza of Die Hard II, not to mention the General played by Ian McShane in the Miami Vice finale.
But I would take the whole 4 seasons of 80s knight rider over and knight rider 2000 movie , over team knight rider and knight rider 2008 series any day of the week.
I would have replaced Deadly Maneuvers with Mouth of the Snake. I really liked the music in Deadly Maneuvers although I do agree there should have been more action with K.I.T.T. Great list overall.
I like the music in Mouth of the Snake. Not all of it, but the bit in the middle where Dalton rescues Michael. And the sound of the nitrous powered stunt car played through my surround sound, roaring into the yard to "cut him off" still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
I can't remember the name of the episode, but I remember one where the bad guy tried to kill Michael with a frisbee with razorblades attached to it...which we thought was absolutely ridiculous.

I agree with most of the choices on the list, but I actually liked Deadly Maneuvers. Sure, KITT didn't really use a lot of powers, but he did withstand an artillery barrage, which really showcased how tough he was, beyond tanking a ton of bullets. Plus, I loved watching the sandwich guy's van get blown to smithereens. I dunno, I normally love seeing KITT show off his abilities, one the reasons why I love Super Pursuit Mode, but it didn't really bother me that not too many were shown in Deadly Maneuvers. I did notice that most of these episodes came from season 4, which I sadly have to agree. Other than SPM, and Michael's new haircut, season 4 didn't have much going for it.
What really annoyed me is the obvious fact that season 4 had a smaller budget and instead going out with a bang we had to put up with crap electronic soccer balls and dreadfully bad looking lava flows, oh and Michael and RC can now take on 20 or 30 Ninjas. Hi I'm Michael Knight and for my birthday I take on the cheap looking attack hovercraft.... Really. New Edition using KITT as percussion was a nightmare and finally what really made me angry was the fact that they suddenly decided to make KITT stupid and so take way everything that made him and Michael real friends and partners..... sorry I've gone on a bit but Knight Rider is so important and special to me and I hated Season 4. So I’d have probably replaced a few of these but overall a pretty fair list. The biggest error in Knight Riders entire run…The scent of Roses ends up in the middle of season 4 instead of being the Finale. HOW!?! And they end, instead with the worst episode ever…madness. Also surprised to see a season 1 episode in this list! I quite like deadly manoeuvres tbh 😂

That is, Michael and Kitt are seen very little because David and Catherine were about to go on honeymoon. So they created this episode from which a spin-off could be generated. I hate this kind of episodes, which was quite common in the '70/'90 shows. I can remember something similar in "The six million dollar man", "Ironside", "MacGyver", "Jake and Jason detectives", and even in the very old 1960's "Perry Mason". Anyway, the Italian site quoted the book "Kinght Rider legacy", in which, according to the site, the piece of news about David and Catherine's marriage is to be found.
Most episodes range from fun to just ok. “Knight Sting” is one of the fun ones. “Voodoo Knight” is the only one I consider shit, due to the supernatural elements.
Telling me not to press Turbo Boost is like telling a toddler not to eat his toys, it's not gonna get you very far. Although that Auto Suck button might distract me. Probably be a cool Siri and Alexa feature in a couple decades...
In Spain the last episode that aired of the series (August 1985) was "Knight of the Rising Sun" and the truth was noticeable since something was not right in the show. The fourth season was a disappointment, except for the pilot. I'm sticking with the first season forever.
I agree mostly, but Custom made killer was a good episode with good car chases, also deadly maneuvers was not bad considering being second episode of the series and having more 70’s style than the newer ones. Knight Flight to Freedom and Redemption of a Champion were actually good episodes with cool scenes. And i couldn’t agree more; voodoo knight was really a horrible episode, and it did not fit being the final episode of a legendary 80’s tv show. Before i watch this, I only remember 1 bad episode. VooDoo Knight. After watching- Yep, your no1 is what i hoped for. I actually like a few of the episodes listed here- I just get different satisfaction out of them. I was stunned that Knight Of The Rising Sun was on this list at #3. I really like that episode. Maybe i'm a sucker for the hokey-Martial-Arts related episodes. The sight of Kitt driving to the rescue, obscured by trees reminds me of the transition video effects that were sometimes used in badly dubbed tv programs - the green swipe. I often think that was an intended look in this episode. The fight sequence Michael and RC have, with the verbal back and forth is great and the soundtrack (still unavailable to buy) is my favourite of the series. I never realised what a terrible episode Deadly Manoeuvres actually is, (and to spell,) until you pointed at it and said "ha ha" like Nelson from the Simpsons. Yeah, it is bad. Maybe they wanted to get it out of the way nice and early before too many people started watching the show.
I actually enjoyed "Knight Song," but the others on the list I would mostly agree with. Again, "Circus Knights" should be included. "Knight Sting" is actually quite good because it gives the supporting cast members a lot more air time than normal. At least, I think it did.
Thats bad but the one i remember the most as being absolutely terrible is the one with the guy thats jumps very high and features Pedro Armendariz jr. A famous mexican actor. That episode was a 2 parter and both parts were horrible which its the case with episodes trying to serve as a starter for spin-off series.
Voo Doo Knight was a slap in the face and the end of era of all things knight rider quite literally and figuratively. Also.. have you guys considered making a video on filming goofs ups and mistakes by season?
@Mike Invades The World yep, IIRC it was Tim Kring's first writing gig, and he knocked it out in half an hour. To be fair though, he was pretty young at the time.
The one's listed, Eh..Yeah while I agree to some extent? When I sit down and binge watch (At least 1 or 2 times per year.) Season 4 is always the one I skip over. Season 3 had it's issues also. You can just always tell where the writers/producers are tired of doing a show and wanna move on. All the scripts are just phoned in and done very half assed. It's always when you see writer's do these things, They want the series to die from ratings. Which worked, Cause that is what happened. I hear there is a reboot being made with Hasselhoff involved. Let's hope they do it justice. And we can have Knight Rider not only on the big screen but people love it as we did.
Most of these episodes are from the fourth season. The problem was the scripts, so I think they didn't have any ideas anymore and they started putting ninjas, vooding and things that took the spirit away from the show. I don't realize how Larson didn't intervene to get things back on track so he could have a fifth season (1986-1987).
Burial Ground is the only episode I've never finished. I try, oh do I try, on every rewatch I queue it up but I never make it past my cousin telling KITT he's his reincarnated god and starts doing a dance. Holy hell, what a nightmare
The worst episodes for me were the ones that went something along the lines of: -A. Save Mindy McGees sheep from Baron von No-Fucks-Given the Oil Tycoon -B. Save some annoying little obnoxious screaming brat who won't shut-up whenever he's on screen -C. The episodes that felt like the show was wagging its finger at the audience whilst saying "this is wrong" Having said this, one of my favourites was that episode with the Dagger DX (Ferrari 308) and Porsche street racing in spite of falling under C (e.g. KITT: 'Lead paint - no one in the civilized world uses that', Michael: 'No one accused these guys of being civilized' and the whole 'street racing is wrong, deadly and dangerous' vibe (which was counter-posed with 'I'm not saying they're innocent, but these guys aren't the real criminals' in Whiteline Warriors)).
At 3.12 in your video. A wheel can be seen on the wheel ramps as kit drives into the trailer. Ive not heard you mention a small wheel on your latest trailer video regarding the ramp.
What interests me is, why did they not make a actual finale for the show. Because voo doo knight was not really a great last episode and not a great episode in general. Did they have a finale planed and they just didnt have the time to make it. Thats something i would like to see explaned in a video.
Personally, I would have to disagree with three choices: "The Rotten Apples", "Custom Killer" and "Burial Ground". I really like all of those. Granted, "Rotten Apples" isn't exceptional - and David Hassellhoff trying to dance is cringey (even HE says that) - the episodes I would put i their place would be any of the ones with Catherine Hickland in them. It's nothing against her, I just don't care for them. In my opinion, they're too "lovey dovey" for me and the focus was more on their relationship offscreen than on, not to mention their cringey crooning to each other. "Knight Sting" should take the place of one of the above three. Let the hate responses begin. I can take it.

@@JulieDeOutdoors It's good to see a female fan commenting on the channel. When I mention Knight Rider to most women I know, they hated it, they thought it was cheesy rubbish. Looking back at it, I can see why most women disliked it, I mean it was full of really glamourous women, even the extras, so I can see why they felt a kind of way watching it. It was definitely a show for the boys looking back at it, really light hearted entertainment that could turn the dial between cheesy and serious and that's what in part was so appealing about it for me, especially as a kid.
@@Longlostpuss Maybe in USA. Here in Italy most women/girls loved KR, no less than the men/boys. Many female schoolmates of mine were huge fans of the show, mainly because of David. So was my grandmother. So is even nowadays my mother who still loves Kitt's adventures.

Respectfully disagree with Knight of a thousand devils, custom made killer, redemption of a champion and knight sting. Everything else was spot on. Season 2 has alot of eye rolling episodes too. You need to do a part 2 to this video.
Burial Ground is actually the only one I don't agree with on your list. It was a bit different and done well overall in my opinion. I don't think it so obviously suffers from glaring quality issues as the rest of the shows on the list. Custom Made Killer always upset me because you've got this hired killer with a super cool nitrous oxide boosted plymouth fury with an inside out retractable plow on the front to use as a ram bar, and the killer is working for a mob style fashion house financier? Seems like this hired killer and his incredibly cool car would be better suited to a more 'above the law' type villain or set of villains with a more complex plotline worthy of the foundation's attention. The bad guy and his organization in this episode could have easily been taken down by a beat cop on his coffee break. I have always thought Night Song is actually as bad or worse than Voodoo Knight as far as being absolutely unwatchable for huge swaths of the episode.
_"Give Me Liberty... or Give Me Death"_ I really liked that one (in part due to Don Peake music during the race). The obvious parody to _'The Dukes..."_ was kinda out of line though. Also, it was clear the production hadn't decided on KITT's functionality yet, 'Rocket Fire' to jump and 'Turbo Boost' to go faster, lol.
@@dannyr2976 I just thought that was an editing mistake as Michael previously pressed Rocket Fire in "Not a Drop to Drink" to create a landslide. They also made another editing error in Season 3 "Knight in Retreat", where a mysterious finger presses the Turbo Boost button even though KITT's driving on auto cruise without Michael.

So many people do these Top 10 and Bottom 10 listings. I’d like to see, rather, a “Comfort Food 10”. These would be the episodes that are quintessential Knight Rider, not great, not bad, but the kind of episodes you’d show someone to introduce them to Knight Rider or run in the background while grilling on a Saturday evening.
I am currently watching all four seasons of Knight Rider and though there were some scenes or episodes that were "bad," it was and is actually still quite good to watch today. It would have been nice to see more of Rebecca Holden as well. Peter Parros played his character of RC 3 quite alright. One of my favourite episodes is Knight Song, because I am quite fond of (The) New Edition and their guest appearance in the episode. I am really sorry guys, but I beg to differ from the viewer's choice of the top ten worst Knight Rider episodes, however everyone is entitled to his or her own opinions... 🙂
I still keep meaning to comment/compare on the "Top 10 Best" video, but an interesting Worst of list. Most of the expected candidates are here ... namely, mostly those limp, late fourth season entries (have to confess I've never been much of a fan of the fourth season all-round generally). A few thoughts - * Surprised to see 'The Rotten Apples' on the list - yes it's very "naff 80s" and far from the best episode, but I wouldn't say one of the weakest either. The "80s teens" are of the comic book variety and would have been stereotypes even at the time, but plot-wise I've actually never really minded this episode. * 'Knight of a Thousand Devils' is one of those limp late episodes though not the weakest; we've all seen KITT involved with various races before, but he just doesn't seem to actually do much within this one. * I've always found 'Custom Made Killer' very bland, maybe the dullest of the third season. It's one of those "corporate espionage"-related stories the series occasionally did and that could sometimes be really dull - such as here! * I'll have to refamilairise myself with 'Burial Ground' (I know s1-3 inside out but here in the UK, the fourth season wasn't repeated for some years and there's a few I still feel 'distant' from!) but I recall finding it one of the more middling fourth season episodes. * Truly amazed to see 'Deadly Maneuvers' featured, IMO does not belong on this list. :) Although a comedown after the Pilot (and as such, maybe overly-ripe for analysis as the first regular episode broadcast-wise), I've always quite liked this one. Easy to forget greats such as 'Goliath' didn't have a KITT Turbo Boost in; Allan Oppenheimer and Devon Ericsson are good guest stars and the explosive climax is very good. Not quite a series classic but I certainly wouldn't rank this as one of the weaker episodes, there's weaker in just the first season alone IMO. * 'Knight Flight to Freedom' is another need-to-refamiliarise-with episode, but I real whilst having a potentially exciting plot, this one felt really thrown together and half-hearted as the series sadly spluttered towards the end of it's run. * 'Redemption of a Champion', yeah, bland. Part of NBC's "get 'big' guest stars into shows" push of that year (common also on the concurrent season of 'The A-Team' and elsewhere), unengaging story that just doesn't feel like 'Knight Rider'. * 'Knight of the Rising Sun'... yeah, horrible. Boring, stereotypical, has a "being made just to bump up the numbers to sell into syndication" feel, another sad splutter from the death throes of our beloved series. * 'Knight Song' I have bizarre memory of really enjoying... when I first saw it... when I was 8 years old! When(!) I refresh myself with it now, I'll probably see it for the tat it is, but I'm not sure I'd quite put it at second worst either. * And finally we all expected it, 'Voo Doo Knight'. It would be a bad episode regardless, and just feeling like it doesn't "work" within the 'Knight Rider' universe, but the fact it serves as the final episode (why didn't they go with 'The Scent of Roses', as Hasselhoff and others so wanted?!) rubs salt into a bitter wound. Literally zero KITT action (even stock footage would have sufficed!), rubbish story, no Bonnie, and the final scene just feels so empty on so many levels for what would, sadly, be the end of the show. What else would I have included? I'd have to think... there's a few really dull and unengaging ones from all of the four seasons, though many of those are redeemed by at least a couple of good stunts of character moments. Personally I've always loathed s2's 'Mouth of the Snake' (a.k.a. 'All that Glitters'), yes it's a backdoor pilot, but with barely any Michael and KITT features AND being dragged out to two whole hours... It's always been in my Bottom 5. One of two of the other late fourth season entries might also make my list... and I've always oddly never liked s2's 'Let it Be Me', which I always just found somehow excruciating (though that's probably just me). BTW, extra kudos for featuring Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, from my other all-time favourite series (well, that and 'The A-Team'), from the fourth season episode "Pin the Tail on the Dukes". :)
Custom Made Killer is one of my all time faves. It was something of an homage to "Christine" (1983) When I reviewed it on my channel, NBC did their best to block me but in the end I prevailed.
Surely a storyline like Voodoo Knight would vbe more suited to an episode of Wonder Woman or The Incredible Hulk maybe The Six Million Dollar Man even The Bionic Woman but no not Knight Rider
I don't agree with this selection. Voodoo Knight is quite sweet, trash and funny. The most ridiculous episodes are Knight Sting and Hills of fire. KITTS classic car wax camouflage and a flying soccer ball named SID. Today, drones are used, okay, but in 1985/6 flying soccer balls? No.1 of the worst episodes ever is Circus Knight. All these Circus "stuff" is more for kids than for tough action fans.

You forgot one, *Dead of Knight* was a completely useless episode, in fact, you could tell they must have run out of scripts or money that week. The whole episode is filled with footage from the pilot, Knight of the Phoenix. The whole ending is the ending seen of the pilot. This show will always be my favorite but there were some they could have just left on a story board somewhere and forgot. I caught your comment about the later incarnations of Knight Rider. I will never consider that horrible movie Knight Rider 2010 part of the franchise. Then that movie Knight Rider 2000, what on earth were they thinking? I remember being so excited about it, then sitting down and watching it live. And then I got up feeling like someone hit me over the head with a brick. A complete insult to the Michael Knight character, obviously a lead-in to a new show with a crappy car and a woman as the lone crusader. Kind of like the bomb unaired pilot for the Greatest American Heroin. Now when I first starting watching Team Knight Rider, I couldn't decide how I felt, mostly disappointed. But about a year ago, I pulled out my DVD set and watched them all over again and they weren't as bad as I remember. I think the show format was just a little head of the curve at that time. I will say that I enjoyed Team Knight Rider better than the 2008 Knight Rider show. I will give thumbs up on the 2008 Knight Rider pilot. If they had carried the show on based off the pilot, it would have been great. But who can stand watching the terrorist and bikini of the week show that is supposed to be about one man making a difference. About a man that helps out the little guy and that the car is also a cast member if not really the star. Of course they realized their mistake a little too late. People wanted to see the original KITT and Michael come on from time to time and they wanted it more down to earth and humanized. I will say that Val Kilmer made an excellent new KITT voice, they just forgot that KITT is a star of the show as well. Never CGI turbo boost, I would just rather not see it all if that is the best they can do.
Custom made killer has a funny goof. When the red and white 1976 plymouth fury goes into the car wash for the color transformation, it comes out as a green 1976 dodge coronet. The split in the dodge's grille vs the Plymouth's solid grille and the fact the turn signals move from the grille to the bumper are noth telltale signs..

Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazzard are connected by Boy Meets World. The father on Boy Meets World was in The New Dukes episode of Dukes where he played a bad guy. We all know that William Daniels was the neighbor and teacher/principal on the show. Hope you find that interesting and can find more connections like that for the two shows.
Season 4 was by the far the worst season. It's a shame. Season 2 was the best. Sounds like they just gave up especially regarding Voo Doo Knight filming and script.

I dont undestant why it had to end... There were many characters and stories to explore... Even some prior to Kitt existence, Wilton Knight is a great character! So is Devon... Could have explored more of their stories. I Guess the creativity was all spent on kitt's habilities.
100% Agree on Redemption Of A Champion, Knight Song & Voo Doo Knight. The others and the honourable mentions I’m actually ok with as I see them more as ok fillers rather than outright terrible episodes. Other ones that I really don’t like are The Final Verdict, A Nice, Indecent Little Town Silent Knight Diamonds Aren’t Girl’s Best Friend, White Line Warriors A Good Knight’s Work Knight In Retreat Circus Knights But to Knight Riders credit, it had way more good episodes than bad ones compared to its competitors at the time.
Season 4 with super pursuit mode and all that suffered from the same problem as so many other shows did at the time.. the ratings go down a little bit over time, people get worried and think the show needs to change to the a new audience. Best case they re-compose the title theme for no reason (hate that so much), worst case they do change the formula of the show or introduce stupid gimmicks. A-Team was killed the same way by making the mercenaries working for a government guy and no longer working for normal people that needed help. When you do that, inevitably the show suffers in quality and then dies because not only did you not gain a new audience you also alienated the original one.
When I watched KR on Netflix when they had it, I knew it had jumped the shark when KITT was driving through lava. Just being NEAR lava can burn a human being. I know KITT has the molecular bonded shell, etc etc, but lava? What are the tires and brakes made of? The fuel tank? Exhaust? Lava is 2,000 degrees F. Seems like the MBS and tires and whatever all is underneath the car would burst into flame. Michael and RC would roast inside KITT like a couple of turkeys.
I have a soft spot for Voodoo Knight it shouldn’t have been the final episode heck Knight Rider should have had two more season for me the more episodes the better.Dick Durock who played Del Fryes Hulk and Swamp Thing is one of the henchmen in Voodoo Knight but yea another great video I look forward to more including a video on all the different Trans Am that was used as Kitt through the shows run.I am still looking for an 82 to make my Kitt replica but to find a decent ones is hard keep up the great work.
Any episode with that featured that horrific super pursuit mode version of Kitt, is on my worst episode list. God I hated that super pursuit car, dumbest looking car ever, totally ruined the show for me. They really jumped the shark with that whole super pursuit car. I was always a huge fan of the show and even had a brand new black 89 firebird formula, mainly because the formula model in 89 still looked the most like Kitt.
I agree that Voo Doo Knight was the worst from season 4 finale. But i found season 4 to be much darker than the other seasons. Like for example Fright Knight, Kittnap, Out of the woods, Deadlyknightshade, Killer KITT, and Hills of fire. Also the background sound of some episodes were mysterious and suspenseful. Well that's my opinion. But still a very interesting video, great job 👍 👍 👍
Knightrider 2000 is the worst one of all :) It's just so depressing. I know, I know, it was not part of the series, but it's supposed to take place in the same continuity and has David Hasselhoff, Edward Mulhare and William Daniels in it. So.... :P
Oh I agree the absolute worst episode of Knight Rider which does deserve a "razzy award" would be Voodoo Knight. First the idea of the voodoo princess and earrings that basically turn human beings into proverbial zombies is just too unbelievably fiction. There were a few I do agree with.. Knight Song was one of them. The kids in the episode were a treat as was Jerry Conners singing and playing the piano during the episode, both worthy of Emmy's. However the story was very weak to say the least, though I got the show premise of Michael and RC wanting to help the salt of the Earth overcome a corporate bully who's trying to push people out of their neighborhood to build big business buildings in their place. Deadly Maneuvers I don't think should've been in the list. It both gives prudence to Michael's previous military experience and also is a tribute to the U.S. Military at the same time. The episode with KITT, Michael and RC traveling to Mexico to stop a coup was just plain nonsense. That episode should've been scrapped or at the very least re-written for its overly political subtexts.
to me Knight Rider 2000 is the True final episodes Knight Rider wile non canon , for the longest time i had the theorize that the pic of the red car in the that hangs in the semi in the background may be a the future version of KITT as the Knight 4000

I believe “A Nice Indecent Little Town” should have been included. Along with.. “Just My Bill, Not a Drop to Drink, and I’m sure I’m missing a few more from Season One. I believe the first season was the weakest season and a handful of bad episodes. Knight Rider got better in season 2... and my favorite seasons were 3 and 4. I agree with the second part of the list. However, I do find Custom Made Killer and Rotten Apples amusing, not great but wouldn't consider them among the worst. Unlike the total lackluster Redemption or Voodoo. K Flight to Freedom could have been much better with a little more tweaking and a lot less lava/chili sauce. I'd add Return to Cadiz, though, because Kitt doesn't belong on water either.
I'm kinda 50/50 with this list in terms of agreeing and disagreeing but I can definitely agree that "Voodoo Knight & Knight Of The Rising Sun" definitely deserve to be on this list for obvious reasons. But definitely keep these Knight Rider videos coming this is great content for us fans, who truly appreciate the series for what it is.

In some countries, they do air Scent of Roses last. Also, The Hoff actually tried to get NBC to air Scent of Roses last, but they declined as they wanted a great episode during sweeps.

I never liked Super Pursuit Mode. It was not only a gimmick to revive interest in the show, but KITT looked like a bad Lego project with all the random things jutting out of it.

Super Pursuit Mode needed a reason, the plot didn't even need SPM. There's no opponent/enemy who is faster than non-SPM KITT.

The tv show "Street Hawk" had hyperthrust on the futuristic motorcycle so Knight Rider created super pursuit mode for KITT, in season four.

There was a great drop in quality with a lot of episodes in season four. Poor writing, dull and not exciting, compared to the earlier seasons, which were much, much better.
I don't think "Voo Doo Knight" would be getting quite as much hate if it hadn't aired as the series finale. The only real let down for me regarding it as the finale was it guest starred John Vernon, who instead of reprising his previous role as Cameron Zachery (the man who ordered Tanya Walker to kill Michael Long in the first place), he returns in a different role. Just felt a wasted opportunity to have Michael in one last showdown with Zachery in the finale.
And there where no buttons used in this episode…Damn !!

The thing that I hate is that voo doo knight was the last episode on the entire series. Is just the wrong way to end the series. Besides been not the best episode. In my opinion the last episode should had been the one when Michael gets married and almost leaving at the end KITT says: "Michael, where are we going?" And Michael replies going home, to family. The foundation. If that would have been the last episode the show would have given us a more nostalgic feeling and hope for a return of knight rider.
That one was supposed to be the finale from what I've heard, but I didn't hear why it got shoved into the middle of the season.
One the weakest in my opinion
From what I know, nothing was planned. They wanted to do more episodes and more seasons before NBC just told them during season 4 "You guys are done for good." David also suggested exactly the same, but that episode was already aired, so they couldn't change the schedule.
Deadly Maneuvers was the first episode of KR I ever watched and I strongly disagree with it being a top ten worst. Reason being is it was a showcase into Michael's Army past and showcased David/Michael's range in being able to "improv" his way as it were into places without necessarily relying on Kitt's bag of tricks.
My Dad recently retired from the Army at the time and he enjoyed the episode, probably because it felt relatively real. As for Kitt's abilities, yes there was the rocket booster/flame thrower, but you guys missed the point of Michael and Kitt managing to successfully dodge 105mm artillery and a couple of those Pyro explosions got a bit close (setting the car on fire at one point).
Also, you guys missed an Easter Egg, there is a William Daniels cameo in the episode. He is one of three officers in a group that Michael approaches to converse with one of them. He has no lines, but his face and that mustache are unmistakable.
Granted when you compare early Knight Rider to the later episodes, things were dialed back a bit regarding KITT, but to me these episodes have a bit more of a realistic charm to them, probably thanks to producer R.A. Cinader's approach to things thanks to his experience with Dragnet, Adam-12 and Emergency. I wish he hadn't passed away halfway through Season One like he did as Knight Rider could have had a little different feel going forward which would have felt more Robocop and a bit less A-Team with a super car in spots. Just my opinion though.
I'd say the worst things about this episode was some bad acting, extremely old stock footage, lack of understanding by filmmakers how artillery works, and that hideous runaway and welding tracks with flamethrower scene. And the fact that Michael visibly had no idea how to use guns or that army guys just stole a truck with ammo- you'd go to prison for taking someone elses transport. Otherwise it was a good episode, without major illogical stupidity in the script like many KR episodes have, and the stunts were huge and solid, even if KITT did not show many features.
I just liked that one because my dad laughed like mad when they revealed the TNWs, as he was in the army previously.
The only episode that i don't agree with is "Deadly Maneuvers", i really enjoyed that episode. I would put there "Just My Bill" instead

"Custom made killer" is one of my favorite episodes. I don't understand why they didn't hire new screenwriters or ask Knight Rider fans for ideas. Voodoo Knight wasn't too bad.
Some episodes from season 1 were horrible though.
I always gave Season 1 a pass because like most series, it takes time for a show to find its voice and to find out what works and what doesn't. I would say the 3rd season was the best, though I liked Season 2 episodes as well, such as the Goliath episodes and the one featuring the Gypsys.
I like custom made killer as well. There is the goof where the red and white fury became a green dodge coronet in the car was but other than that goof it was pretty good. I always liked the episodes where they pitted KITT against other vehicles such as kitt vs KARR, knights of the fast lane, etc.

I know the plot for "Custom Made Killer" is a bit dull, but for some reason, it's one of the episodes I choose if I wanna chill out and put on a Knight Rider.
I dig that. I think the villain (german guy) is compelling, while the plot may not be...
I do agree with you, it's one of my favorurites as well. Although yeah I wished they left out the fashion industry bit or to maffia vendetta (or something), it would have made more sense. But the stunts are solid and the honorable mentions are definitely worse than this.

It’s pretty obvious when the show got later into its life the more 80s-isms were apparent. Something about after 1985 the styles, fashions and lingo were in a state of flux and became what is, what I’d rather not suggest, quintessential 80s because there was more to the decade than that.
As much as I like part one and two of Goliath, KITT flipping dice at the casino is hard to wrap my head around. It would’ve been different if Michael had swapped the dice for some with something inside for KITT to be able to manipulate.
Yes! That still stands as my all time favorite "Knight Rider WTF?!?...." moment.
The other is when KITT turbo boosted up and out of a car crusher at a 45 degree angle from a dead stop.
And if you want to really get into it, how exactly does turbo boost cause the car to jump into the air in the first place? (I'm sure some KR nerd will gladly fill me in on that in all it's nerdtastic detail much like how a Star Wars geek can spend a half hour on how Imperial Star Destroyers operate...)

My favorite line from *The Rotten Apples* is where that one guy said to KITT *Man, you just knocked my socks off!* and KITT replies to that by saying *Yes, well, put them back on, it gets cold here at night* and the guy just gets a bewildered look on his face not realizing KITT was being literal when he said that.

Deadly Maneuvers wasn't too bad, I actually hated Season 4 the most. It did have some descent shows though. I couldn't stand RC3 and convertible KITT was too over the top.
So was that SPM crap. Sometimes they would show that KITT was going 240mph, which he could do in the 1 season. SMH. I was glad they gave Bonnie a more active role in season 4.
Actually I liked RC3 and I was happy they expanded the cast so we finally got to meet the semi-driver as a series regular. The only thing I didn't like about RC3 was that they tried to pass him off as "street" and/or "hood", when it was obvious he was hardly street, just a black guy trying to act like he was from the hood.

After "Voodoo Knight" (such a depressing end to the show), "Mouth of the Snake" was one of my worst. Not only a rubbish backdoor pilot, but a feature length one for some reason. Dalton's a truly lame character. You tune in for Michael and KITT having fun adventures and instead you spend most of your time staring blankly at an uptight, joyless health freak jogging endlessly on a beach and jumping on trampolines. Uh, hooray, I guess?

I would have replaced Deadly Maneuvers with Mouth of the Snake. I really liked the music in Deadly Maneuvers although I do agree there should have been more action with K.I.T.T. Great list overall.
I like the music in Mouth of the Snake. Not all of it, but the bit in the middle where Dalton rescues Michael. And the sound of the nitrous powered stunt car played through my surround sound, roaring into the yard to "cut him off" still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
I can't remember the name of the episode, but I remember one where the bad guy tried to kill Michael with a frisbee with razorblades attached to it...which we thought was absolutely ridiculous.

I agree with most of the choices on the list, but I actually liked Deadly Maneuvers. Sure, KITT didn't really use a lot of powers, but he did withstand an artillery barrage, which really showcased how tough he was, beyond tanking a ton of bullets. Plus, I loved watching the sandwich guy's van get blown to smithereens. I dunno, I normally love seeing KITT show off his abilities, one the reasons why I love Super Pursuit Mode, but it didn't really bother me that not too many were shown in Deadly Maneuvers. I did notice that most of these episodes came from season 4, which I sadly have to agree. Other than SPM, and Michael's new haircut, season 4 didn't have much going for it.
What really annoyed me is the obvious fact that season 4 had a smaller budget and instead going out with a bang we had to put up with crap electronic soccer balls and dreadfully bad looking lava flows, oh and Michael and RC can now take on 20 or 30 Ninjas. Hi I'm Michael Knight and for my birthday I take on the cheap looking attack hovercraft.... Really. New Edition using KITT as percussion was a nightmare and finally what really made me angry was the fact that they suddenly decided to make KITT stupid and so take way everything that made him and Michael real friends and partners..... sorry I've gone on a bit but Knight Rider is so important and special to me and I hated Season 4. Your channel is awesome 👌 please do more these top 10s 😎

That is, Michael and Kitt are seen very little because David and Catherine were about to go on honeymoon. So they created this episode from which a spin-off could be generated. I hate this kind of episodes, which was quite common in the '70/'90 shows. I can remember something similar in "The six million dollar man", "Ironside", "MacGyver", "Jake and Jason detectives", and even in the very old 1960's "Perry Mason". Anyway, the Italian site quoted the book "Kinght Rider legacy", in which, according to the site, the piece of news about David and Catherine's marriage is to be found.
As a kid I remember "Rotten Apples" as one of my favorites. What kid doesn't like Monster Trucks! But as an adult I can agree the plot isn't the best.

Most episodes range from fun to just ok. “Knight Sting” is one of the fun ones. “Voodoo Knight” is the only one I consider shit, due to the supernatural elements.

In Spain the last episode that aired of the series (August 1985) was "Knight of the Rising Sun" and the truth was noticeable since something was not right in the show. The fourth season was a disappointment, except for the pilot. I'm sticking with the first season forever.
I agree mostly, but Custom made killer was a good episode with good car chases, also deadly maneuvers was not bad considering being second episode of the series and having more 70’s style than the newer ones.
Knight Flight to Freedom and Redemption of a Champion were actually good episodes with cool scenes.
And i couldn’t agree more; voodoo knight was really a horrible episode, and it did not fit being the final episode of a legendary 80’s tv show.

I actually like a few of the episodes listed here- I just get different satisfaction out of them.
I was stunned that Knight Of The Rising Sun was on this list at #3. I really like that episode. Maybe i'm a sucker for the hokey-Martial-Arts related episodes. The sight of Kitt driving to the rescue, obscured by trees reminds me of the transition video effects that were sometimes used in badly dubbed tv programs - the green swipe. I often think that was an intended look in this episode. The fight sequence Michael and RC have, with the verbal back and forth is great and the soundtrack (still unavailable to buy) is my favourite of the series.
I never realised what a terrible episode Deadly Manoeuvres actually is, (and to spell,) until you pointed at it and said "ha ha" like Nelson from the Simpsons. Yeah, it is bad. Maybe they wanted to get it out of the way nice and early before too many people started watching the show.

I actually enjoyed "Knight Song," but the others on the list I would mostly agree with. Again, "Circus Knights" should be included. "Knight Sting" is actually quite good because it gives the supporting cast members a lot more air time than normal. At least, I think it did.
Thats bad but the one i remember the most as being absolutely terrible is the one with the guy thats jumps very high and features Pedro Armendariz jr. A famous mexican actor. That episode was a 2 parter and both parts were horrible which its the case with episodes trying to serve as a starter for spin-off series.

The one's listed, Eh..Yeah while I agree to some extent? When I sit down and binge watch (At least 1 or 2 times per year.) Season 4 is always the one I skip over. Season 3 had it's issues also. You can just always tell where the writers/producers are tired of doing a show and wanna move on. All the scripts are just phoned in and done very half assed. It's always when you see writer's do these things, They want the series to die from ratings. Which worked, Cause that is what happened. I hear there is a reboot being made with Hasselhoff involved. Let's hope they do it justice. And we can have Knight Rider not only on the big screen but people love it as we did.
There really is no excuse for auto-suck when you have “The Mayor” as your heavy, but somehow the Season Four writing staff pulled it off.

Most of these episodes are from the fourth season. The problem was the scripts, so I think they didn't have any ideas anymore and they started putting ninjas, vooding and things that took the spirit away from the show. I don't realize how Larson didn't intervene to get things back on track so he could have a fifth season (1986-1987).
My understanding is the show was getting really expensive and the lower ratings didn't make it a good investment.
Burial Ground is the only episode I've never finished. I try, oh do I try, on every rewatch I queue it up but I never make it past my cousin telling KITT he's his reincarnated god and starts doing a dance. Holy hell, what a nightmare
The worst episodes for me were the ones that went something along the lines of:
-A. Save Mindy McGees sheep from Baron von No-Fucks-Given the Oil Tycoon
-B. Save some annoying little obnoxious screaming brat who won't shut-up whenever he's on screen
-C. The episodes that felt like the show was wagging its finger at the audience whilst saying "this is wrong"
Having said this, one of my favourites was that episode with the Dagger DX (Ferrari 308) and Porsche street racing in spite of falling under C (e.g. KITT: 'Lead paint - no one in the civilized world uses that', Michael: 'No one accused these guys of being civilized' and the whole 'street racing is wrong, deadly and dangerous' vibe (which was counter-posed with 'I'm not saying they're innocent, but these guys aren't the real criminals' in Whiteline Warriors)).
At 3.12 in your video. A wheel can be seen on the wheel ramps as kit drives into the trailer. Ive not heard you mention a small wheel on your latest trailer video regarding the ramp.
What interests me is, why did they not make a actual finale for the show. Because voo doo knight was not really a great last episode and not a great episode in general. Did they have a finale planed and they just didnt have the time to make it. Thats something i would like to see explaned in a video.

Personally, I would have to disagree with three choices: "The Rotten Apples", "Custom Killer" and "Burial Ground". I really like all of those. Granted, "Rotten Apples" isn't exceptional - and David Hassellhoff trying to dance is cringey (even HE says that) - the episodes I would put i their place would be any of the ones with Catherine Hickland in them. It's nothing against her, I just don't care for them. In my opinion, they're too "lovey dovey" for me and the focus was more on their relationship offscreen than on, not to mention their cringey crooning to each other. "Knight Sting" should take the place of one of the above three. Let the hate responses begin. I can take it.

Looking back at it, I can see why most women disliked it, I mean it was full of really glamourous women, even the extras, so I can see why they felt a kind of way watching it.
It was definitely a show for the boys looking back at it, really light hearted entertainment that could turn the dial between cheesy and serious and that's what in part was so appealing about it for me, especially as a kid.
@@Longlostpuss Maybe in USA. Here in Italy most women/girls loved KR, no less than the men/boys. Many female schoolmates of mine were huge fans of the show, mainly because of David. So was my grandmother. So is even nowadays my mother who still loves Kitt's adventures.

Knight of a thousand devils, custom made killer, redemption of a champion and knight sting. Everything else was spot on. Season 2 has alot of eye rolling episodes too. You need to do a part 2 to this video.
Burial Ground is actually the only one I don't agree with on your list. It was a bit different and done well overall in my opinion. I don't think it so obviously suffers from glaring quality issues as the rest of the shows on the list. Custom Made Killer always upset me because you've got this hired killer with a super cool nitrous oxide boosted plymouth fury with an inside out retractable plow on the front to use as a ram bar, and the killer is working for a mob style fashion house financier? Seems like this hired killer and his incredibly cool car would be better suited to a more 'above the law' type villain or set of villains with a more complex plotline worthy of the foundation's attention. The bad guy and his organization in this episode could have easily been taken down by a beat cop on his coffee break. I have always thought Night Song is actually as bad or worse than Voodoo Knight as far as being absolutely unwatchable for huge swaths of the episode.
The general lee one was cringey, really poor and just sour grapes as Dukes tv show was awesome too 🇺🇸🦅👍

Also, it was clear the production hadn't decided on KITT's functionality yet, 'Rocket Fire' to jump and 'Turbo Boost' to go faster, lol.
@@dannyr2976 I just thought that was an editing mistake as Michael previously pressed Rocket Fire in "Not a Drop to Drink" to create a landslide. They also made another editing error in Season 3 "Knight in Retreat", where a mysterious finger presses the Turbo Boost button even though KITT's driving on auto cruise without Michael.

So many people do these Top 10 and Bottom 10 listings. I’d like to see, rather, a “Comfort Food 10”. These would be the episodes that are quintessential Knight Rider, not great, not bad, but the kind of episodes you’d show someone to introduce them to Knight Rider or run in the background while grilling on a Saturday evening.
I am currently watching all four seasons of Knight Rider and though there were some scenes or episodes that were "bad," it was and is actually still quite good to watch today. It would have been nice to see more of Rebecca Holden as well. Peter Parros played his character of RC 3 quite alright. One of my favourite episodes is Knight Song, because I am quite fond of (The) New Edition and their guest appearance in the episode. I am really sorry guys, but I beg to differ from the viewer's choice of the top ten worst Knight Rider episodes, however everyone is entitled to his or her own opinions... 🙂
I still keep meaning to comment/compare on the "Top 10 Best" video, but an interesting Worst of list. Most of the expected candidates are here ... namely, mostly those limp, late fourth season entries (have to confess I've never been much of a fan of the fourth season all-round generally). A few thoughts -
* Surprised to see 'The Rotten Apples' on the list - yes it's very "naff 80s" and far from the best episode, but I wouldn't say one of the weakest either. The "80s teens" are of the comic book variety and would have been stereotypes even at the time, but plot-wise I've actually never really minded this episode.
* 'Knight of a Thousand Devils' is one of those limp late episodes though not the weakest; we've all seen KITT involved with various races before, but he just doesn't seem to actually do much within this one.
* I've always found 'Custom Made Killer' very bland, maybe the dullest of the third season. It's one of those "corporate espionage"-related stories the series occasionally did and that could sometimes be really dull - such as here!
* I'll have to refamilairise myself with 'Burial Ground' (I know s1-3 inside out but here in the UK, the fourth season wasn't repeated for some years and there's a few I still feel 'distant' from!) but I recall finding it one of the more middling fourth season episodes.
* Truly amazed to see 'Deadly Maneuvers' featured, IMO does not belong on this list. :) Although a comedown after the Pilot (and as such, maybe overly-ripe for analysis as the first regular episode broadcast-wise), I've always quite liked this one. Easy to forget greats such as 'Goliath' didn't have a KITT Turbo Boost in; Allan Oppenheimer and Devon Ericsson are good guest stars and the explosive climax is very good. Not quite a series classic but I certainly wouldn't rank this as one of the weaker episodes, there's weaker in just the first season alone IMO.
* 'Knight Flight to Freedom' is another need-to-refamiliarise-with episode, but I real whilst having a potentially exciting plot, this one felt really thrown together and half-hearted as the series sadly spluttered towards the end of it's run.
* 'Redemption of a Champion', yeah, bland. Part of NBC's "get 'big' guest stars into shows" push of that year (common also on the concurrent season of 'The A-Team' and elsewhere), unengaging story that just doesn't feel like 'Knight Rider'.
* 'Knight of the Rising Sun'... yeah, horrible. Boring, stereotypical, has a "being made just to bump up the numbers to sell into syndication" feel, another sad splutter from the death throes of our beloved series.
* 'Knight Song' I have bizarre memory of really enjoying... when I first saw it... when I was 8 years old! When(!) I refresh myself with it now, I'll probably see it for the tat it is, but I'm not sure I'd quite put it at second worst either.
* And finally we all expected it, 'Voo Doo Knight'. It would be a bad episode regardless, and just feeling like it doesn't "work" within the 'Knight Rider' universe, but the fact it serves as the final episode (why didn't they go with 'The Scent of Roses', as Hasselhoff and others so wanted?!) rubs salt into a bitter wound. Literally zero KITT action (even stock footage would have sufficed!), rubbish story, no Bonnie, and the final scene just feels so empty on so many levels for what would, sadly, be the end of the show.
What else would I have included? I'd have to think... there's a few really dull and unengaging ones from all of the four seasons, though many of those are redeemed by at least a couple of good stunts of character moments. Personally I've always loathed s2's 'Mouth of the Snake' (a.k.a. 'All that Glitters'), yes it's a backdoor pilot, but with barely any Michael and KITT features AND being dragged out to two whole hours... It's always been in my Bottom 5. One of two of the other late fourth season entries might also make my list... and I've always oddly never liked s2's 'Let it Be Me', which I always just found somehow excruciating (though that's probably just me). BTW, extra kudos for featuring Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, from my other all-time favourite series (well, that and 'The A-Team'), from the fourth season episode "Pin the Tail on the Dukes". :)

I don't agree with this selection. Voodoo Knight is quite sweet, trash and funny. The most ridiculous episodes are Knight Sting and Hills of fire. KITTS classic car wax camouflage and a flying soccer ball named SID. Today, drones are used, okay, but in 1985/6 flying soccer balls? No.1 of the worst episodes ever is Circus Knight. All these Circus "stuff" is more for kids than for tough action fans.
That's what's been bothering me. I agree that Hills of Fire was just total crap (because of the dumb SID thing).So, yeah, maybe it could go in here somewhere...
You forgot one, *Dead of Knight* was a completely useless episode, in fact, you could tell they must have run out of scripts or money that week. The whole episode is filled with footage from the pilot, Knight of the Phoenix. The whole ending is the ending seen of the pilot. This show will always be my favorite but there were some they could have just left on a story board somewhere and forgot.
I caught your comment about the later incarnations of Knight Rider. I will never consider that horrible movie Knight Rider 2010 part of the franchise. Then that movie Knight Rider 2000, what on earth were they thinking? I remember being so excited about it, then sitting down and watching it live. And then I got up feeling like someone hit me over the head with a brick. A complete insult to the Michael Knight character, obviously a lead-in to a new show with a crappy car and a woman as the lone crusader. Kind of like the bomb unaired pilot for the Greatest American Heroin. Now when I first starting watching Team Knight Rider, I couldn't decide how I felt, mostly disappointed. But about a year ago, I pulled out my DVD set and watched them all over again and they weren't as bad as I remember. I think the show format was just a little head of the curve at that time.
I will say that I enjoyed Team Knight Rider better than the 2008 Knight Rider show. I will give thumbs up on the 2008 Knight Rider pilot. If they had carried the show on based off the pilot, it would have been great. But who can stand watching the terrorist and bikini of the week show that is supposed to be about one man making a difference. About a man that helps out the little guy and that the car is also a cast member if not really the star. Of course they realized their mistake a little too late. People wanted to see the original KITT and Michael come on from time to time and they wanted it more down to earth and humanized. I will say that Val Kilmer made an excellent new KITT voice, they just forgot that KITT is a star of the show as well. Never CGI turbo boost, I would just rather not see it all if that is the best they can do.
I’ve watched the entire series countless times. Accurate list. These aren’t the greatest episodes but for the most part I can watch them.
Custom made killer has a funny goof. When the red and white 1976 plymouth fury goes into the car wash for the color transformation, it comes out as a green 1976 dodge coronet. The split in the dodge's grille vs the Plymouth's solid grille and the fact the turn signals move from the grille to the bumper are noth telltale signs..

Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazzard are connected by Boy Meets World. The father on Boy Meets World was in The New Dukes episode of Dukes where he played a bad guy. We all know that William Daniels was the neighbor and teacher/principal on the show. Hope you find that interesting and can find more connections like that for the two shows.

I dont undestant why it had to end... There were many characters and stories to explore... Even some prior to Kitt existence, Wilton Knight is a great character! So is Devon... Could have explored more of their stories. I Guess the creativity was all spent on kitt's habilities.
100% Agree on Redemption Of A Champion, Knight Song & Voo Doo Knight. The others and the honourable mentions I’m actually ok with as I see them more as ok fillers rather than outright terrible episodes.

But to Knight Riders credit, it had way more good episodes than bad ones compared to its competitors at the time.
Season 4 with super pursuit mode and all that suffered from the same problem as so many other shows did at the time.. the ratings go down a little bit over time, people get worried and think the show needs to change to the a new audience. Best case they re-compose the title theme for no reason (hate that so much), worst case they do change the formula of the show or introduce stupid gimmicks. A-Team was killed the same way by making the mercenaries working for a government guy and no longer working for normal people that needed help. When you do that, inevitably the show suffers in quality and then dies because not only did you not gain a new audience you also alienated the original one.
When I watched KR on Netflix when they had it, I knew it had jumped the shark when KITT was driving through lava. Just being NEAR lava can burn a human being. I know KITT has the molecular bonded shell, etc etc, but lava? What are the tires and brakes made of? The fuel tank? Exhaust?
Lava is 2,000 degrees F. Seems like the MBS and tires and whatever all is underneath the car would burst into flame. Michael and RC would roast inside KITT like a couple of turkeys.

I have a soft spot for Voodoo Knight it shouldn’t have been the final episode heck Knight Rider should have had two more season for me the more episodes the better.Dick Durock who played Del Fryes Hulk and Swamp Thing is one of the henchmen in Voodoo Knight but yea another great video I look forward to more including a video on all the different Trans Am that was used as Kitt through the shows run.I am still looking for an 82 to make my Kitt replica but to find a decent ones is hard keep up the great work.

God I hated that super pursuit car, dumbest looking car ever, totally ruined the show for me. They really jumped the shark with that whole super pursuit car.
I was always a huge fan of the show and even had a brand new black 89 firebird formula, mainly because the formula model in 89 still looked the most like Kitt.

I agree that Voo Doo Knight was the worst from season 4 finale. But i found season 4 to be much darker than the other seasons. Like for example Fright Knight, Kittnap, Out of the woods, Deadlyknightshade, Killer KITT, and Hills of fire. Also the background sound of some episodes were mysterious and suspenseful. Well that's my opinion.

Knightrider 2000 is the worst one of all :) It's just so depressing. I know, I know, it was not part of the series, but it's supposed to take place in the same continuity and has David Hasselhoff, Edward Mulhare and William Daniels in it. So.... :P

Oh I agree the absolute worst episode of Knight Rider which does deserve a "razzy award" would be Voodoo Knight. First the idea of the voodoo princess and earrings that basically turn human beings into proverbial zombies is just too unbelievably fiction. There were a few I do agree with.. Knight Song was one of them. The kids in the episode were a treat as was Jerry Conners singing and playing the piano during the episode, both worthy of Emmy's. However the story was very weak to say the least, though I got the show premise of Michael and RC wanting to help the salt of the Earth overcome a corporate bully who's trying to push people out of their neighborhood to build big business buildings in their place. Deadly Maneuvers I don't think should've been in the list. It both gives prudence to Michael's previous military experience and also is a tribute to the U.S. Military at the same time. The episode with KITT, Michael and RC traveling to Mexico to stop a coup was just plain nonsense. That episode should've been scrapped or at the very least re-written for its overly political subtexts.
Voodoo Knight is so aggravating because it is the final episode of the entire series which deserved a better finale than that flaming bag of dog shit.

Thank you, Joe, for your video. But I don't agree with your picks. "Voo doo knight", "Knight song" and "Deadly maneuvers" - yes. But the rest episodes are fine, not the worst.
I believe “A Nice Indecent Little Town” should have been included. Along with.. “Just My Bill, Not a Drop to Drink, and I’m sure I’m missing a few more from Season One. I believe the first season was the weakest season and a handful of bad episodes. Knight Rider got better in season 2... and my favorite seasons were 3 and 4.
I really enjoyed episodes like Custom Made Killer.... and yes... Rotten Apples DID have some catch phrases that could have been removed. ........ Thanks for another great video... have a great day

@@FirstDan2000 I actually forgot about that scene.... but overall... my point is that there were good and bad episodes in the first season. It really started to pick up and get better in season 2.
I agree with the second part of the list. However, I do find Custom Made Killer and Rotten Apples amusing, not great but wouldn't consider them among the worst. Unlike the total lackluster Redemption or Voodoo. K Flight to Freedom could have been much better with a little more tweaking and a lot less lava/chili sauce. I'd add Return to Cadiz, though, because Kitt doesn't belong on water either.

I'm kinda 50/50 with this list in terms of agreeing and disagreeing but I can definitely agree that "Voodoo Knight & Knight Of The Rising Sun" definitely deserve to be on this list for obvious reasons. But definitely keep these Knight Rider videos coming this is great content for us fans, who truly appreciate the series for what it is.
