    Thank you for all the great content. I am currently trying to build a hunting bow mainly for Treestand hunting. I want some thing at 50 pounds that doesn’t stack. What would your recommendations be?

      Oh thank you brother! That's a great question! Are we talking one-piece, longbow, recurve, Takedown, ILF and at what draw length and what budget? I'd love to figure this one out together!

    • @mumurioste790
      @mumurioste790 Місяць тому +1

      This would be on a budget of 600 US. I have a 27 inch draw length and I was thinking about an ILF riser recurve or longbow is fine with me. I have been shooting Bear recurves for years but I know there is other bows out there that shooting better and don’t stack as bad as Bear

      @@mumurioste790 awesome! I'd go 17 inches on the riser with plenty of deflex paired with neutral limb pads. Also, Wf19 with medium recurve limbs would make a killer and fast setup. Maybe you'd find a set on the used market. Wood or metal riser?

    • @mumurioste790
      @mumurioste790 Місяць тому +1

      Thank you for the info. I love the look of wood but metal is just fine for me. I found a Allegheny 17″ Ranger - ILF Riser but I don’t know much about them though.

      @@mumurioste790 great riser but in my opinion not fish nor meat. No deflex paired with relexed limp pads is contra productive and the lack of accessory bushings for rests etc take away most of the benefits of having an ilf system. Save on the riser and get a used Titan in 17 or 19 inches, a WF 19 or one of the Bosen risers.
      Spend money on the limbs! Huge of the Bosen RCS myself, which are their regular carbon/foam recurve limbs, MK Korea machx or zest spray painted are dope for hunting, maybe the best limbs I've shot. Get a eagle flight quiver which dampens the limbs and doesn't mess with your balance of the bow, a nap center rest flipper arm for incredible arrow flight and a Spectra 652 14strand string with well installed cat whiskers for a weather proof and absolutely quiet setup that can do anything for ya.. Btw, thank you for the motivation. I haven't shot my bow in a bit and just got excited!

    I really enjoy your videos. After reading some of your comments on Facebook I purchased a set of these carbon/foam limbs. I really liked them and ordered a second set. First set came in in about 2 weeks and the second set arrived in just over 1 week after I ordered them. I have them on a 17" DAS riser and I have a 29" draw. I have to say from a quality perspective they appeared to be equal to a $600 dollar limb. I have quite a few sets of higher end carbon recurve limbs from other manufacturers and I have to say I was blown away at the quality of this limb. I have had several sets of ILF longbow limbs in the past and just haven't been pleased but these shoot really nice.

      Measured at 1 turn out, as is usually recommended. I'd say you got about 2 lbs adjustment. The poundage isn't actually as variable on ilf rigs as people think and wish it is if you still want to maintain proper tune, sound and shoot ability. The tiller bolts are for that, tiller. I bought a custom formula RCX bosen limbs on my 19 buffalo hoyt riser it makes 60" /52 lbn. Must say that geometry consistency and engineering overall are excellent. But compared to Uukha set should say that Bosen limbs are much more stiffer to pull. If you look for a good combo price 2 quality go for a such lonbow limbs or RCX its the same materials under 360USD. But their XC hunting 550 USD I would rather pay 200eur more and buy me Uukha for better feeling no stacking limbs

      I hear ya. Still can't compare apples and pears. The limbs you are talking about are static recurves. Which means they need to be tillered and in length fitting your draw length or they will max out. I find that at my 27. 5 inch draw, the Wf19 in combo with the medium RCX static recurve limbs opens up and sits perfectly. On a longer riser they don't open fully, on a shorter one I get slightly past the sweet spot. Hope that helps.

      I think what you meant was the 21 inch riser and the longer limbs were a no go. Not necessarily the Satori design.
      I think I’m going to risk it on a set of medium limbs on it and see how I like it. I also hunt with 64 inch bows in the Rockies and Alaska. Never had a problem getting around, and I hunt deep in nasty. Recently I have been using Uukha Gobi mediums on my Satori 21. I just really want an ilf longbow that performs and is consistent.
